I liked this piece a lot when we first saw it. Blue is a really good color for Adam. And I like the spooky face in the middle of it. LOL

Notice the clever placement of "touches" of Greens and Blues around the room....to "pick up" the colors in the painting......definitely a "decorator"trick. Wonder if Adam did it himself, or a professional.

I hope that painting wasn't used to replace that handsome "giode/minerals" abstract that I liked. Also, I hope that painting won't make Adam as "jittery" as it would me if I was living with it every day..

I like it, but couldn't live with it. I have the same problem with portraits....those eyes...all the time!

Art and decor is a very personal "thing" with me...I get too involved. LOL.

BTW...When I said "jittery", I wasn't referring to the "spooky face" Dee R Gee sees in it, but the "busy" and "jittery" outlines of all the colors...instead of being a bit smoother, more undulating, and more soothing to the eye/psyche, IMO.

Very very pretty. It looks better than it ever has. Wasn't to sure about the art piece when I first saw it, but now that it's 'home' it looks perfect. I like the feel of the painting.

None of it's for me personally, I really like having a swivel-rocker-recliner.

Currently, that painting "owns" the room. It still needs stronger "touches" of greens and blues for balance...a large plant perhaps?...more pillows in similar shades to the painting?....a colored "throw"?...a blue chair?....whatever.....depends on what the rest of the room looks like....paintings in complimentary colors on the other walls could help, too.

Just a thought re comments above: we're only seeing a very limited part of the room i.e. this part of a larger wall, and some furniture, a bit of floor.. . As I recall it's fairly good sized room so calls for some bigger pieces.. Including this new artwork which I would assume pulls it all together. And no doubt when viewed as a whole, it looks fantastic.. Which I think it does anyway.. :))) Very nice piece of art...

Exactly glitzylady...as I said it depends on what the rest of the room looks like....but those colors have to turn up throughout...for balance...maybe they do/will...we just don't know.

It all looks very classy to me. Beautiful color themes and accessories. Adam likes his comforts but he also likes a kind of sleek, sophisticated look. It suits him. That painting is definitely a perfect focal point, kind of abstract but with some warmth.

Maybe his mum had a hand in the decor touches of colour ... ??

I think we also need to remember that Adam has a very artistic soul and an eye for style and beauty.. I suspect that many of the decorator touches in his home are things that he himself has chosen, along with perhaps some additional suggestions from friends & family (including his mom who is an interior designer among other things.. I do think this room is beautiful and very "Adam"...

You're right. Adam is very artistic in more ways than one. I remember those several "off the cuff" sketches that he did during interviews, radio visits, etc. He has a great instinct for the essence of something and he can sketch it out and capture it. I hope we see more of his sketches sometime. I see a coffee table book sometime in the future!

Dee R Gee... one of those sketch-interviews you mention was in Australia...still available on Youtube. I read that the station later auctioned Adam's signed still-life watercolor off (for charity) for $2500.

I had liked that light-hearted still-life so much that I copied it from the computer...blew it up a bit larger, framed it, and hung it in my guest bedroom. People have complimented it, and are surprised to learn that it is an Adam Lambert watercolor.

...... I DID explain that it was only a copy. LOL
