It is so cold in North Dakota that a skunk froze standing up by the railroad track.
-33 below and 54 wind chill. To cool for school, and no mail or garbage. We have to be dye hards living in North Dakota. Usually nothing stops us. It is going to warm up to 28 above on Saturday, so have to get my grocery shopping done. And back down again with temperatures, and sounds like a snow storm coming our way. Anyway just had to tell my sad story. How old is Adam now? He looks so young. Happy birthday baby boy. A true fan forever.

creamtangerine....why on earth was that skunk standing by the RR track in the first place?...waiting for a train?...or just disembarked from one? I think the moral of this story is "Don't get off the train in North Dakota". Haha, couldn't resist!

BTW creamtangerine....I had a pet skunk many years ago. He had the most wonderfully thick and glossy coat imaginable. Fortunately, he loved to cuddle, so I got to experience his luxurious coat first hand...and it was glorious! Your story about the skunk freezing standing up in your North Dakota weather...and he must have had his winter coat on!... makes me shudder! That is REALLY life threatening weather! Take care!

I loved your skunk story, it made me laugh. Yes we do have some kind of weather in North Dakota. Have to dress in layers. It just does not seem to let up. One or two nice days, and back to the darn cold again. You have to grow up here, to stick around. But it does have it's good points also. Lots of clean air. Good place to raise kids, jobs are plentiful.

creamtangerine...yes, and I bet there is lots of big, beautiful clean open country to enjoy...which I love. But such extreme cold in the winter is really daunting!
