Our beloved Michael Orland, Associate Musical Director of American Idol for a whopping 16 seasons, started his own weekly Idols interview show on his Instagram Live account (@michaelorland) during the pandemic, to great acclaim. Earlier this week (April 15th), his special guest happened to be none other than another of our beloveds, Allison Iraheta. No surprise that Adam was lovingly discussed!
The next day, April 16th, Adam's friend, Australian recording artist Sam Sparro, went onto his IG Live (@samsparro) to have a conversation with a recent collaborator, British recording artist MNEK — and, here, too, the subject of Adam was brought up, to great praise.

Adam Lambert To Appear on as Guest Judge on HBO Max's Legendary Series

HBO Max's answer to RuPaul's Drag Race is a show called Legendary. The show's producers just announced (reported here by Logo's NewNowNext website) that the show will have a Season 2 and, along with MC Dashaun Wesley and regular judges Leiomy Maldonado, Jameela Jamil, Law Roach and Megan Thee Stallion, there will be select guest judges — one of whom includes Adam Lambert. No specific airdate for his episode has been announced yet. Other guest judges include Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson and Demi Lovato. HBO Max is a paid subscription streaming service that is separate from the basic HBO you find on cable and satellite sytems. (Note: Adam is not included in the Season 2 trailer below.)

Guitar Player interviewed Brian May a few days ago, which appears to have only been published in print form. The website LOUDWIRE (among others) covered the piece, but honed in on a specific portion of it where Brian talks about his, Roger Taylor's and Adam Lambet's recent experimentation with creating new music. While this has a very, very exciting ring to it, there is also a somewhat nebulous aspect to this news, so I would keep your hopes guarded!
