"Mr. Leno easily won the late-night ratings competition across the board with 5.8 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among the 18-49 audience that NBC always points to as the main measure of success (because of advertiser preferences for that group.)It easily overtook CBS’ David Letterman (3.7 million) and ABC’s “Nightline” (3.3 million)."

adam is always popular, am sure the headline was truel
I can't believe on the headline news on other websites,they are saying Palin is the reason why Jay's viewers have increased. Granted, it may have helped but Adam helped too! I turned in for Adam and I had to suffer through Palin's dumb speech.
No way I was watching Pailin. I tevoed it, skiped through this monster and watched my bb Adam. The ratings are high BC of Adam. Fuck the headlines. WE know the truth.

Oh, please. Get real. Jay had THREE people as guests who attracted various interest groups: Palin and her lemmings; Shawn White fresh off the slopes with his gold medal; Adam, the pop vocal phenom. Let's be honest about this whole thing people. I watched Shawn White and Adam. The voice alone without the politics kept me from watching the other guest. I am sure, though, that many watched to see that person. All three have their followers.

I had mute on for Palin. Enjoyed Shaun. And then, Adam brought the house down. Did you see the pic of the studio audience giving him a standing ovation? Awesome version of SW.
OMG, so glad you all can't stand Palin either, her voice is ridiculous, not to mention her politics of Stupidity...fuck!
That said, Adam killed it last night, and Shaun White is always fun. I watched for them 2....
I muted Palin, watched Shaun and Adam. Adam was freaking awesome.
wow i did the same thing i muted Palin. I watched a little of shawn white. Then was amazed by Adam's preformance.
Did y'all watch Leno last night when Chelsea was his guest? She started sniffing when she sat down in the same seat Palin sat in the night before and said she smelled moose! Anyway, no one should underestimate Adam's effect on Jay's ratings - Adam shot up to #1 Twitter trending topic right away and stayed in the top 5-6 for hours after the show. Didn't see Palin or Shaun White trending. Also, I read on AO that Jay, Shaun White and all the producers stood and watched Adam's performance, and the audience gave Adam a very enthusiastic standing o that really caught Adam a little off-guard - he was very, very appreciative. Sounds like he got LOTS of love all around!
We sure did stand and we gave Adam huge applause. Shawn White was amazing and fun. Jay had him sign his Wheaties box, my he must have an amazing autograph collection. Palin I have to say was fun, I have a better opinion of her now even though I differ in my outlook on life. Sad to see such hateful stuff here. We hate it when people attack Adam so let's have some class and be above that. None of the pictures I have seen have done justice to how hot Adam was that afternoon. Great International look that is much better than what he wore for Fantasy Springs. The band was amazing and you can tell Jay is a big fan and he really liked Sleepwalker!!!
Sorry slept thru Jay until Adam came on and my husband woke me up. Wow, I was awake then when I saw Adam and the band. Adam sounded great. Loved the song. He looked so good. Loved his eye make up. Thought it was nice of Shaun to come over and shake hands with Tommy and Adam. Sorry I missed Shaun's spot. Congrats for bringing home the gold! Congrats to Adam for Whataya Want From Me going gold too. No comment on Sarah.
