Adam Lambert continues to have the best-selling Idol track with Whataya Want From Me, according to Nielsen SoundScan. And, other than Carrie Underwood's new single, Undo It -- sales of which jumped 141 percent week-over-week -- most of the top-selling Idol tracks saw decreases or tiny gains.

Adam Lambert, Whataya Want From Me (43,000, -17 percent, 1.146 million)
Kris Allen, Live Like We're Dying (19,000, -12 percent, 1.391 million)
Carrie Underwood, Temporary Home (13,000, -25 percent, 455,000)
Daughtry, Life After You (12,000, -15 percent, 688,000)
Carrie Underwood, Undo It (12,000, +141 percent, 102,000)
Carrie Underwood, Cowboy Casanova (10,000, -12 percent, 1.33 million)
Kelly Clarkson, All I Ever Wanted (9,000, -10 percent, 97,000)
Carrie Underwood, Before He Cheats (4,000, -4 percent, 2.995 million)

I don't get it..why is Carrie Underwood selling over a million on each single she debuted? I'm probably biased since country music is one of the few genres I try my best to avoid listening to, but...seriously?..I didn't know the US had so many country fans.Ugh. WWFM should be seeling over a million too...well at least it's an international single making sucess outside the US.
Go Adam!

Country fans don't download music on the internet so they buy them. It's not fair to compare country music to pop music like Adam's. If Carrie goes the pop route, she wouldn't be selling as much as she is right now.

Yep, alot of country fans buy music traditionally... and the operative phrase here is "country fans buy music" - just generally they seem to be quite willing to open their wallets for the artists they like. It is a HUGE market in USA! And as an aside, in terms of one little thing that Lambert gets crap for - country has huge buying power in their middle aged fans! Like that's a bad thing (lordy it makes me mad when Lambert gets flack for that!!! Just haters and negative people overall I think). And 'though I have no real knowledge of this, I suspect that it does not occur to a lot of country music buying fans (except for maybe teens/20-somethings) to obtain their music by "piracy" which is so prevalent nowadays, just a gut fealing, and this makes a difference.

i think it must be the US country fans that FIXED the best music video for Taylor (boring)Swift when it clearly should have gone to Beyonce for Single Ladies on the music awards show that kanye west went and took mic and said his thing

What?! Beyonce got video of the DECADE! Video of the year is paltry next to that honor!
