Brad Bessey of Entertainment Tonight updated fans about Adam's situation.
"Adam Lamert was on vocal rest - per doctor. His tells me he came down with Laryngitis over the weekend with his tour next week. With his tour next week doctor said no to singing in "Idols return" surprise that came together last min. ET will be there next week for Adam's dress rehearsals and first show (of course) we'll ask him about it then. : ) It's very important to him that he is in top form...so vocal rest it is."

LAMBERTS VOICE" -- do so...Its a great article and the world needs to know why we ALL need to love him...not just the ones on this website.
this will straighten up the speculation that he did not turn up at AI9 rehearsal and becoming a diva.

Entertainment Tonight has always supported Adam. It was good that Brad Bessey cleared up what was certainly badly aired rumors. Who ever started this nonsense should be ashamed. But, I don't thnk they will be. Some love to spread hate where it doesn't belong.
Thank you for stating the facts! Adam deserves to be known not only as an incredible singer and briliant artist, but as an honest, humble person as well.
Adam himself has stated that he was NEVER asked to perform in any capacity in the Idol finale. He was told he could sit in the audience, and he said no to that. Then he came down with the bug. So this guy's statement isn't accurate either.
It sounds as if the "past idol alumni on stage" thing was a last minute thing,which Adam couldn't have done anyway, because of his throat and being behind in his preparations for his tour!!!! Whats the big deal. Katherine McPhee, and Clay Aiken weren't there either.
Maybe ADAM "WASN'T" asked to perform on stage with the other Idols PERSONALLY .. maybe it was his handlers who spoke to whoever was putting together that portion of the show & they thought it better that he not do so since he was obviously working on his tour & also had the BUG (laryngitis) ... so why take a chance of NOT being able to perform on the tour for 'what?' ... 5 min. on stage or better yet sitting in the audience with a miserable SORE THROAT? When I have laryngitis ... I can't even SWALLOW much less get all GLAMMED up & go out. I think ADAM made a WISE choice by staying home & OBEYING doctor's orders! There's no cover up here ... only PURE LOGIC ... IF YOU ARE SICK .. STAY HOME!!!
No matter who speaks up in adams favor there's always those who are going to think negative about adam no matter what, so haters go get a life and leave adam alone.
