This is the best interview I have seen in a while. Finnigan seems to know how to have an intelligent conversation with someone. He didn't act all ditzy and stupid like a lot of other interviewers.

Adam always does well in any interview. He is so articulate and knows what he wants to say.

I agree. This was a great interview! Loved every second of it.

Does Adam ever gets to rest? or does he ever gets tired? If it's not interviews, it's meet and greet the fans, signing autographs, who knows what else is behind the scene that we don't see and yet he is still so pleasant, so cool and collective! Just amazing, I wonder if he ever gets grouchy? :)

Is Adam's tour family friendly because if it's not, i'm not going with my 5 year olds. I don't want him to be a bad influence.

Please answer me.

omg NOT ANOTHER TROLL! First, Kris Allen Christy and now Gokeygirl? loool!!!

Adam must be doing something right now that the haters are googling him and stumbling upon 24/7.

You know you've made it when haters have started to stalk you.

The same thing happened to Gaga when she was starting to blow up worldwide. Haters coming from left and right in her forums etc.

Adam will rule the world in 2010!

But I really hope Adam doesn't read all these troll comments. :( Does anyone know if Adam visits this site?

Anonymous said...

Yes it is, but I think a 5 year old would be too young to take to Adam's concert. It's family friendly for ages 16 to 85. That's my answer to your question. Hope this helps.:)

11:05 Why don't you stick with Gokey? Why would you be taking a 5 year old child to a late night concert anyway? You need to do a better job of parenting.

If you click on this link to the youtube video of Adam kissing Tommy from a few days ago..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky9zASS90L8

and click on the 29,000 # of views, there's a list of where most of the people watched that video. Nearly 2,000 people saw that video on 24/7's website. Let's compared that number of views to Adamofficial's 743 views. And Idol forum's 696. I bet Adam's family visits this site too.

But I am sure Adam reads 24/7. I remember when 24/7 posted a video a fan tribute video and a few hours later, Adam posted the link to that youtube video on his twitter.

But don't worry about the trolls. Adam probably get a kick out of reading their comments.

This is directed to 11:05. You say you don't want Adam to be a bad influence. That is a stupid comment in view of the fact you would be willing to take a very young child to any concert. A five year old does not belong out this late in the evening. The child would be bored. This is not the circus or Disney. This is a pop concert. No fan wants to sit next to very young child so suggest you get a sitter if you really want to attend.

Please familiarize yourself with Adam's charity doing a great job of raising money for supporting the arts in schools.

lol omg. I am NOT a troll. I am a Danny Gokey fan but I also watched Adam on American Idol and would like to take my sons out to concerts this summer. Adam is just one of the concerts I'm considering.

But I am really skeptical because of that AMA fiasco last year. Will he do any of those things on stage? Those are not family friendly. But I admit I enjoyed some of this performances like Mad World and If I Had You and Play That Funky Music.

Just making sure!

Lisa said...

Sigh. There's always drama in Adamland...and I LOVE IT.

but seriously, Gokeygurl, I think it's better off for you to take your songs to a Gokey tour, that is, IF HE HAS A TOUR THIS SUMMER HAHAH

Anonymous said...

GGirl, did you not read the parts that said no 5 year old belongs at late-night concert? I'd be more worried about what's going on AROUND you than what's happening on stage. Again, a concert is no place for young children. If you truly are an Adam fan, do yourself a favor, hire a babysitter and enjoy the incredible show this man puts on. You'll be beyond thrilled.

Gokeygirl, the concerts are sold out anyway. Try Beiber.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, exactly. There's no way you'll get tickets just like that. They sell like hot buns. Adam is doing some festivals, i think in august or september. you'd have to ckeck - so you could take the kids to a music festival. but a regular concert is not a good place for little kids. it's loud and stuffy, and they'd feel overwhelmed cuz of all the "big" people. and they'd be bored and tired. you're the MOTHER? why do we have to be tellin you all this Ggirl?
ps.no, Adam does not simulate oral sex at his concerts anymore.
pss. Good riddance with your stupid questions.

To Gokeygirl,if you being serious, then the answer is as previous posts. As a mother you shouldn't be considering taking a 5 year old to anyones late night concert, not even Gokeys.
The whole atmosphere is not conducive to someone that age, especially in the mosh pit.
I took my 10 1/2 year old to see Muse over here a few months ago, after a lot of thinking it over, and only because it was seated, and concerts in HK are very different affairs compared to other places. And even he got fed up with the long wait and wanted to go to sleep.

Again, it really depends on your definition of family friendly. I would ask the child what she expected and gauge their reaction for appropriateness. Much of this are based on what values you've instilled in your child. Is the possibility of affection between two people of the same sex discussed as normal in you household?

Anonymous said...

I think a number of people gave good advice regarding Gokeygirl's question. Let's "all" not be to hasty to judge. If you are seriously considering going (and bringing the young) I suggest you view some of his performances from the different venues of his already played tour concerts on YOUTUBE and decide for yourself, instead of getting others opinions (at some concerts he has kissed/pecked/licked Tommy - all in fun - and the audience realizes that he is playing with/for them. Adam, himself, has already said that what he does on the spur of the moment at a show depends largely on his audience, however, he has learned from the AMAs. As well, everyone's version of family friendly is different just like screening a movie = what's considered PG-13 for some may take on a whole other meaning for others. Only you can make that decision and live with it. Personally, I feel that talking with your child about anything and everything is the best way to set example especially since they will get exposure whether you want them to or not. Open communciation is always a sure bet.
Five years old seems rather young but then I have no idea what your circumstances are so I, for one, will not sit in judgement. Adam is definitely worth the investment (in my opinion). If you have someone your own age to go with, I think you would experience the full enjoyment and freedom on a greater level. I wish he was coming to my area or remotely close to eastern Canada. Good luck with your decision and enjoy!

Hi fellow fans,
I wonder why the hell they were saving this so good interview until now! Would they have any doubt about Glam Nation Tour being such a successful deal???

to GokeyGirl,
Baby, Danny Gokey also had my ovation when in AI-8th; he seems to be a nice talented guy his own way, but then I never heard about him any more (hope he is doing well and so does Adam). I think you got on this site very good answers and advices from my fellows Adam's fans. Now, I think you better live or we call BIG MAMMA & BIG PAPA to give you a shot of a good bye «Panther Piss». HA!

Our sweet Adam can do whatever he wants ON or OFF stage and we all will just love it, I'm so sure! The very «family friendly» rate has been quite changed since our golden boy took off his talents to this whole crasy world. Am I wrong?

GokeyGirl

First let me say that I think it's entirely possible to be a Gokey fan and an Adam fan and if you are both, welcome to this site.
However, in regard to your five year old attending Adam's concert, I have several concerns. I work with children as a profession and while I love and admire Adam, I do not think some of what he does on stage is appropriate for young children. While many of his songs are totally appropriate and full of the joy and heartbreak of life, others are much more directly sexual. While the tour is not like the AMA's, he has told us he is a sexual being and his performances are sexy. While much of the sexual references may go right over your child's head, some may not and at five, your child is probably not equipped to filter what he sees and hears. Sexual references and behavior can be confusing for very young children. Also, just imagine your child singing For Your Entertainment at daycare!!!
Seriously, I commend you for checking before you take your child to any (not just Adam's) concert. Of course, you as the parent, have to make the final decision.
If I were you, I would find a great babysitter, come to Adam's concert without your child and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. As an adult, you will be able to relax and enjoy the sexual fun and teasing that is Adam and you will realize he is about so much more than just sex. He is an amazing performer and man. I hope he will bring you the joy that he has brought me.

Yes GokeyGirl - you've gotten some great advice here, hope these fans/commenters haven't wasted their time. I saw about 9 or 10 under age 10 kids at the Foxwoods concert Thursday night and I was close and observed what I think was probably a 5 or 6 year old - it was a long wait for her, the music was very loud (yay for the adults, but for the little girl, not so much) she was very squirmy for her parents (and all those around her) and I think she probably greatly diminished her parent's enjoyment of the concert, which was phenominal. This family did have a son with them as well - I would say he was more like 11 - and he seemed to have a great time!! Hopefully by now, at 11ish, he's been exposed to the normalcy and lovliness of affection between same sex partners. This show is sensual, as it should be IMHO, but when talking about a FIVE YEAR OLD, that's not really the central concern now is it?? I don't know how you're getting access to tix at this late date - but if you do have that opportunity - GO TO THE CONCERT with another adult, and be blown away by the incredible gift this singer is offering us!

Gokey Girl,
I would wait until 16 or 17 at least to take my daughter to this type of concert. Really any concert that is in the late evening like this is intended for a mature audience. You and your hubby should definately go though. You will be blown away. He is great.

about taking the 5 year old to the concert...

have you guys been reading what people have been saying about the tour?! theres been kids from age 8 to age 80 there. adam has fans from all ages going to this concerts!!!!

Anonymous said...

To Gokey Girl---If you're able to actually get tickets (be willing to pay megabucks to Stubhub as concerts have been selling out quickly), I just hope you're not anywhere near me with your 5 year old. Good Lord, please leave your kid at home. Take your hubby or a friend to any concert. Take your little one to a G movie. After all the comments here, I hope you are finally getting the idea that very young kids don't belong at any concert.

But I think you were just trying to be ugly with your question. Why would you come to an Adam fan site and ask if performance is family friendly for a 5 year old? Did you look at the tons of videos on this site? It's all out there. There are videos all over the web of almost every performance at every location. If this was a sincere question on your part, you could have made your own judgement.

Sounds like MassGlamFan has offered some very practical and from personal experience( and observation) advice re very young children and the concerts. I remember how miserable Suri Cruise looked at the Season 8 finale when the noise level was so high during the cheering and thunderous applause that was happening in the venue. It also seems that there might be a few venues that might work for a 5 year old: the concert after the baseball game in Florida, perhaps the State Fair venue-type things but in general don't imagine it would be too much fun for this little person to have to sit still in a seat for hours, or worse, stand for hours and then not be able to see anything (same problem goes for me...being short and all :-) ) And the good suggestions to mom to watch the videos to see if that show fits into their family's idea of "family friendly", as that can mean different things to different people. No one wants to spend a lot of money on tickets, only to have to leave early due to a squirmy, tired child or the realization that maybe it was just not what they expected. Just smart parenting to know your child and to be aware of what the show is all about. Even theater venues for musicals and plays often suggest age guidelines for the different shows which will allow everyone the best experience possible. I do think it really depends on the family and the individual (older) child or teen to determine who should go and who should stay home.

Great advice from fellow glamberts! I won't be giving out any advice as I don't have any children lol. I'm still under 20.

If this was a sincere query from Gokey Girl and you enjoy Adam, great! He's the experience of a lifetime and a loving, talented great guy.The more you see and hear him, you realize there's a lot more to him than that one AMA performance. I think with more exposure people are appreciating who he really is, a smart phenomenally talented man. No one should ever feel intimidated, just asking a question. Just because you like Danny doesn't mean you can't also like Adam. Many above and Glitzylady answered her question with sound advice without jumping to conclusions. Many young mothers should ask questions if in doubt. I agree a 5yr. old is too young for all of the reasons above. I don't want to turn anyone away that would like to get to know Adam and become a fan. To know him is to love him and I can like other artists, but now there is no one that comes close to Adam. I try to keep an open mind and hope Gokey Girl will see Adam and take her daughter to see him when she's older. funnbunn40

In my experience, most 5 yr. olds have to go to the bathroom at the most inconvenient time. You'll miss most of the show!
ps.I don't think your comment is real either, but you can see how nice the people are here, giving you the benefit of the doubt.

I got off of the subject of the Finnigan interview and I really liked it. I'm from Chicago originally and wonder why he didn't get a tour date there unless all venues are booked way in advance. Loved hearing that Adam is aware of how dedicated his fans are. If I could go from venue to venue I would. Yay to those that do!! Thanks for posting these interviews, 24/7. It allows potential fans to also see the real, engaging Adam and waych the interviewer become charmed by his open, friendly personality. fonbunn40

With every interview I see of Adam, I am just so impressed with how articulate, personable, and friendly he is. He may have heard the same questions hundreds of times, but he still is willing to answer them in an open, honest manner and not in some stupid, mumbling way as we see with many of these younger performers. This was a good interview.
