I've never understood how it isn't against the law to point a camera at people and continue to shoot pics of them esp. when they are asked to stop? THAT is harassment especially when these scums are making money off the pics. I don't care if it's public property..NO one should be allowed to take pics of anyone abusively and repeatedly so they can earn money!!!

When will our country decide that this is not the kind of behavior we want to reward? Photographers should have to have a legally signed document from any person in public period before they take pics or it's a violation of private space. Celebrities are still people the last time I checked. Saying it's ok to just take photo's of them to make money off of that is just not right.

If it's just 1,000 dollars, then it's nothing to sweat about. I was afraid that he'll be jailed for a week or something. I wouldn't want that on his resume. :(

Can you lay charges against someone just trying to grab the camera without force as I see from here? If Adam really get charge I think there is going to be a hell lot of embarressment to the police force in Miami and then the America justice system. And finally the whole world will be amazed at what really happen? Maybe its time for a rally against those paps.

It really is sad - stars have to flee around the world to protect themselves and families, arrange their weddings in hiding so that some level of sacredness can be achieved, disguise and hide their children so they can leave the guarded walls of their homes, put their heads down and rush headlong to their cars like they have done something to be ashamed of when they just picked up a prescription at Walgreens, gather an entourage of protectors so they can leave a restaurant after taking their mother's to lunch, daily read lies and contrived sensationlism about them in print and online and have to discuss it endlessly as more important than the creative work they do. And when they take a stand, in court or begging for privacy in an arranged interview or clearing a small space on a beach for a couple hours of sun, they are fined, arrested, ridiculed and harrassed. Really - there is not enough money in the world to compensate someone for that kind of treatment.

I hope Adam doesn't become the "next" Britney. I thought Adam was going to be more of the "Christina" route in which she just ignores the paparazzi but after yesterday's fiasco, I'm not so sure anymore.

When you're a celebrity, you don't go attacking paps. It's the most "dumb" and "ridiculous" thing to do. When you attack them, you are playing right into their hands.

Er -- as much as I love Adam I have to support the First Amendament.Any laws that would limit access or require permission in a public place would have US const. problems. This was a public beach so I don't think there is an expectation of privacy. That said, BB should GTFO of Florida right about now.

I came here since AO poofed the discussion threads about this incident. It is very unfortunate that this happened. I am hoping if the pap does press charges, that Adam files harassment charges against him, Victor Eras. TMZ has never been a reliable source - they hyperbolize things to the point of almost being a total fabrication. I like to read things on 24/7 rather than junk gossip sites. This way they do not get any money for hits on their sleazy sites. I googled Miami newspaper for the facts - police are not pressing charges.

Adam was trying to get the camera away from the guy. He was not trying to hurt him. I am against violence but I applaud Adam for his actions. We still don't know what the "scumbag" said to Adam to infuriate him. I wish I was in Florida tonight so I could buy my Panama hat and wear it proudly.

I don't see how anyone could take the pap's side in this. The guy was shooting photos for a whole hour before the incident - plenty of time for him to get enough shots of Adam to earn his filthy money. I'm curious, but I don't think I really want to know what this guy did or said to make sweet Adam furious, because it must have been really vile. It's highly possible that the pap did or said something nasty concerning Neil or Tommy or another glamily member - I can totally see Adam leaping to defend one of his peeps, more so than reacting to verbal excrement spewed directly at him.

Adam's hardly the first entertainer to have run-ins with the scum-sucking paps, and he won't be the last. I remember my parents telling me about how Frank Sinatra used to fight with paps, and actually physically injured a few. Didn't seem to hurt ol' Frank's career.

Celebrity news sells, but the extent to which paps go to provoke the famous and trash their private lives goes extremely beyond what's decent. In a way, it's our fault because we encourage them by buying the gossip rags and the trashy TMZ-type shows. If no one was watching, it wouldn't be profitable to hound and harass Adam and other entertainers.

I think we all agree we love Adam and are most concerned for his safety. Really for me that is all it comes down too. We are up in arms that people who do not know him or follow him would be so unkind. Like Adam said his only crime was his Embarresment; I know I have done or said a few things in the heat of the moment. That is when you have your light bulb moments in life. THANK GOODNESS no one got hurt. He was clearly set up and anyone can see that. That reporter was laughing because he knew he got what he wanted. Like a premeditated crime to a degree. With guys it is hard they just seath when someone just keep it up and won't let go. Adam got angry but quickly came to his senses and I doubt and hope this will pass and lessons are learned. I for one think he should invest in some protection to stand by in the future.
