I think he likes the climate in LA plus his friends and some family there
But who wouldn't want an apartment in Paris as well!

Adam has always claimed to be planning / thinking 20 steps ahead.....so why wouldn't he want to move to Europe? Imagine living someplace where your lifestyle; behaviour; persona is so easily accepted. Who wouldn't want to have that? American does not appreciate him or what he stands for.

I would leave too.

(Not a diss to you Americans that love Adam...just the general population that doesn't.)

Anonymous said...

Sigh! Once Adam step in America soil, he has to face all the reality, good and bad. I think he would love to breathe easier in Europe without anyone telling him what to do.

Anonymous said...

So they don't have a single homophobe is Europe? Really? Nada? I find that extremely hard to believe. Yeah, we've got them in the U.S., along with millions of free thinkers. It's a very big country. Stop painting us all with the same brush. Adam certainly doesn't, and I don't think he's unhappy here either.

Anonymous said...

I have heard Adam more than once saying that he loves the live-and-let-live air in some countries in europe... thats a fact not any "europe is better than america" type of power fight

I also dont think it is a matter of painting some place or another with a single brush...not al all... people have different points of view everywhere, historically, but also every "people" (as in nation) has a MAINSTREAM dominant way of thinking and America unfortunately, still have some steps to walk to a less hipocritical behaviour. Lets get dont ask dont tell rule down first then ... who knows...

anyways, i truly believe there is such a good chage vibe in the air in america.. you have a black presidente and a gay singer is becominh mainstream.. those are already huge steps arnt they?

There is hidden racism in many of the European countries, especially in the rich elite countries, that are supposed to be open minded. Well, they are not.

Anonymous said...

I truly believe what you said 5:51 PM. America is more outspoken maybe which is a great thing actually...

Anonymous said...

@anon 5:51pm Racism and homophobia are different things. I don't believe it can't be equal. However, does anybody know that US canceled a lot of contracts with Queen when they found that Freddie is gay? I never heard that any Europian countries (except Russia) had any problem with Freddie sexuality. Don't you see that they are continue to repeat in a lot of articles "openly gay, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert got Grammy's nod"?! What does this mean? If Adam would make a decision to move to UK, New Zealand, or Canada, it wouln't suprise me. However, he never will move anywere! I am absolutly positive about it. Finaly Adam got recognition of his talent and popularity by US Music Industry. After all the sky is limit for Adam!
Love you, Adam<3

I don't think Adam will ever give up his US citizenship. He was happy with his friends in LA and no gay problems at Zodiac Club and where he hung out. Adam has fans all over the US that are free thinkers. The ones that aren;t just make more noise. It still is a wonderful country that has done much for other countries supporting freedom.Adam is working on an album and will be collaborating with other musicians who may very well be in Europe. Maybe he will rent a short term apt. while meeting with people. Neil said they were no longer in Paris, but London. He's used to the sunshine and warm weather in LA, I don't think he would permanently give that up and leave family and friends.I can see him enjoying the culture and history of far away places. He should experience it all. Freddie Mercury has also been dead for a long time. Time goes on. We are a young country compared to Europe and are still growing. We supported Europe and fought for Europe's freedom during World War 2, sacrificing many American lives and financially helped to rebuild, so I don't think we're all that bad. There's room for improvement in every country and everyones not all alike Most people are proud of their own country and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. funbunn40

OMG I hope Adam never leaves US permanently. It makes me very sad to even think about that possibility.

I think Adam will go to Europe for inspiration to write his second album. Don't think he can bear leaving all his friends and family in a long run. One of the reason the grammy nomination may be the US music industry want him to stay. Do you really think his nomination has nothing to do with the phenomenal success of GNC? People lining up for him in extreme conditions to see him which haven't been seen in years and it happen everywhere around the world. Now it is up to him where he want to build his empire. Imagine with his powerful voice, his beautiful look, his stage presence and his fearless, that's means $$. Just saying.

Adam messed up part of the GN by singing too many acoustic songs just to please his fans in the US. Soaked should have been the only song that he sings acoustically. Aftermath and WWFM were ruined.

Anonymous said...

Anon 8:26 Source please on the claim of cancellation of Queen contracts. MTV banned on of their vids, but then later put it on air. All their other vids were played, and radio stations played all their hits. Even school choirs sang their songs. They were huge in the U.S.A.

As for Adam being referred to by the media as the opening gay Idol finalist, that is because of the RollingStone article, plus the fact that Adam chooses to constantly call attention to the fact on stage and in interviews. That's fine, but then complaints need not be voiced. He must want it that way, or he would just sing and discuss his craft. Can't have it both ways.

And, of course, I am bracing for the attacks and accusations, having voiced my opinion and observations. So have at it.

Hey Guys..Adam is Never going to leave the USA like... Forever!.....Adam just wants a place in Europe to pop back and forth....he enjoys Europe..why can't he have a holiday home there...Adam's Mum sent that beautiful letter saying how much she LOVES PARIS...makes perfect sense....

I thought he wanted to have a place in London. I can't blame him for that. If I could afford a place in London, I'd become an ex-pat 6 months of every year. I love London!!! As Samuel Johnson once said, "When a man is tired of London, he's tired of life."And the great thing is, you don't have to learn a new language.

Anonymous said...

i also heard him comment more than once that he doesnt feel comfortable with being always introduced like the openly gale whatever... i have been working with texts from all over the world about adam, and despite one or 2, all of the written in the US mentions that....

adam is not stupid to go against the media fiercely - he does it very politely - and also is capitalizing on the publicity about it... but he definitely is not keen on every article coming back to that old opening phrase...

As for myself I found it useless and descriminating from day one.

He was tottaly into London before he had got to Paris. Now he seems to have falling in love with Paris.

I also dont think he would move definitely out of the US. But he will start spending more and more time in Europe, believe me, they are socially more open minded and that is what Adam is. Olus: if they offer better deals and/or treat him better... anyone has any doubts???

Anonymous said...

He must have had fun at the Crazy Horse..

Anonymous said...

omg Some of you people are really crAzy with the conspiracy theories! He took a pic with an American Real Estate agent who probably just happened to be in Paris. Does not mean he is looking for a place to live. lol :)

Anonymous said...

All over Europe and Asia and New Zealand and Australia he was still referred to as AI runner up, or openly gay artist, just like in America. Now hopefully it should only be 2011 Grammy Nominated Artist.

Anonymous said...

Adam has life outside the US now with fans who adore him without any homophobic hangups. He can be accepted and live life to it's fullest without all the nonacceptance the US have given him. Heck, the International tour out did the US GN hands down because Adam was free from that conservative crap. He was on fire. It's so time they accept him otherwise they will loose him one day!

Anonymous said...

6:24 NOT SO, in my country NO ONE cared a hoot about the AI reference. Only the US have problems with that.Everyone else has moved on and as to the AMAs,not an issue in the first place internationally. As to being 'gay' who the hell cared, that wasn't an issue either, again another US problem. Do not label other countries with the same conservative old fashioned out of date outlook as the US, as it's simply not true! Overseas, Adam is out the box totally and loving it! It's so refreshing to see Adam acccepted and loved at last and he is so darn happy. It's the US that need to wise up!

Anonymous said...

Do you think Mr Lambert is going to be confined to a little American box? Don't think so.

Anonymous said...

Adam is probably enjoying the fact they he can have some privacy and enjoy a beautiful city at the same time. Shop, go to clubs and soak up the open atmosphere. Don't blame him at all. He's probably really happy.

Anonymous said...

Adam does not have to give up his Citizenship to live overseas.Of course LA is his hub but so will many other beautiful cities be soon. LA is like a different place in the US anyway and my home. There it is trendy and accepting but move outside California and it changes.I do love LA! But then I love London, Paris and Sydney too!
@5:56 As to 'America being more outspoken'you can forget that one! Not so!
