Great interview with Ryan. He knows Adam so well, and asks good questions. The Aftermath Remix is a "sure fire winner." Adam always has an excellent feel for what is the right thing to do - and at the right time.

Love, love, love it. So happy you can still hear the purity of his voice, it is truly the best of both worlds.
From what I understand, eventually here in New Zealand we will be able ot buy this as a single on itunes. Still wondering if when I go to Australia next week the actually disc of Sleepwalker will be available, would like to buy it to support Adam though I have it on other stuff about 100 times.
Jadam.

I so f**king love this remix. Can't stop listening to it! Love the beats and hooks! Let's make it go viral on U.S. radios fans. Please request it on your local radio stations.

24/7, you're still missing the end of the interview, where he talks about Idol, Steven Tyler and James Durbin (it's on Ryan Seacrest.com). His comments about Durbin were interesting -- won't be seeing Adam doing Iron Maiden anytime soon. Ha!

Love this remix cause it is not overproduced. His vocals are amazing. My teenage daughter just came home from school and really loved it. We both love the other 2 versions of Aftermath, so were pleasantly surprised with how great this remix is. I already requested and will do so again each day online.

i like it!! Yayyyy, Adam!!

Now if we can just get the radio stations to play it. It is like automatic play when GAGA, Katy, Taylor, Usher or Justin put out anything that resembles music. Adam's fans really need to support this because it is great music and for a great cause. So let's get on it!!

This song doesn't fit as radio station song. It is over 5 min long. But as far as it sounds like Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, etc songs they probbably will play it a lot if Adam will agree to cut the remix!! VERY COMMERCIAL! This is not Adam at all. Hopefully, somebody will be brave and honest enough to tell Adam about it. Don't like this remix. It is terrible

Thank God for you,,,I was almost too chicken to comment. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's a mess, to me it really ruins the song. I didn't
like the song on the original album...too noisy...didn't like it till heard acoustic, and now this!

Adam it's POP in it's worst style. They spent time and money on this that could have gone to release so many others.

Take off his beautiful voice and just release the beat to dance to..........I'm risking a beating but I'll sign in...............JAK

I wouldn't call this "terrible", but I am not a big fan of the techno-electronic babble between the verses and at the end of the song. Very annoying. It is nice to hear something trendy that doesn't need the voice auto-tuned (ala Katy, Brittney, any rapper you want to name). The beat is good, a toe-tapper. I guess I am just to old school to really appreciate this kind of stuff. Give me a band, a mic with an excellent singer, and no computers changing the sound any day! Maybe the radio version will cut down on the filler, cuz 5+ min is way too long for airplay.

Regardless of my opinion of this version, I hope like crazy that this generates tons of donations for the Trevor Project. One more day to see Adam on Idol! WOOHOO!!!

I agree with everything you say....I hope the money pours in.....I'd be willing to pay NOT to hear it.........KW

I think this version is for younger generation, those like dancing crazy in clubs and is particular for young teens to hear it. I do like his front and center vocal in this version, the dance bit is nice, the lyrics are very clear. Only felt a bit annoy when no Adam singing and the end "sound" is interesting, feel like kind of electro pop malfunction to me, Ha!Ha!. Well, I will buy it for the charity.

I don't generally like remixes, but I like this especially the first half. Agree with the odd end note though. It does have a great beat and love that is vocals are still the main focus of the song. I think this is perfect for the younger generation, the teens and youths, the people that the Trevor Project is trying to help, it gets the message across in a style of music that they like and will listen to.

The more you listen to it, the more it grows on you! I love anything Adam sings and you definitely can still hear his vocals well. Plus, I personally like the dance beat very much. Makes me want to move! When I heard Aftermath on his Acoustic Live EP, though, I was blown away because of his amazing vocals. This remix, obviously, is completely different. We know Adam likes changing things up all the time. It was really creative to change it this way and it sounds like all the other "pop" stuff on the radio except Adam's song has a very powerful message. So I hope it raises money for the Trevor project 'cause that's Adam's intention.

Well, I won't get up (right away) and dance to this remix, but I could definitely get drunk on it... and from that point forward I could dance even to a national anthem... so it's all good, I guess.
Really, this kind of beat is like an anesthetic for my brain... A capital crime, I know, but I have a mitigating circumstance: I suffer from a condition involving a (recurrent) hypofunction of the glam cells... system... Or something... The diagnosis is still debated. :-)

PS: For my non-US friends (those two people!)... You can watch AI10 right now (and The Glitter Man Jr. himself tomorrow) on this link: http://www.joesplaceblog.com/live-east-coast-feed/ ( or http://www.directon.tv/channels/3168/). You can also use an online time convertor to find out your local airing time. It's started already. Thank God! I had enough of the ‘Charlie Sheen news’.

I think this song reaches to a different audience and this is good- AL needs to get himself more exposure to different people and this is fine. i love the way he mixes it up!

some 'fans' are never happy, comments like 'not Adam at all', etc. etc. He can't please everyone with each song, this all helps build and expand a diverse fanbase so I am all in favor of it. Plus it is a good dance and workout song.

Anonymous said...

well I'm sorry but I don't like it either. The beat is good but the vocals have been slowed down considerably and honestly he sounds drunk in parts LOL
This song is supposed to be positive and uplifting but because the vocals are so slow it sounds a bit depressing to me. But that's jmho. To those who like it, enjoy :)
Am looking forward to tomorrow's performance though :)

I have never been into remixes and I am of the older generation but I LOVE this. He is such a talented guy to be able to sing the same song in 3 completely different ways and I love them all. A lot of websites I have looked at today absolutely love this song so perhaps the fan base that follows this site is a little old school and everybody is allowed their opinion

Anonymous said...

I loved Adam's voice and also the beat but not the two together in this way. To me, this song is emotional and serious and isn't suitable for a dance-beat background. I found it kind of weird, the combination didn't really gel for me.

Anonymous said...

I'm glad to hear his heart is full! When do we see pics of Sauli arriving??

Anonymous said...

I hope Adam picks up some younger fans soon.

Anonymous said...

I love Adam, love his voice. First song of his ever that I do not care for. Of course I'll buy it and request it. I love the acoustic version. But I know he has to do this for the younger fans.

I LOVE the remix....

IMo, this comes across as an unnatural mix of a soulful message grafted onto a common trance-dance beat. Not unpleasant, just, well, not overwhelming because the remix narrowed Adam's vocal range. I loved Adam's acoustic version and relished the original version, but this remix doesn't do it for me. I do hope, however, that the remix raises money for such a truly worthy cause as the Trevor Project.

Anonymous said...

I am so loving the remix. It's so uplifting. Can't wait to listen to it at the gym.

Anonymous said...

does anyone know how much the remix is? and is it a download only?

Anonymous said...

I think Adam's beautiful, melodic vocals got a bit neutered in this remix and sound a little flat. I miss the change of register on the word "alone", for example.

However, I love dance/electronica/techno music, so I think this sounds good, overall, and hope lots of ppl will like it, and buy it!! Love the beat and the energy.

I love the remix and I'm of the older generation but I like anything you can dance to. I'm old but not dead esp. when the song moves me and the remix does. I was trying not to appear OT while listening to the song on my way to work. Adam's songs make me happy...just listening to his voice is so uplifting. I probably looked like I was having a seizure while driving on the 405. LOL

I do have to agree with @Adam Fix, that Adam's beautifully nuanced voice is not quite as varied here..but having discovered dance remixes and club music in the last year or so...and realizing it is REALLY fun to dance to, which is the whole point of it, I like it for that reason..I'm sure that's why it is offered as a dance remix (duh..)...otherwise Aftermath, the original and Acoustic, doesn't work as a club song..A great way to get the message out to the people it is most aimed at. And the rest of us, whatever the age, who like to get up and dance!

Anonymous said...

glitzlady, ur brilliant! For the people who are not fans or haven't heard of Adam Lambert, a way to get them to notice is to use a sound that does get their attention or a sound that they prefer, for some reason it's techno. I'm not really into techno myself, but I was very excited to hear Adam's remix for the first time. & although he may not have been there physically to sing it, I'd say he had the final word on the production of the "Aftermath" remix.
Hopefully Adam will gain more fans like us,"FIERCE PROTECTORS OF THE GREAT VOICE"!MWAH!!K

Anonymous said...

I like most the acustic version of Aftermath. It's so beautiful! I like some parts of this Aftermath Remix but I think it's not so good as it could be. It's varying.

I love to hear that Adam is happy and his heart is full!

A word that has come up with my daughter's social studies lessons on Greece, "legion" a large mass of soldiers. I can see us , Glamberts, as a Legion, a great one at that!
I feel the way I do about Adam Lambert, because he is absolutely genuine in all ways. It is his gifted voice that we must protect, because he is one of a kind. People may not get Adam, but when they open their hearts & hear what we hear(the giftwrapping is the Glambert bonus), I feel in my heart there will be peace & love on earth.

Well... was a bit lost at first, but listened a few times, and after reading the comments... BINGO... props 2 of my faves...

@ Adam Fix, & Glitzylady, you nailed it... perfectly.

This is intended for the Trevor Project..an anthem to support, uplift and empower teens and young adults searching, and questioning. What better way than to put it into an energizing DANCE theme that can be blasted in a club...or privately in a teen's bedroom... (or on ear buds) get up, move, DANCE... express... WITH a meaningful lyric...and REACH the audience it is intended for, and to support. In that case it's brilliant. (reading this again, jeez--how could I ever have questioned?)

As someone above mentioned driving... YEAH!!probably great...
anon @ 9:30-- the GYM!! Excellent!

I DO hope this gets major attention and support, raises Lot$ for the Trevor Project, AND gets PLAYED ON THE RADIO!!! This IS released to radio, then lets request it like crazy & blast thru the roof!

This is not my first choice to listen to. I DO like the harder edge of the original, and LOVE the acoustic version and wrote on another thread how moved I was to hear it LIVE on tour... THAT and the acoustic cd version will always be the most special to me.

I can't even WAIT to see/hear the magic spell Adam weaves on Idol tonight!! I hope he captivates the whole nation and I DO believe the acoustic is the BEST version to do on live tv.
For those still buried in the sands of doubt, his beautiful vocals will ring rich, clear, and unmasked with just the accompaniment of Monte's guitar, and his heartfelt meaningful lyric.
OMG, counting the minutes till showtime!!!

This electro sound remix will reach a larger audience and more of the teens that the trevor project is trying to help. So weather you like this remix or not it will help a great cause and get Adam even more fans. I personally am not a big fan of remixes but I like this because Adam's vocals are still front and center. I will alway support Adam in all he does. He is a genius and the most talented and beautiful person.

Thank God Metal isn't on Adam's agenda!

This Aftermath Remix is growing on me fast and would be perfect for it's target market. That Billboard guy knows exactly what he's doing and did an excellent job. As a disco kid in the 80's LOL, i really like the beat. I can even imagine myself dancing swing to this remix \o/.

Nothing beats the acoustic version but this one is also a winner for me and i'm very very happy with this one too :)

Ooooops loved the interview as well!

Agree with Glitzylady, Cindy, and Bing.

I think it's the first remix I've ever heard that has brought happy tears....and I didn't expect that!

Plus, I LOVE this interview, how SWEET Ryan was about Adam (the way he emphasized Grammy NOMINEE!) and to Adam. Ryan asking Adam about his heart and obviously being glad for Adam that his heart is full....how cool is that?! Anyone who thought Ryan didn't like Adam should listen to this!

And my favorite part of all: Adam saying his heart is full and sounding soooo happy.

:)

Is it just me or was Ryan really awkward to listen to? He made me feel uncomfortable for some reason.

well... I LOVED THE REMIX!
It was awesome, the weird sound at the end was so cool!
GOSH.. I LOVE ADAM!:)
And the interview was cool.

and adam's heart was full!! aaaaww

Adam - the original version of Aftermath is far superior than this remix. You have amazing vocals and this version does it little justice. Also, the original version allows one to feel the lyrics with you. I am being honest with you because I care - don't hide your voice !!!

Anonymous said...

one thing I love about this remix is that Adam's voice ISN'T HIDDEN, like with so many remixes (which is sort of the point with remixes, to some degreee, so I'm not bashing on remixes as a genre either, it serves a purpose, and a great one at that). It was a masterful result to get a remix vibe with Lambert's vocals still being out front... and as that awful you-know-who would say "WINNING" :)

Love most of the positive comments but glitzy lady you hit it on the nose. This is made for the younger generation for sure. It brings back in my mind when I went dancing alot in clubs and how it made me feel on top of the world. This song makes you want to dance but yet it sends a great message sorta a sublimal message so to speak. I hope it sinks it to the skulls of many on both ends of the message. Adam you can do anything! So proud of you and what you stand for. These re-mixes are just that re-mixes they are not made to be on CD's
