Boston Herald Gives 'Glam Nation Live' an A

From Boston Herald:

"If you like Adam Lambert, prepare to love “Glam Nation Live.” If you’re not a Glambert fan, prepare to (possibly) be converted. The “American Idol” runner-up clearly excels at live performance, and this collects the best live renditions of songs such as “Voodoo,” “If I Had You” and “Whataya Want From Me,” capturing Lambert’s personality and flair for theatrics in a way that studio recordings cannot. His dark and yet somehow triumphant sound -— sort of a dancefloor diva’s interpretation of the Cure — is expertly re-created, while Lambert’s breathtaking vocal exploits (“Ring of Fire,” anyone?) leave no doubt about who should have nabbed the “Idol” crown."

Great review! Thanks so much for posting. Now THIS is what I want to read about, not PH's third-hand account of some incident at a private party.

Yes! The good word is spreading far and wide! This is what needs to be shouted from the rooftops! This guy is the best entertainer and vocalist out there.

WOW!!! When I first saw this picture I thought it was making a reference to Adam's resemblance to Elvis because I thought the picture WAS ELVIS!! I would love to see a side by side of this pic of Adam and Elvis. It is just really amazing how much Adam looks like him! CRAZY! Anyway, this article is great and the truth! Adam needs some good press right now! Ugh! So much negative crap circulating today! Hope it blows over soon. He is simply amazing!

He looks more like Elvis here than any other picture I have seen. Good to see positive news. Way to go Boston Herald. His gnl dvd is truly amazing. Every time I watch it ,I think, how can anyone have such a beautiful voice that can sing rock, pop and ballads!!! Hope this can cancel out the negativity coming from PH rude mouth.

We should really look at that pic a bit closer.
I'm not crazy wild about Elvis but enjoyed him as a child, but that pic touched me in a way , like, what if?, & I wanted to cry k

Finally we are moving back to talking about Adam and his music! Great review!

And the resemblance to Elvis is uncanny.

Isn't it amazing how fast and furious bad publicy takes off- these papers wasted no time telling the lies of ass- PH. Wish gaga would clear the mess up about him getting thrown out. Anyway, great review from boston herald I was a MA girl and always read that paper. Boy he sure does look like elvis there.

Thank you for such wonderful review and the indirect comparison to another artist who was controversial in his day and misunderstood by many, and yet is considered an icon today. Here are some more comparisons, if you enjoy the picture above.

One of the reasons for the resemblance is they both dyed their hair black!

Spent 15 minutes interviewing Elvis when he and I were both 20..........when do I get my 15 minutes with Adam?...........JAK....Yea!Boston

@JAK 11:17am

I spent about 15 minutes with Elvis too! Met him when he performed in Vegas (1st time) Me and my ex were crazy Elvis fans and after the show managed to sneak backstage (with the help of one of the waiters) to the dressing room area! The Security Guard caught us and yelled at us...but luck was with us and Elvis heard the commotion and told the guard to let us in! He talked to us for a long time ....well I couldn't talk, I was in awe and totally stage stuck. Elvis kept looking at me and smiling and asked if he could give me a kiss!!! I just nodded my head yes! Thud! He was completely charming and polite (much like our Adam) and very handsome (much like our Adam)...a moment I'll never forget. I'm still waiting for that once in a lifetime moment to meet Adam!

Thanks a bunch! After all the PH shit hitting the fan, I needed to see and hear something positive. Adam is number one in my book also.

If it weren't for the sparkly ear piece (for sound), I would have thought it was Elvis

So good to read this positive review after seeing and hearing all the stuff about Adam being drunk and thrown out of Gaga's party. It seems the entertainment gossip shows are running wild with this story. I have a parallel black and white picture of Adam and Elvis as my wallpaper. Just try typing Elvis and Adam parallel picture into your browser. It was from the Borgata in NJ when Adam appeared there on tour. I found it strictly by accident.

I'm telling you guys the first time I saw it, I thought it was Elvis my gosh!!!!!!! Holy mother of God, stunning, gorgeous young man. I wish Elvis was still alive and see this amazing shot of Adam......

Oh my dear Adam you are one of a kind indeed!!!!

Love it.......

Before I forget congratulations again.....

More power and success .....

I saw an interview with Priscilla Presley recently. She was asked which of today's artists remind her of Elvis. She said Justin Beiber. I couldn't believe it. What was she thinking? The answer is so obviously - Adam Lambert !!

Thank u for such a positve article on Adam. I too saw him on GNT LIVE & he was incredible. I have bought several copies of DVD/CD 2 for me & rest for gifts. The DVD is that GOOD. Adam excels when he performs live like no other. Never lipsynchs like so many. Can't wait for 2nd album. PH just shot himself in the foot.

I feel lucky to have been around to experience 2 legends. However IMO Adam is much better looking.Elvis was very young when I met him, he had a flatter face and a flatter nose and light brown hair with sun streaks. He had sexy heavy lidded eyes and was a shy kind of silly flirt.

If anyones interested check out film of his songs in 54,55,56. After a few years he looked much better and it wasn't Mother Nature's handiwork. When you saw him he was much "prettier".

I was then and am now a great fan ...it's amazing how in so many photos he and Adam have a stunning resemblance........JAK

Elvis was my first star crush, loved him when I was a child, used to watch his films all the time. Sat on the toilet and cried for ages when he died.

As a young 16 year old, Elvis was the man for me. I had all his records, saw all his movies. He changed the music industry.
This picture of Adam took me back to my teen yrs. Adam has already made history in the music industry.
Thank you Boston Herald for the great review. Thank you to the State of Mass., for being being current on equal rights.

Hell yeah - Adam IS A-grade, right JAK? How many grades have you given out over the years? I'd say Adam's an A+ for the extra effort he put into making EVERY single show, night after night, as dynamic and amazing as it could be. What a pro. Loves the man right down to his glittery DNA.

Oh, hello Elvis! What are you doing here? Do you come here often?

deserves. He is a SUPERSTAR and the sooner the US take him to their hearts the better.

So tired of the Elvis stuff ! Indeed flattering but so old hat. ADAM is ADAM and not reincarnated ELVIS.

Loved Elvis
Love Adam even more.

It's just so uncanny with the Adam and Elvis side by side that I have seen. The look is similar but that is where it ends. In no way is Adam Lambert trying to perform/sing like Elvis. Both are very dynamic performers visually and musically. So great to hear the positive reviews of Adam's GNT cd. We as his fans know what a dynamic performer he is. Now it's time for the general public to appreciate the most talented vocalist in the music business today.

For Adam Fix .....Report Card for Adam Lambert

To Whom It May Concern:

Adam is a pleasure to have in my class. He does his homework, is always prepared to speak in front of the class whenever he is called upon. He has a pleasant attitude and is well liked by other students. He is eager to take part in extracurricular activities. He is very fond of music class and joins in our drama productions.

I would suggest you work at home with him on his weekly spelling word list. That is the only area where he is not doing A work.

He is a fine boy.............Mrs JAK

Great review! I have not seen Adam perform live (not in person - watched some youtube vids) so I'm looking forward to the DVD and hopefully some really quality audio!! Even with the not-so-great audio on fan vids he appears to be AWESOME when he performs live! SO much charisma and stage presence and energy - not to mention those incredible - impossible - vocals.

I remember the first time I ever saw or heard of Elvis. It was on tv in 1956 on Ed Sullivan's "Toast of the Town." He still had light hair and the flatter nose. My girlriend called me to watch, as she was nuts over him. I wasn't that impressed at the time, but when I saw him in the black leather later and became more familiar with his music, I became as crazy about him as everyone else. He and Adam have that same sensuous magnetism and little boy, endearing quality, as well as the sexual smolder. The lip curl and black hair is alike. Adam is classically more handsome and has a well trained superior, more versatile voice, but both are icons and individuals in their own right. They are humble and loved by fans of all ages, genders and races. Both are bigger than life and rocked our world. Many similiarities, but unique different. funbunn40

@ CT, You saw him in his prime. What luck and how great that he gave you that one on one time! He was always so good to his fans, even giving them Cadillacs! I missed him by one week in Vegas. He certainly had sex appeal and could sing. funbunn40
