Hate this picture! Negative impression!

I think this is photoshop. I don't think Adam would agree to publish this picture on Life magazine

it looks like the picture from Gridlock New Years Eve 2009, cant say its my fav pic either

I prefer the big smile! Wonder how the pictures are chosen?

The lighting is really harsh...you can see his "stage make-up" in a little too much detail - and it's not meant for up close and personal viewing! And I spot some "ginger roots" along his hairline. :) But Adam - you're beautiful, no matter what...look at the electricity in those eyes!

Whoa, it's beautiful! This is the theatrical, made-up look, maybe the hint of moustache may not sychronise so well with the heavy beautiful eye makeup. Whoa, the nose, eyes, mouth and swept-back hair...the expression is so genuine.

Hey LP, we do get the same impression; no wonder we completed the weird shark story so nicely together. Nothing wrong with not liking it though; you can show the same picture and get back a whole barrage of different responses. It's all in the mind like they always say.

The photo of "Tarzan Adam" or whatever we want to call it, IS DEFINITELY photoshopped, just so you know...(Adam's head, the rest, alas, someone else)..as I did mention when I posted it on the" Adam in Europe" thread, which is the previous one to this, in my 12:24 PM comment where I originally posted this link. I saw it on Twitter and since we were discussing "Hair, the Musical", and the fact that Adam was starkers in that, and there are apparently no public pictures of that particular scene, or of any others that I am aware, it seemed the perfect time and place to post that composite picture..Whoever photoshopped it, did a REALLY good job, in my opinion! I do have a feeling he would look pretty similar to whoever the actual body belongs to, only Adam is a bit lighter and freckled, presumably from head to toe.....and the chain would definitely have to be bigger and thicker in a certain area, for the sake of, er, modesty... ; )

I hope seeing that picture was not too much for you..I should have posted a bigger warning...As in "OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK". So can you imagine if that was actually ALL Adam? We would all die happy smiling deaths...Probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing him in this kind of "outfit", if you can call it that! LOL!!!!!

Interesting how differently we perceive things. My first reaction to this picture is WOW, how genuinely kind this man is. And how focused he is on the person he is listening to. You cannot fake that expression. Love the picture!

I have to agree with some here: I am not a big fan of this particular picture of Adam at the top of the thread, from Life Magazine online. I saw it earlier today. It is from a Life Magazine online article entitled "Unlikely Heartbreakers" or something like that. I think they've got it all wrong: I don't think the concept of Adam being an "Unlikely" one makes sense at all. He is gorgeous and sweet and IS a real authentic "heartbreaker" for sure! But of all the pictures they could have chosen, this one isn't it...I don't think its as flattering as it could be, but that's just my opinion. Bad lighting, etc...There are many other pictures from that event that are much better..But as some have said here, he is wearing theatrical make-up for this New Years Eve performance Dec. 31, 2009, so he probably put a little extra on so that people could see his features..Just not a good close-up for some reason. But we all agree, he is always pretty damn gorgeous, its just a matter of "degree": Hot, hotter, hottest! ; ) Oh, and Smokin' Hot !

Well duh!...to me. I certainly was off on the title of the article when I talked about it in my post @1:21 AM..I said it was "heartbreakers" when it is in fact "hearthrobs" although I do believe Adam qualifies as both..

Hey Tatiana, your first impression was WOW! Mine was WHOA! Lol.
I respect Gridlock for inviting Adam to perform at last minute notice, when he was cancelled for his scheduled 2009 New Year's Eve performance and there is a video that says Gridlock on fire, referring to Adam's concert. And maybe that's why the sincere, slightly pensive half-smile of Adam in this magnificent photo because the AMA was still fresh in his mind.

Lane is to the left of Adam. I really don't know what people expect of Adam because this is a great picture. Of course the makeup is full on, remember it's all 'smoke and mirrors' people.

Like it, don't like it...too harsh...too much makeup...gorgeous....look at those eyes...photoshopped,...too this, too that....I am just amazed whenever I come on to this blog at how many responses(both positive and negative) one picture, one item, one sentence can elicit. I can't get enough of it and Adam Lambert. I am drawn to this blog several times a day and some times comment myself, but just can't get over how much this man affects people in their daily lives. Many of us have never met him or been to a concert and yet we feel as if we know practically everything about him because he just lets us into his life and tells us everything. I have been a fan since Adam sang his first note on AI and will continue to follow his career anticipating the release of his second album. Keep these comments coming so I can get my Adam"fix" for the day and move on with the reality of everyday life. It's all good with the sun shining, cooler temps here in NJ and looking forward to the July 4th holiday celebration with friends at a bar-b-cue. Enjoy!!

Just some thoughts in response to @8:37 AM, and in general. In my opinion, nobody is being "ugly" here...and no one is "passing judgment" either: such harsh terms ..Adam is beautiful always, inside and out.., and yes, hot and wonderful..And immensely talented. And I think someone said the worst picture of Adam is better than the best picture of almost anyone else, and I would definitely agree! But everyone perhaps has their favorite Adam pictures/looks and are absolutely entitled to express and discuss that here..Its conversation. For instance, just as an example, I personally said above that this isn't my personal favorite picture of Adam..my opinion only. Many love it, some just not quite as much..Just a matter of degree of "love", as in love it a little or love it a lot, its all relative.

These comments here in this blog, on this thread, are not "ugly' by any definition of "Ugly", because I've seen "Ugly": Ugly is when you go to AOL -type blogs, for instance, and the comments are often homophobic and nasty and mean and sometimes vicious and occasionally downright scary..That's ugly...they are the ones Adam talks about in his "It Gets Better" video. And no one is truly passing judgement..just commenting on this particular picture...Everyone here loves and respects Adam for who he is, and would never say anything to hurt him.. A few come here to do just that, but thankfully that is rare.. I'm sure Adam sees pictures of himself that he prefers over others..Don't we all! (I'm personally really thankful for the delete function on digital cameras..what a great invention) His kind soul always shines through in every picture for sure, as it does here. And the reasons for his heavy make-up (Gridlock) were addressed by some here...stage make-up, which in this case is designed for a nighttime outdoor show, and is not always the best for close-ups.. I think that is all any are saying.

Thank you so much! Isn't it fun to read all of the new and old stories, articles, etc.. about Adam! Right now we are all waiting with such great and accelerating anticipation for his new music, his new single, his new album, and it's great to re-visit some of the past and present moments in his journey. I am so excited to see what comes next for Adam, and for us fans as well. As I have often stated, along with so many others, that I have never ever in my life followed an artist so closely and felt this urgent need to be one of his many supporters. He is a truly special human being and I suppose that explains so much. His story, his talent and his soul touch me on so many levels..I can't really explain it completely, because some of it is just inexplicable to me, so I just accept it and go with it. You always express everything so beautifully, so again, thank you.

This photo to me does not look 'authentic' ADAM ... sorry ... please don't think I'm CRITICIZING ... I could NEVER 'DISlike' anything about ADAM ... it would go against my nature ... but this photo looks like the photog is intentionally TRYING to make ADAM look BAD to go along with the title of the article ... an EXERCISE in FUTLITY ... IMO ... ADAM 'can't' look bad ... his INNER BEAUTY only serves to ENHANCE his OUTER appearance!! This isn't one of the best photos of our ADAM ... he is still GORGEOUS ... no matter what the camera TRIES to tell us ... after all ... not all photogs are as GIFTED as Lee Cherry so if a photo of ADAM doesn't meet with our approval ... we all know it's the photographer's fault ...
