Drfunkenberry.com sat down backstage with Nikka Costa before her concert at the Roxy in L.A. They talked about working with Adam Lambert and meeting him etc.

Thanks Mindchnger!

I got her new EP from iTunes and she is awesome, I can see why Adam has loved her for years. Now I do too.

She seems like a down to earth talented lady. I can understand why Adam likes her. She can sing, and not need autotune. She has a good sense of humor, which Adam likes, cause he likes to laugh. She acted a little shy, but can be nude in her box. Kind of like bb go gentle, and so fierce.

P.A.S.

She didn't sound as excited about working with Adam as he was working with her. But then again, the interview should have been about her and not another artist, so kind of get it. Dr. F sounds like a big Adam fan.

@The Dark Side
You are so right about Drfunkenberry...he is a BIG fan of Adam's and I've been following him on Twitter since he tweeted about Adam hanging out backstage with him at the Bruno Mars concert..In fact, he re-tweeted my tweet about that, which was pretty cool, and one of the fun things about twitter: you never know who is "listening"! No big deal, just fun!

I love what Nikka Costa said about Adam..Everyone he meets says the same thing about him. Can't wait to hear what they worked on for his album..

It's always nice to hear good things said about Adam and I have become a fan of her music, but I thought the interview was boring.

However, the blue settee was "way cool", I'd like to decorate a room around that!.......JAK

She had only good things to say about Adam, and he has said wonderful things about her for so long... this is a win-win situation. Nikka is a bit of an unsung talent, seems like, who should have more exposure than she does, and I'm betting that a lot of Glamberts, knowing how much he adores her, may just give her a chance and show up at her concerts now. I probably would, and I'd never heard of her before Adam.

It's all good, we as Adam's hard-core fan base are so incredibly supportive that it can only benefit any artist to hook up and work with him.

Nikka's father Don Costa was Frank Sinatra's musical director. In fact, Frank Sinatra was Nikka's Godfather.

Anon 2:27 re your last paragraph, I used to think so too until I read the posts in the thread with picture of Adam from Life.com. Talk about a bunch of nit pickers. Wow

It was wonderful of Nikka to be so kind about Adam. It's really great to hear others in the music industry speak highly of Adam.

@Glitzylady, you are so right about twitter! You never know who will retweet your tweets or answer you! Drfunkenberry actually responded twice to me about this interview. He said he would have it up Monday, but as I saw in his tweets Monday, he ended up going to a Rihanna concert. On his way home, he and the guy that he was driving home with heard an Adam Lambert song on the radio and he commented about that, so I thought that would remind him to finish editing and posting part two. I reminded him yesterday and am glad to see he finally got around to it! I wish there was more Adam info from Nikka. I agree with the Dark Side...I wish she acted more excited about working with Adam. Their video together seemed to give that vibe!

On another note, here is a tweet I just found:

@ 7:59 pm

I don't get it, I went back and read the comments on the Life Magazine thread. I only saw one comment that seemed to be a personal slur to Adam, and that only if you don't like Boy George.

No one said they didn't like Adam, they said they didn't like the photo! Isn't that allowed?
