There is whole world of artistic expression that a lot of us would never have seen if it hadn't been for Adam. This kind of thing is part of his world of friends. He is open to all kinds of stuff that a more mainstream audience would never be exposed to. You don't have to like it, of course, but it's a sub-culture that exists and Adam always supports his friends. If it's not your cuppa tea, skip on by. Remember all the pre-IDOL stuff we've seen Adam do, too! Pretty "out there" for lots of us! But it doesn't make me love Adam any less. "It's not that deep." This video is not porn to me. Just a different kind of sexiness. The older I get, the more I see new things as mind-broadening and enriching, not threatening or "bad." This certainly isn't a favorite video of mine, but I put it in context of who Adam is and who he knows and loves in his life.

Adam is free to befriend and enjoy any kind of entertainment he likes and we are free to like or dislike it. I really really really dislike it!

The stars and planets had aligned for him at the right time. Those, and the Idol’s producers... He doesn’t need to kiss their a$$es at all, he’s just telling the facts as they are (every time he speaks of the Idol team). Since K&T he’d refined his 'artistic speech’ with 'a little help from his friends' - managers, writers, producers and so on. He’s way too smart for anything else. I can’t wait for him to get ’older’ and ’wiser’. Can't wait to see what he'll ’tell’ his fans then......

......So, give Raja a million of (her own) fans... she might think twice what she really wants to say to them... Make Sutan aware of the fact that he might speak to/for thousands of young people (and several grandmas), gay and straight. What would he say? ”Let’s lick some ’popsicles’...get sticky together?” ... As for Tommy, ”the coolest straight boy in the world”, he might as well be Marilyn Manson’s child. Right now, I find him more interesting than Mr.A himself. The all-around kissing partner... I guess he was very lucky too. He has the love of his friends, no doubt about that (all those boys are so devoted to one another). And his fair share of obsessive love from fans. I only wish him to grow as a musician... and find his petit pretty blonde... in his own time, of course :-)... or keep her if already there.

In my opinion, Tommy will do whatever is asked of him to remain in Adam's close circle. Can't imagine what he is doing in this video with a reigning drag queen otherwise. I have no guesses about his fluid sexuality, but I do know that he is a mediocre musician who hit the motherlode with Adam Lamberts band because of his "look". Good on ya I guess, Tommy.

I'm hoping Tommy will develop a persona that will further his career. He's pretty much established as a pretty makeup wearing bass player with many varieties and hues of "whip it"

I still do not like Raja/Sutan invading this space, knowing of course that he didn't post it here himself.
I enjoy reading about Adam , and so far love his music. I don't go gaga over his looks , thighs,legs, bulge,hair and eyes, Yes he is a handsome man, but thank goodness not the only one. But he is singular in his lovely voice, no matter what he sings, ballads or rock.

I have stayed Anon here for a long time, but you have prompted me to finally "come out" and give myself a name. So from now on, I'm DRG. Just a last comment about Tommy. Sometimes, a musician's best value to a band isn't always his abilities as a musician. Sometimes, it IS the look, the personae, that extra something that adds to the personality of the band as a whole. Tommy may become a better musician, but his role in the band is more than that. He's the androgynous, hair-tossing, kissing, skinny guy who'll play any role Adam wants him to play. He may be just lucky to be there, but he's already made a name for himself in the band. Even if he leaves after a time, we'll always talk about "Tommy."

I agree completely with what you said. Sutan/Raja's music video is in association with his RuPaul Drag Race win, (I think anyway..) and it pretty much reflects that. He certainly is gorgeous both in drag and as himself. Another of Adam's many talented friends. Tommy was obviously doing this as a favor to his good friend Sutan and I'm sure he had fun doing it. I really don't think it will damage his "reputation" out there...He's a nice guy and talented. I can't figure out why anyone would say otherwise. And of course the world has seen Tommy kissing a guy before on TV: nothing new. As someone said, this probably isn't something we'll see on VH1. And even if it was, it isn't any more explicit (in fact less so) than some vids out there. But very sexy in a drag/gay/sexy way, which is exactly what it is meant to be. I don't consider it porn: maybe a little kinky/campy tho.

Speaking of campy and sexy and referencing Adam's Zodiac Show "Crawl Through Fire" performance: gotta say I was quite impressed (to put it mildly), because to see him just full out "theatrical" and sexy-fierce, unrestricted by the Idol stage (which he was still on when I first saw it), was just stunning and riveting to me. Still is.. I wonder if Adam misses the freedom he had during those Zodiac years to be more OTT.. Guess it's a tradeoff for the "money, fame and fortune". I'm sure he's not complaining. Out of the 4 minutes of video Tommy is in about 20 seconds of it.... why so much talk about Tommy? Isn't this video about Raja and the song. If we didn't know Tommy and his association with Adam, would you look at the whole video differently? I think Tommy did an excellent job in the video, he played his part very well, he looks sexy and very kissable. Raja looks fierce and very stylish! Well done!

I loved it. Think Sutan is a sexy man. Beautiful woman as well. Tommy is just a sweet laid back guy who doesn't seem to get excited over much of anything. He's just trying to get by. Remember he was not a basist but agreed to take that role since Monte was already in place. He didn't flinch at all when Adam planted one on him at AMA, and he never said a word to the press. I give him cudus for that. Except for when his dad was ill and later passed away, Tommy was at every performance. I like Tommy, but Adam is the man. Lets not forget where the music comes from :))

I think Sutan is GORGEOUS and don't care much for drag queens but am NOT bothered at all by the art form. Just always seems a bit shallow of an art form.

Tommy has made friends with Sutan and with Issac and they are young, rock guys having a laugh for pete's sake. Much of this is for just shear fun.

Tommy is actually a VERY good guitar player as well as a bass player and good for him that he was hired by Adam. Wonderful opportunity for a musician.

Raja/Sutan is a beautiful human...in any form...and an exceptional artist. Look at the make-up in this video - amazing!!! That is his art, and he is a master (in my humble opinion).

Did not care for the song, but absolutely loved the visuals of this video (except for the clown mask)...the whole thing was downright sexxxxy, especially Sutan's hair-flinging. My god! I like electronica music a lot...but this didn't do it for me. Still think the video was a treat for the eyes, though, and not porn. Not in the slightest.

My last question - why wasn't Adam in it? The thought of that makes me squirm in my seat! Of course I know he's too "mainstream" now, as Glitzylady was pointing out, to do something this far off the beaten path, but I can dream.

The music does not hit me, so I turn mute. But I think the vid is hilarious and crazy. Poor Tommy face all over with messy lipstick!! I´ve visited gay-clubs in Oslo. Much posing, fun, straight, gays, bi-folk, colours, glam, music, respect all over. That vid is no porn, maybe a slight "softy". Boys are having fun and nobody´s getting hurt or used. Tommy seem to enjoy himself.

Adam has lots of colourful people around him. Artists with their CHILD out. Talented, crazy, loving.

I was getting a bit bored so I entertained myself watching the Moscow videos again and one thing stood out to me. Adam needs a better band.
Keep Monte but replace Tommy and Isaac. Neither are top notch. Cam also needs to be replaced by a piano man like Zack who played with Adam on several occasions. Monte is taking the full load alone. Tommy is just there and Isaac is not in sync with Adam, can't read him like Longineu could. Adam's vocals are the best but without a strong band he can't be a concert contender.

The photography may have been great, the drag queen gorgeous, BUT the song, the lyrics, and the video itself was crap, total crap. And yes, that's MY opinion. So glad you like it, Adam. I DON'T. But then, Adam thinks KeSha is talented. I DON'T. He likes Britney's lip synched trash. I DON'T. He's madly talented, but sometimes his taste in entertainment for himself defies logic.

@Eva once said well that Adam doesn't have a band. He gathers musicians for a tour or a gig. If Adam had a band it would be something like "Tonight Adam and the Tommymontanas". No, Adam is strolling from one studio to another ALONE, while the others have their own club gigs. Adam's responsibility is huge.

Tommy was hired for his "look" to play an unfamiliar instrument. He may be great on other gigs, but he's only mediocre with Adam. Monte has ambitions of his own that do not include Adam, i.e his solo record. I hope that Adam soon realizes he's carrying them all. I also hope they appreciate it.

Tommy may be somewhat of a newcomer to the scene, but Monte was a well established musician long before he met Adam. In fact, he was looking for a lead singer for Citizen Vein when someone at the Zodiac suggested Adam, so don't sell Monte short. He has his own thing going on and did way before he and Adam hooked up. Don't make it seem as if Adam is the only talent because clearly that is not correct. How disingenuous.

Many think Tommy was so lucky to be hired by Adam, I think Adam was dam lucky he hired Tommy, I don't think Adam would have found another bass player that would have put up with all of Adam antics on stage. And I don't think they were all rehearsed, from hair pulling, boob pinching, to humping, to rude comments made during introductions. Adam wouldn't dare do any of those things with Monte. Monte plays guitar and that is it, you are lucky if you see a shoulder touch or fist pump between Monte & Adam....Adam show would have been a little like everyone else's without all of those antics. Most fans seems to look forward to what Adam would do next on stage, like would he kiss TJR tonight or would he pull his hair. Adam's dam lucky TRJ didn't sue him for sexual harassment. Also Monte knows a lot of musicians in the business I think if Tommy wasn't a good bass player, Monte would not be having him play in his band..... I'm not even certain why I'm saying this on a thread to do with Raja video... Adam may have a voice, but it takes more then 1 person to put on a show and make it entertaining night after night.

@9:07, I totally agree. Makes me wonder just what type of music Adam would have on his records if left entirely up to him.

And I have one more comment. I believe sex is being used more and more in this society to market EVERYTHING. What worries me about this is that it might lead to victimization. And it will not be the victimization of gay or straight men, it will be women and children. I do not condone censorship, so this is a conflict for me.

May be Sutan-Raja is crown queen it doesn't mean we have to enjoy his voice, which he doesn't have, the music and lyrics, which don't make any sence. I know, we love Adam, but his comments about any new song or music video sound very boring, like he likes everything new what just appeared on music market. Very strange:(
