I think Tommy is playing lead guitar . .it was what he auditioned for in the first place but Adam picked Monte or Monte finally decided to join GNT. . . .
But things got in the way between Adam and Monte.
I wish someone had video of their performance.

It was sad Adam and monte had a falling out but Tommy will be a good replacement.

Wondered about the band? So there's Tommy, looked like Isac, who replaced Monte?
What an awful shame. They were such a joy to see together and such good friends. It was such a special moment during the tour when he kissed Adam's forhead after WWFM & Aftermath. I'll always remember that. Sad =(

Yes, I am curious about the band too. I'm sorry for the problem between Adam and Monte, they've worked together a long time. I assume Tommy will be lead guitar since a female bass player has been added (she was sitting next to Tommy....was I seeing things....did she have part of her head shaved?) My eyesight is being ruined by comp. screen! I guess that was Isaac, I never recognize him, he morphs! Wonder if they have a keyboardist?

Wonder wonder. I like the fact that Tommy has a haircut, looks more professional, not so much a novelty act!

So eager for some performances from them backing Adam!

Tommy will do fine as Adam's lead guitar. Wish we could have heard the performance like the great fan videos from the GNT, but I'm sure it was stellar and well done. I hope time and forgiveness will heal the breach between Adam and Monte. With over 10 years of friendship and music between them,it has to be a painful loss to each of them. I did love seeing them creating magic together and Monte did intuitively know when Adam would change things up and not miss a beat. A shame that their friendship was lost over money and principles compromised. Monte was always generous to the fans at the GNTs.

I WASN'T AWARE THAT MONTE AND ADAM HAD A FALLING OUT. I GUESS I MUST HAVE MISSED THAT ONE. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED.

Out of subject. It seemd that BTIKM didn't break top 20. I can't believe that Adele's two songs are staying on top 10 for such a long time. I wish Adam would get more populairty. I hoped than his new management is gonna help Adam with promotions. ADam deff needs much more advertising:(

I don't think it was so much a hurt ear, think it was just a deffensive 'get out of my face' shielding himself type move to keep from having to see the faces GAWKING at him RIGHT outside the glass... a foot away.

If I understand it right --and If I got it wrong, sorry---please feel free to correct---

There is a law suit out over an old demo-type album that Monte and Adam worked on BEFORE American Idol and were paid for. Nothing came of it, UNTIL NOW that Adam has gained hard earned fame and worked hard to get where he is and is about to release and promote his OWN, NEW music, aka 'Tresspassing' coming out in March that we're all chomping at the bit for.
This other album was suddenly released right about the time the buzz was starting on his REAL album that's still not out yet, but fans are clamoring to buy.
When THAT album turned up on Amazon or where ever Adam asked it be removed...or blocked it... viola.
Not sure, but Monte I guess? would stand to make some $$ from it so disagreed with Adam or was sympathetic to the other side...

That's what it seemed like in a nutshell, but please if anyone knows more I'll stand corrected. That's what I got out of all the broken bits of info I heard...much after the fact.

It just breaks my heart as they were sooo tight and in synch on stage, and the times I got to see GNT, they were adorable together and really cared about each other. Such a shame. PLUS, Monte is **ONE HELL of a monster talented guitarist... amazing.

Looks like Tommy is going to play lead...and remembering he took a back seat from Monte on the GN tour.

Monte is very talented musician. And Tommy can't replace him.

I like Tommy's playing much better than Monte's. Monte was a virtuosos, but I felt his playing lacked soul. Tommy's got a lot of soul and twang. I think he'll be much more interesting.

Been wondering about the band
Ooh Cam is back..! GREAT, she meshed well.
Issac has fit in well too, glad to see he's back. Although I have to admit, it's about familiartiy and comfort.. nice to see Adam with not only a talented band, but what we've grown accustomed to (I have to admit I still miss Langenue(sp?)

One thing I'll never forget, the band leader on AI saying with a wondering look on his face... something like -->this Adam Lambert has the most amazing, natural intuitive musical talent and grasp for music and arrangement that he's EVER seen... or something on that idea. Adam knows what works and the best way to deliver it on stage and often made suggestions to help the other contestants. So just gotta trust that Adam will make the best choice to present his music. (...and hope he'll make a change if neccessary)

Looking at that full, shaggy mop .... this should satisfy the "shave-whiners". That "do" looks positively American Idolized.

I read somewhere MADONNA is going on tour in 2012, so probably Monte will go with her. Just saying!
