Some songs on the angst of his life are fine for the die hard fans like myself, but I think it's important to have some dance-friendly and radio-friendly tunes for the album to be successful on a large scale. I hope he kept his eye on this type of prize as well, not just what is known in the business as a vanity album.

Absolutely agree with the comment from 12:38 about the songs on the new album being dance and radio friendly. Radio play and promotion of a single are the keys to its success. Recently every time you turned on the radio all you heard practically every hour were Adele(love her) and Katy Perry along with a few others. That's what Adam needs with this first single and others that will be released. Add a video and then the promos on the entertainment and talk shows to the mix and Adam should get all the fame and success that he so deserves. And, yes, he does look terrific in the special message. I think that 2012 will be the best year yet for Adam.

I don't think it's possible to love you more Adam,, dark side,light side .. it's all good .. I've ordered four of trespassing and 3 of your single "Better Than I Know Myself". I will be buying more of your album for everyone I know,because who can get enough of Adam.

One of my co-worker's daughter sings pop songs and plays piano on high school, she has a good voice.I suggested to his father she sould sing Adam's songs so he listen BTIKM. He said it was a really good song.Well, 2 days later he was watching some Adam's pic on internet (glitter, the purple hair..etc.) and BANG! Prejudice HERE WE GO!! I wanted to kick his ass!! But at least he admited he likes the song.
Today, another co-worker who comes only twice a month, love the song!! She told me that Adam is so handsome and hot!! and has an amazing voice.She said there was a deep feeling on that voice.I felt so happy when she told me that.She doesn't speack english so she asked me what was the song about, when I told her she almost cry!!
Adam can touch our hearts only with his voice.

Niki Minaj's debut single is at #81. This is off of her new album which will be out on Feb. So Adam's single did much better than Niki. With more promo it'll go up next month.

Adam's single has gone higher at #1 movers and shakers on Amazon from 400 something% to over 600%. It is back in the top 100 at #94. It was reported in an article that it sold 39,000 units its first week. That is with no promotion and during the holidays! Way to get the 2nd era rolling!

Doing the tour with Queen will be a decision based on Adam wanting to perform in front of 100's of thousands or the smaller arena's.
I hope he stays true to himself and tours solo.

I just read an article that stated BTIKM sold 39K copies in it's first week. How can that be possible? The single should have sold thousands more. I'm hoping radio airplay increases the numbers drastically.

After all, BTIKM charting at #76 isn't that bad considering hardly any radio play (only 94) and no promotion. Only Adam's tweets some internet mentions and fans buying it from Amazon and iTunes.

A few appearances with Queen could only further polish Adam's reputation. THEY WERE AND ARE BIG!

@7:29PM Please consider that some people ordered Trespassing album on AdamOfficial in order to get free download of BTIKM. Some didn't buy BTIKM from Amazon or iTunes once they pre-ordered Trespassing album on AO in order to get free download of BTIKM. Ugh! Not a good move by RCA!

But 39K isn't bad, after all. Considering, it was released few days before Christmas and there weren't much of radio play and promotion. FYE sold 19K on its first week. Plus the song charted on Billboard 100 at #76. I wouldn't worry. All is well!

About Radio Play: They'll (RCA) be full steam ahead with the music video (filming "early January..) and will be "impacting" the song Jan. 31..Sounds like it's doing well all things considered...with very little promo yet..YAY!! (I LOVE that song!!)

One (or many..) of the reasons that I find Adam so fascinating as a person and an entertainer is because he is so multi-faceted and "real"..I hope he always remains so: open and "himself"..He's had a few rough patches but I have faith that he will continue to evolve as a human being (as we all should..), and continue to "surprise" and entertain us with his artistry and talent. I really felt the emotion in his voice, and in his eyes here..I know this was taped before the craziness of last week. But I still see the vulnerable man there peeking out just a little bit..Expecting great success with this new music....

4:58, why so crabby? It's funny that lots of singers act a lot worse than Adam and they still sell millions. Their fans don't seem to mind how they act. They buy their music anyway. Adam's a saint compared to a lot of them. If you want to be a fan of someone who is perfect and boring all the time, then go for it. That someone is not Adam. If he makes mistakes, so be it. He'll have to take the hits for them. I prefer interesting, exciting people with human flaws. I'm not tired of anything he does. He's fascinating and beautiful and willing to take risks. Trespassing will do very well.

This is good sale for no active promo ,but what about international sale?

I think Adam can do the shows with Queen and do his own tour. Queen is only going to do about two or three shows,He won't do the other tour that Queen is heading up. That is a separate thing, and Queen will not be in it. Even though people are clammering for Adam, I don't think he will have as many venues next time. That almost wiped him out, and heavier drinking started. If RCA sets it up properly he will have bigger venues, than last time.Roger and Brian are twice his age, that is why they won't be doing very many shows. It could really make his career, besides he has always loved Queen and considers it to be a huge honor to be asked. But nothing is signed yet, there will be a lot of meetings between RCA and Queen.

I was surprised at the wording in the verse Adam added to BTIKM. It seemed to fit the fiasco in Finland, yet it was written months ago. Adam might be a hard person to live with. Sauli also might have a few flaws. They have each lived alone for a few years, and you can get set in your ways. It can be hard to adjust to the idea that there is another person in your life, that you have to consider. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they actually had a mild tussle, usually most arguments are all words. Sorry I didn't mean to bring that up again, but it puzzles me. I don't think drinking too much caused it. I never thought either one of them would ever get physical, they are usually happy and in love with each other.

We "Glamberts" love you for who you are Adam,just had to say that. also wanted to tell you my 17 yr old son just revealed that he is gay, its so hard for him. id give anything to have him listen to your experiences with dealing with this touchy subject.over the holiday his BF was here and they ended up in an arguement which later led to both being arrested, but not for physically fighting. i am devastated that my son is now being held in a juvi detention center i'm raising the money to get him home. i hope ppl finally realize that your sexuality isn't asked for, you are born with it. I guess what I'm saying is that living in a small town sux, i cant get my son out of the system due to this recent occurance and some of his past dumb mistakes.I feel like he is being judged by his sexuality, idk, when you say dark side this is what i think of in my sons life. feel free "Glamberts" to leave me some advice. sorry Adam if I took away from you but I thought you could relate as well as your fellow fans. ksgirl01

my son was horrible, drinking, weed, losing job after job and around 30 years old he grew up. No weed, same job for 9 years and no run in with the law, still drinks too much though. Don't give up, it was a rough ride for both of us.Even his Dad is proud of him now.

What is going thru my head is what Adam said about moving from his hometown where he hid his sexuality because he didn't know other gays. And then when he moved to West Hollywood he found a community who accepted him and his nerves disappeared and could be himself.

I know your situation may not be possible for you to move with your boy to a larger city, but maybe the thought of that time coming might help him now. Could you perhaps talk to a Pflag (Pfflag?) member who might be able to give you some advice? If there is none in your town, check out on the computer where there is one.

We have a couple nice members on this blog, maybe they will see your comment.

Just read your post. You are not alone in this. It was 3 years ago that my own son came out to me. He was on Christmas break. I saw Ellen's picture on the computer after I came downstairs and tearfully asked God for the male version of her. That was the year Adam went on AI. I truly think he is the answer to many prayers out there. Sure, he has made mistakes. That was his own journey and it is TOUGH..and NOT a choice as Adam has told everyone. The people on this site are wonderful. We Glamberts are a family and so is PFLAG. You can find a local chapter on line. You will be able to talk to someone and meet really great people.I wish you were from WA state. I am now the president of my chapter. (Bellevue). Look that up and you may be able to contact me or someone in my chapter. We are on Facebook.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Continue to support your son. Your love and full acceptance is what he needs more than anything. Take care.

Such an interesting thread today! When I read posts from you parents whose kids have "come out," it really touches my heart. My godson is gay, and my sister's step-daughter is gay. I think our connection with Adam is so helpful in understanding all this and getting through it. I know it has been so for me. It's one of the MANY reasons I love him so. His influence is more profound than anyone realizes, at least yet. As for the music, I think Adam's 2012 tour will have larger venues but fewer dates, which is good. That last tour was a killer, but it opened up lots of fanbases, and it was worth the work. Although I think his venues will be bigger than on GNT,I DON'T CARE if Adam sells out huge arenas a stadiums, or has the same ticket sales as Gaga and Bieber. He is NOT THEM. He is Adam. I'm not going to compare him to others. I would love to see him do the Queen thing, interspersed with his own tour. Sounds like Brian and Roger REALLY want to do it. This keeps Adam in the international eye. Can we get his new music to #1? I believe we can! I'm not worried about the numbers at this point. the promo hasn't begun yet. Just think: UK promo coming, new video, magazine shoots, TV and radio interviews. Adam-gasm!

wow, thank-you so much for your comments everyone. i had such a horrible day today, lots of crying. the court system decided to put my son in a group home and will not tell me for how long :( i feel so bad for him and my hands are basically tied at this point.when you make mistakes in a town our size it never seems to go away. but on a brighter note maybe he will find a nice guy and forget about his ex who put him in this position. i feel silly telling my probs on adams site but you all are cool to be a part of. thanx :)
