What is GQ? And this is the worst Picture of Adam on AMA! And they caught it!
About hat! Most of of the people (even Adam's fans) didn't like it. Yes, it is Boy Georgy....:D
I never like BG!
However, Freddie liked him and complimeted his performances and his outfits.
So, Adam, I think Freddie would like your hat! It's mean that I love it.
Seriously, my ex-father-in-law had same hat. He was the most attractive man in our 3,000,000 people city!!!

Bad news or comments are better than no news nothing!!!

Anonymous said...

I bet they know about the tinhatters in GQ.

Anonymous said...

GQ has never been nice to Adam. Stupid, cause if he was on their cover in a hot outfit they would sell tons of mags. Their loss.

Anonymous said...

OT Sorry have to vent. In people Magazine they reviewed James Durbin's album. Called him a cross between Daughtry and Adam. Said he was one of the best rock singers to come off idol. Do you think they listened to his acoustic songs. Ugh Horrible! They should listen to Adam singing with Queen.O.K. back to Adam!

Anonymous said...

I wonder do they like beiber's pants with crotch between his knees? Now THAT'S fashion!

Anonymous said...

I find nothing wrong with this jacket-suit outfit. It fits his persona...theatrical and stylishly avan-garde. GQ...tunnel visioned.

Adam looks hot. The long black coat is sexy. The vest and pants were a nod to his last appearance on the AMA stage, which makes it totally cool.

GQ's comment is very immature. How can I take their magazine seriously when it is printing such comments that I would expect to see in a grocery store rag magazine or a comment off of TMZ?

Anonymous said...

I might be one of a few but I really loved the outfit. Course he could wear nothing and I would think he looked good.

Anonymous said...

I refuse to buy any mag that portrays Adam in a negative light constantly. I remember Adam's retort last time. He gave it back to them. We all know he is a style icon. I will never buy GQ. Star Mag redeemed themselves, People has no taste if they like that jerk James Durbin. Just saying...

choons said...

Adam, if you're lurking, you look so fantastic. Elegant glam. GQ is just jealous they'll never ever look as fab as you. Absolutely stunning IMHO.
And GQ, if you're lurking, I'd buy every copy on the newstand if Adam was on the cover.

Anonymous said...

Two of my friends started watching Idol last season and were in awe of James Durbin. They think he will out shine Adam. I don't like to dog anyone but I couldn't stand James. He will never compare to Adam in my book ever!!!!

Anonymous said...

James Durbin isn't nice. His voice isn't very good and he isn't good looking. Adam Lambert is handsome, a great vocalist and artist and has an amazing personality. Durbin won't be a big star. He just screams and copies others.

Anonymous said...

Who is this fucking James Durbin?
Sarcastic, ALA(Adam Lambert Addicted) Troll

Anonymous said...

Durbin only sold 28,000 albums, so not good at all. Adam is the whole package and can sing anything right on key! Adam to me is the most talented male voice living right now. J.D. can't hold a candle to him. And poor Daughtry too for getting compared. I like Daughtry.

Anonymous said...

That dude cannot breathe in the same air and sound. HE WILL NEVER TOP ADAM

Anonymous said...

Check the ones that GQ praised on that same site. They are so pedestrian. Obviously, GQ doesn't understand Adam's glam taste.

Anonymous said...

I bought one of James albums and there are some very good songs on it but I would not classify it a rock album, not that I am any kind of expert. I left a comment on the GQ site and they haven't posted it. I wasn't nasty or anything, I sort of find their review funny.js

I think you never saw JD on AI!

My comment to GQ is "piffle".

When I was a child I thought it was a word made up by my grandmother...she used it a lot...to my surprise I discovered it was a real word..."nonsense"!

@ 9:01 PM

My comment to you is "piffle".

Anonymous said...

This is AL Diamond Sweet Sexy & Gold heart Boy!
How come anybody can mention JD name on this blog?
And JD appearance on AMA is fraud and photoshop!!
He never was invited on such a big venue like AMA

Anonymous said...

ha,ha, my new word is going to be piffle esp when it comes to GQ. lol

Anonymous said...

They should have shown a pic with Adam on stage with Queen... now that had to be one of the "best dressed" I've ever seen. HOT!

Anonymous said...

Anon 9:19 -- I noticed that the US media hardly ever show any artists' performances outside of America or even talk about incredi ble shows that are not held in the US (like MTV's EMAs). Such a waste for all Americans who are missing on great coverage.

Anonymous said...

This is the Christmas! My favorite Cristmas Songs are Winter's Tale and Thanks God is Christmas!
Have you ever hear these songs?
Only Adam can sing the Winter's Tale! But he is is not mature enough.
But he was chosen by Queen!May be one day they will give him chanc to sing these songs
If you will open "Winter's Tale" Wiki, you understand what I'm talking about.

Anonymous said...

I think Adam looked absolutely stunning at this year's AMAs. I adore that outfit and he wears it brilliantly. Obviously, GQ have no taste whatsoever.

OT - as a non-American, in what place did JD's album debut? I had a look at the charts last night and at #72, he aint doing well. It's an insult to Adam and Chris Daughtry that he's compared to them.

Adam Lambert Spreads ‘World AIDS Day’ Message
How come nobody READ THIS ARTICLE!

Anonymous said...

GQ only likes men in 3-piece navy business suits :) Adam Lambert is daring with his fashion and his fans love him for it. But, what's most important is that Adam will never accept to be put in a MOLD to please a magazine's idea of what supposedly looks nice. Great artists are trailblazers, not conformists.

Anonymous said...

OT
Wow Melanie Amaro! You come pretty close to our Adam's MJ week performance on AI! I really really hope you win the 5 million! Best of luck! Simon gave you a standing ovation just like he did for Adam's Mad World. That last note of the MJ song...only Adam can do but you did it! Great job Melanie!

Somewhere, in the back room of an office without windows and with a bad coffee machine, sits a lonely little person, who has the job of criticizing photos of celebs, doing their creative thang, dressed up on the red carpet.
Who gives a shit what that little person thinks.

@Anon 11:26 PM
Exactly...

Someday they'll be begging Adam to appear on the cover of their magazine..When he is the hottest ticket on the planet in 2012...

Anonymous said...

To be honest Adam don't look good here, maybe next time he look better.

Anonymous said...

I think maybe GQ mag want attention to buy they mag for curiosity..the more negative the write the more people buy it.

Adam have better dress than that, sometimes hes loose he's sense of fashion.

As for james durbin here ,some of he's song are melodic and some are hard rock.it's more like daughtry songs about pain but for he's fierce and style and performer they compare him to Adam.

Anonymous said...

I just want to say that when some one new come every one try to praise them as superstar and one of the best like James durbin but after 2 to4 years there will be new one mag will praise them .

Anonymous said...

I hate this dress with that hair but what's wrong withGQ mag hating?
I'm happy for single anyway.

HK fan said...

GQ always put Adam on the worst dressed list even if other places have him as best dressed (I saw several articles where he was best dressed at the AMA's).
I love this outfit. especially the coat, apart from the high collar on the shirt, if it was a normal collar it would have been perfect.

Anonymous said...

They were just going for a laugh about the metalic pants and vest.
@ 7:55 PM, they weren't talking about the wide brim black hat (the Boy George looking one). They were saying that if he were wearing a funnel for a hat he would look like the tinman in the Wizard of Oz. A metal man. Apparently they don't like shiny men!

Anonymous said...

GQ go fuck yourself....

Anonymous said...

Adam is such a trend setter and GQ wants to get a little press . It's all good. I think Adam looks fantastic in this photo.Do you think Adam gives a crap at what they think? He's probably going to head for a fashion line some day and finally make men's boring clothes into a look that's fun, sexy and fantastic..

Anonymous said...

GQ is just jealous about how well the suit fits Adam - especially the pants!

Full of BS:)

They need Adam for publicity stunt which is good indeed!!!!

This magazine knows that Adam sells indeed:)

Call me cray but I thought this was one of his nicest red carpet looks to date.

And seriously, there is no need to discuss James Douchebin. He will be gone before x-mas and never heard from again...

Anonymous said...

I agree that if they gave him the cover that mag would sell out. Adam wears clothes really well because he is tall and well really GOOD LOOKIN. I always like his clothes sometimes NOT his hair(like recently with Queen. I am always hopeful he will at least sometime let his hair be all WILD!

Urethra_Franklin said...

Adam's hair is like the weather in NOLA. If you dont like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. lol

Anonymous said...

Wow, when the album hits massive internationally and ADAM soars to #1 (which he will), prehaps GQ
will backtrack very quickly! If not, who the heck cares...Adam
is a fashion bloody icon and obviously GQ have a problem somewhere! Go figure!

Anonymous said...

Adam out does GQ! He leaves them in the dust with such absured remarks. Adam's superb greatness is too much for them to handle.
Adam's gain, GQ;s loss, big time!

Anonymous said...

Would you think I'm crazy if I said that I like GQ's (wicked-witted) comment as much as Adam's outfit? Don't answer that!! HaHa.
Isn't he the Wizard of Glam? My Ziggy Tindust resplendent star!
I'd say he has enough time to put his imprint/footprint/feet... in all the right places.:-)

Anonymous said...

The funny thing is the mag always make lots of fun of lady gaga dress whatevere she wears and she keep wear what she loves in any style Adam does it too.

It's wicked to see gaga and Adam always get mention in mags.

Anonymous said...

I LOVE this photo of Adam in that gorgeous, gorgeous outfit. GQ sprout a load of nonsense. I hope Adam isn't bothered by it.

Anonymous said...

GQ criticizes lots of big name people, so Adam is not alone. Better to be in there and gets dissed than not at all. I think he looks great. As others have said, GQ should "drss him up" their way and put him on the ocver. Talk about buzz! As for that other singer whose name I cannot mention, he's giving it a good try, but there is absolutely no star power there. He have a decent voice sometimes but no magnetism with a big audience. His recent sales tell it all. I didn't really want to mention him here because I didn't want the whole thread to go that way. But I did, and now I'll shut up about it. Rather talk about ADAM!

OK, 24/7, could you perhaps add Claude Kelly's tweet about Adam's new song that is BADASS!

Anonymous said...

Fashion critics make their living commenting on what other people are wearing. Adam has made his share of fashion faux pas, though his AMA costume wasn't one of them. However, I view their comments as a good thing because at least they noticed him. Think of all the ones attending the AMA's that weren't even mentioned. There's no such thing as bad publicity, unless of course, it gets you put in jail. LOL.

Anonymous said...

I read the Claude Kelly tweet that Adam's single is Badass! Please let it come out in December. I can't wait to hear our beautiful badass Adam's voice!!!

Anonymous said...

My wish for Adam's album is that it charts at #1, and stays there forever like Adele's. Adele's has been in the top 1 to 5 range for a very long time. If Adam had that kind of success I would be ecstatic!!!He deserves it. Adele and Adam are both in a league of their own.

Anonymous said...

I looked at some of the best dressed . . some of them are dressed like PeeWee Herman's Playhouse only with brighter colors WTF

BTY. . I like PeeWee Herman

Adam is in a league of his own
OUT magazine finally realized that . .

Anonymous said...

Hey you idiots, Adam got a mention in GQ! A lot of people read that!
Any publicity right before the album comes out is good.

Anonymous said...

The stylists at GQ are peeved because Adam poked fun and in fact satirized their stuffed-shirt style so perfectly ... and looked elegant doing so. He's an entertainer, not a desk-job man. His inside joke about the stuffed-shirts at the AMA was thoroughly enjoyed by the cognocente. Bravo Adam.

Anonymous said...

GQ would not get the fact that behind Adam's vest and pants and Sauli's tie there was kind of a message . . we Glamberts got it.

GQ is clueless

Anonymous said...

Adele is bored with her career already. Too much too soon.

9:45 be nice! We are just having some fun with the article that's all and that's why they put Adam in there. I thought it was hilarious.

Adamluv said...

Is this the same GQ that last month had Eminen, Lil'Wayne and Keith Richards on the cover???? That says it all!!! If they think those 3 have style then of course they'd diss on Adam. Just dont ever support them by buying their mag. ... Adamluv

Anonymous said...

11:39, this is 9:45. Adamluv's post is what I'm talking about. It's a compliment that GQ thought Adam was enough of a celebrity to even include him on the list! What if somebody who's not familiar with Adam reads it and then hears that he has a new album coming out. Maybe they will be intriged enough to at least check it out. It's called publicity. It was by that type of publicity that I first heard of U2. It made me want to check out their music. Otherwise, I might not have. That was 20 years ago. I've been a fan ever since.
I understand some of Adam's fans wanting to protect him at all costs, but I also understand it when some people say his fans(the overzealous ones) are actually hurting him. It was about clothes. They weren't attacking his character. Telling people to not buy the magazine is overdoing it. Adam is in it!

As long as they don't make disparaging remarks about his vocals I can pretty much ignore it...just a silly remark that really doesn't mean much...I think they really had to stretch to say anything against his outfit. It just doesn't fit GQ's image as chino and button down shirts. And it is a mention...As I said, the best and smartest thing they could do in the future is 1. Quit making fun of him and 2. Invite him to do a really stylish and trendy cover shoot because 3. They'll have the best selling issue in the history of GQ. I won't bother responding to them unless they say he can't sing or something idiotic like that. That's when MY claws come out. I don't buy the magazine anyway..But I definitely would if Adam was on the cover or in a picture that they actually praised him. I think the time will come...Although Adam said he isn't very "GQ" so I'm guessing he didn't pay much attention..or maybe considered the source and laughed. I hope so..because he has other more relevant things to think about right now... : ) (It WAS snarky though!!)

Anonymous said...

Go Adam. Adam is all about originality, and GQ doesn't know what that means.

Anonymous said...

Lots of talk about Durbin. I do think--as Adam said--he has a nice tone to his voice. The problem is he's off key to the point I have to get up and leave. This is unfortunately what I had to do during the two Idol concerts I attended. He did make a dramatic entrance, and I was hoping for a good performance. It was discordant noise.

Anonymous said...

Plz don't leave this negative article for too much longer. We need some positivity, 24/7. Thank you.

Guess GQ never saw Adam at the Grammy's last year. He was picture perfect, dressed appropriately for the event, and mastered the red carpet. Stunning. Now, on to Joan Rivers and Fashion Police. Wrote the network. She cannot mention Adam Lambert's name without adding some tasteless gay joke. Even when her panel (and the regular press) were noting Adam's great look at the Grammy's she had to make a gay slur, not once but twice. My concern is that, although I don't believe she is homophobic, in a time where gay rights are under assault, bullying is at a peak and kids are committing suicide, she can choose to be a leader, or she can choose to perpetuate stereotypical gay humor. By doing so, she gives "permission" for people to bully and make fun at the expense of a significant portion of our population. At the very least, this type of humor is past its pull date. In some media, Adam cannot get a break. He deserves better. I thought he chose his 2011 AMA fashion quite well. Intrigued by his ironic "homage" to the 2009 AMAs. He is a clever guy.

Anonymous said...

Calm down Adam fans, you guys like frisky cats jump on everything.I'm happy he's in mags and good thing is he's almost everywhere ,good management.

Anonymous said...

Been waiting all day for this crappy story to go. But it hangs on. Ugh! I was listening to Pandora and a song from Adam's CD Beg For Mercy came on. WTF? He doesn't want that. That lawsuit seems ridiculous. It isn't blocked anywhere so what is their beef? Anyway, it was a rockin' sound. I hope that Adam has some rock and not just electronic. Want to hear his vocals this time. Please, don't drown out his voice.

Anonymous said...

The Best-Worst Dressed is for entertainment sake. It's to get a rise out of people, and it does. Like I and many others have already said, GQ should put Adam in a great outfit of their choice and put him on the cover. Talk about a best-selling issue! Frankly, I think it's about time to take down this thread. It's run its course and just keeps us needlessly riled up. As for jd, he is a non-entity and I get annoyed when I see him mentioned on an Adam site. Any press he gets is too much, IMO. Hope there is less talk of him in general, at least here. Sorry, but I feel strongly about this.

I don't mean to make anyone mad by saying this, but I'm going to say it anyway. Please stop talking about James Durbin. The mean tings you all are saying about him are out of character for some of you. There's no way in the world he will ever touch Adam's talent, but he has real physical problems that he has had to overcome. He can't help the things he says sometimes. Please, I have a nephew with the same problem, so I know what it's like. The bullying can be unbeleivable. Have some compassion and don't mention him again. BTW he is NOT a non-entity, he is a person.

Anonymous said...

We don't have to talk about GQ.
Seen any good movies lately? Started your Christmas shopping?
How many catalogs came in the mail this week? Are you reading a good book? Was Demi right to set Ashton free? Is Leo DiCaprio ever gonna pick one model out of the few he hasn't dated and settle down? Have any of you googled Jenni Vartiainen, a Finnish singer and listened to her.....sorry, not in English but still enjoyable and she's a knockout! Have you heard Adele and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland sing together?
Isn't the new Beckham baby an adorable dumpling?

The problem with Adam as a model in some fashion magazine would be that NO ONE would be looking at the clothes. I certainly wouldn't!!! They need sort of skinny, bland guys who don't outshine the clothes. Remember that grey trench coat photo shoot? That is their "style" of clothing and it just made me want to tear up that obviously expensive coat and get to the man underneath. Not good marketing for the clothes. He is just too ...... distracting!!!
