Lovely pic, but it's not quite Adam as we have known him. Keep the black hair Adam.

So young. I love his hair black with those gorgeous blue eyes though.

His eyes, oh my ,are they bedroom eyes or what! (I'm not necessarily talking about this picture, but adam really is one handsome man!! I would love to see his face up close like so many have(fans)They all say the same thing- just beautiful! I wonder if he will do signings on the next tour and meet all his fans- I'll wait in line this time ( I didn't last two concerts)- I need to see him up close, I really do! I will wait this time for sure!

This picture is Adam as he truly is, a very handsome man. Natural color hair (more or less...) and no make-up. And still gorgeous. I know that while he prefers his hair dark and he looks absolutely striking that way as well, no doubt about it, I would love to see him shock the heck out of us sometime and go natural. Ginger hair, or even light blond, and let those freckles show...Just for a little while.. With Adam, you just never know..

Adam is Adam no matter what his hair color happens to be. Man is a genius.

I don't think Adam will ever go back to his natural color, at least not in a serious, long-term way. Remember when he said, "Opie doesn't do rock n roll." As much as I love Adam in any style of hair, clothes, etc., I like him best with black hair. I understand why he chose to do it. It REALLY sets off his eyes, which are one of his best features. He knows that blue eyes and black hair are stunning and attention getting. I think he's a raven-haired rock god for the long term. That's ok with me.

I like these natural eyebrows better than present ones. I've seen one photo of him with a warm brown hair color that was very flattering. Wouldn't mind seeing that one day. I don't mind what color his hair is...just as long as it's there! It's so thick I don't think Father Time will take it! Lucky genes!...^o^...that's genes, not jeans, ....tho...

By the way, I wasn't suggesting Adam go back to his natural look and keep it forever..but I think it would be fun just for a little while...He had made a comment a while back that if he ever went light with the hair color, he would go REALLY light...like platinum blonde...I really liked his "Wolfe" look this summer, the lighter hair on the top...It softened his look a bit and still kept the dark hair. But I agree that he looks absolutely stunning with his hair dark...But he looks mighty fine this way too. : )

Oh, and @JAK, I think lucky JEANS is also correct...

I'm guessing this hair (above) was perhaps from around the time of his "Debbie Does Dallas" musical (2006) at Lake Tahoe, CA..Not one of his favorite gigs according to him, but it was a job! A picture with a fan below, and the article: There's a picture too....

RadarOnline.com obtained this exclusive photo of Adam before he went glam, when he was starring as an all-American football jock in the Lake Tahoe production of the "naughty" musical Debbie Loves Dallas.

The photo is from 2006.

Suzi Slye Elasik, pictured with Adam, was at the show and is now rooting for him on Idol. She told RadarOnline.com: "Adam played the lead in the play opposite Debbie. He was wonderful in it - he sang, he danced and his stage presence was amazing. Adam was so clean cut, polite and a gentleman - the son every mother would love. He was friendly, humble, gentle and snuggly. I was so smitten, being a grandma that he hugged me and was so nice."

The musical, which received rave reviews, is NOT associated with the infamous adult X-rated film Debbie Does Dallas. The play does have some topless scenes and was touted as "Tahoe's hottest sexy adult revue." It played at Harveys Lake Tahoe Casino and Resort to an over 21 crowd only.

Ironically, this production was directed and choreographed by Jennifer Lopez's ex husband Cris Judd.

Suzi, an "American Idol" fan, is certainly rooting for Adam.

"Are you kidding me?" she told RadarOnline.com. "I knew him before he was famous so I'll definitely be watching tonight and cheering on Adam!"

OT - I see Gaga is posing nude for the January issue of Vanity Fair. I guess she ran out of costume ideas haha. Unfortunately for us, Adam is too classy to do something like this, another thing I like about him.

When Adam is between cds in the future he can go incognito by dying his hair his natural color and he wouldn't have to worry about baseball caps and sunglasses.

Personally, I love his natural look as much as I love his darker look. Kind of exciting to have both Adams...

A change of hair color can't faze me...as the mother of 2 daughters, I'm immune. Their teenage years were a rainbow of variety. I used to pray that they each had plans for Saturday nights...because if they didn't, they were spent in their bathroom dying! Lots of giggling and sometimes crying, always a bad sign! The rule was,,,no matter what, you're not skipping church next morning...just sit 10 rows behind me!!
