From Huffingtonpost:

Lambert debuted a new track, "Outlaws Of Love," from his upcoming sophomore album due out in 2012.

The singer says that he wrote this song about "acceptance" and how it feels like "no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you're running from the law."

what is that suppose to mean??? One of the queerest songs of 2011? I think this is one of the most beautiful songs adam has ever sung.

Nope. I agree with HuffPost. My VERY first impression was WAY queer. You gotta look at some of this objectively. I dont even think this should be promoted. Will most def turn people off the album. And Adam sings everything beautifully. But this song is, well, kinda bad.

lot of good artists on the list Lady GaGa,Ricky Martin, Will Young. The song has a point and is beautiful.

I don't think queerest necessarily means bad here.

7:43pm: This song makes me cry. Gays are outlaws of love in the US. If I had lived in some other country than where I was born, I would be an outlaw of love on my own way. The message of the song extends beyond gays for those who are open to it.

I think this is meant to be a compliment, not a slam.

Like I understood "Hugguntopost" is Gay Voice webside.
And as far as "Born This Way" is #1in queerest list, I think this is great that they mentioned "Outlaws Of Love" in this list! It's the same like sombody mentioned this song as a sexiest song of 2011!
Adam performed "Outlaws Of Love" just once in Canada and it never was released as single.
And if somebody mentioned this song in this list, this is great for Adam. Cause, it's mean that "Outlaws Of Love" very special and beautiful song.

Sorry, I meant "Huffingtonpost":):):)

8:09 exactly my thoughts too. I went to the source and it is in the GAY VOICE section.

The word, queer, has varying shades of meanings like, eccentric, perculiar, homosexual (slang). I love Adam singing this beautiful heartfelt song. It'll probably make it big in China if it hasn't already because of the special lilt in the melody.

What an unfortunate title to Huff's article. "Queerest" songs???? Not sure what they were going for, but it almost sounds insulting and meant to trivialize the works included. to anonymous who writes that Outlaws of Love will be a turnoff and is "kinda bad," I loved it the first time I heard it. And given the moral panic of the field of presidential candidates, it is actually quite important.

"Queerest" in a gay publication simply means "gayest." It's a compliment for OOL to be on their list.

I love the song, lyrics, melody, and of course with Adam's angelic voice it's just beautiful in my opinion.

The term 'queer' is not considered derogatory by the younger gay set. This is a compliment to Adam's song and shows people have noticed it even though it has not been released as a single. BRAVO!
I think it is haunting, sad, and beautiful. IMO it should be the anthem for marriage equality.

Well whatever the outcome let's trust people realize how beautiful this song really is, because we're told it will be on 'Trespassin'!
Personally I reckon it's bloody stunning!

I love THIS SONG so much! Only Adam could sing the word "hell" so beautifully - like a prayer. The meaning of the song is amazing and I think Adam should be very proud of it. nancdruuu2

Adam has such a beautiful voice but I was immediately disappointed when I saw him wearing a fox tail.

I loved Adam's fox tail, and loved the way he made jokes about doing his dusting with it, I love his sense of humour. As far as Outlaws Of Love, I think queer is being used here as a compliment because it speaks volumes about Gay relationships and all they have to go through. For me the lyrics in this song are beautifully written and melody is hauntingly beautiful, especially when played on piano.

idk if this is out of concept but is what i feel like writing :)

in my opinion this song is awesowe! i mean i dont even care about if it is for gays or not...im tired of people putting gays on another group( which im happy it doesnt happen here :D) but i see and respect gay people like i would to straight or even more.....

i really dont understand why at this date people judge so much which is sad :(

so this song is special to me....my cousin killed himself because he could never "come out" he had a family, he had everything but was not happy....he decided to reveal himself and everybody judged him....I HATE JUDGEMENT! he was really close to ke and he would talk to me about his life and i felt useless becaise i couldnt help him....

but that is in the past now...i like this song because is not to much in your face is just enough.... and adams voice makes it even better :)

@fefa14 Thanks for writing. This serves as a reminder to all of us the tragedies that still exist all around us. My heart goes out to all who have suffered because of their orientation. All are victims - those who have died - their friends and families - and what they could have contributed to society.

The song is lovely and Adam of course sounds great on it. However, I don't think it will be released as a single. Since people on this site have repeatedly said that the biggest pop audience is teens who don't care about lyrics, vocals, or anything else but a fun dance beat, this song would not even be on their radar. Adam will include it in his concert set probably, but I doubt it will get air play. And, maybe the Huff Post headline is acceptable to the gay community, but I am somewhat offended by it.

@lmb
I agree, the song is indeed haunting and speaks to the inequalities and attitudes towards the gay and lesbian community..and the heartbreak and the feeling that their love and even lives at times, are outside the law.

To everyone else:
I subscribe to the Huffington Post online, and often read articles from the "Huff Post Gay Voices" section..(one of many different "interest" sections in addition to the standard Huffington Post, which is a fairly liberal and widely read online newspaper covering a wide range of topics...) It is a legitimate and respectful section of the H. Post dedicated to the GBLT community and the news that relates to it..It is NOT the Huffington Post poking fun or calling anyone names or being derogatory at all.

This is not at all rude or trivializing Adam's song or him.. It is recognizing his feelings as a gay man, not to mention other GLBT folks who feel they are "Outlaws of Love"..Queer is a term used within the community to describe themselves and the "culture"...It CAN also of course be insulting if used in a way MEANT to be demeaning or hateful...It's all in how its used and WHO uses it...

This is the description (from the article) of the songs and those who sing them: The songs themselves are sung by gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender...(Click on the SOURCE button above to see the other 20 songs and artists..in the article...)..

"2011 was a great year for music -- especially music from gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans artists.

Before the year comes to a close, we're taking a look back at 21 songs from queer artists released in the last 12 months.

Vote on your favorites and tell us what other songs from LGBT artists you couldn't get enough of in 2011 in the comments section below."

I'm sorry but I think setting apart gay artists is excluding them from the general public. I would prefer they would be included and that is the goal to work toward.
