It doesn't say that Adam's single will be released this week or next, only that details are coming. It could only mean that a PR release will be issued to give an actual 'release' date for the single.

@10:54 That is how I am interpreting also. But after the announcement I think the release date will be shortly thereafter.It would be great if Adam could sing his new single on the X Factor finale and then on Dick Clark's New Years Eve!!!

A tweet on Adamtopia from Toby Napp 99.5 Not sure about the spelling He said the single is mid tempo and really shows Adam's voice off. Well that's different than what we have been hearing about it being really dancey. Just glad it will showcase his voice. Can someone bring over the link to the article, have to run to an appt. and late already. Glitzlady where are you?

ADAM LAMBERT: New Song Is Mid Tempo, Showcases His Voice

"So... here's what I can tell you about the new ADAM LAMBERT song...
It's mid-tempo. It really showcases his vocal ability. I heard it over the phone earlier today, and if you're expecting more of a club banger, this won't be it. Think WDYWFM and not IF I HAD YOU. It's really well done and radio types will say that we need a listen or two before we decide where it should live on stations across the country.
The thing is that the song really -- really -- does show off his singing ability. He's got a voice. He's not screaming, or wailing... he is showing the world he can really sing on this song.
The label asked me not to say the name of the single and they've asked me to not speculate on release date since the plans are literally changing daily at times. That being said, it should be out via digital release before Christmas, and I bet that in addition to Adam's tweets, you'll see official news from the label about the new CD and single from the label in the coming days. "

The DJ also said he can not say the name of the single. Why not when Adam told us already Better Than I Know Myself. Confusing,but hopefully we here from Adam soon!

Thank you @Glitzlady! Do you feel a bit confused too. Didn't someone say it was uptempo and a club type song that sounded like it would go to the top 40 stations. Now they are saying they don't know which type of station it should be played on. I feel like I don't know what to expect but I know I will love it. Adam showing off his VOCALS!!!

WOW! Add me to the confused group! Thanks Glitzylady once again for bringing us the most recent info. Could it be that the 1st single won't be BTIKM? Maybe they've changed their minds? We did hear the first single was "club ready and get ready to dance". Mid tempo sounds like something different to me. Well one thing for sure, we'll hear more detail this week. So Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Toby Knapp just tweeted the single is Better Than I Know Myself. found info on Adamtopia. I do see this being more midtempo than a fast beat dance song It iw probably going to appeal to the masses and his vocals are front and center. The next single release will probably be more upbeat and funky even.I think Adam's album is going to be a mix which is why it will be great and never boring where all songs sound the same!!!

If this new single is a mid-tempo and if it does really awesome on the charts then the top 40 stations will play the heck out of it like they are doing it with Adele's songs and Bruno's songs. I am hoping that it will be an epic song cause I want to hear it on 102.7 KIIS FM in the morning Seacrest to play it and JoJo to play it in the evening here in L.A. area.

I always loved Dick Clark's American Bandstand growing up and I was really bummed when he was cancelled off of DC's New Year's gig. I'm hoping in this new cd era for Adam that another situation changes and Adam is welcomed on Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve show. All the pop stars go on there and it is fitting for Adam to sing his new song there too. My hubby has off work for once on New Year's Eve and we can bring in the New Year with Adam. (Crossing fingers that this comes true)!

Thank you @Glitzylady for sharing the news about Roger Taylor's interview. I am so excited that Roger and Brian want Adam to perform with them again. Their performance together was rock magic. Wouldn't it be something if while Adam was on tour in England, Brian and Roger made a special appearance...hint, hint to the rock gods.

Simon Cowel was at the EMA show. After Adam sang with Queen, I'll bet he said to himself, "I want Adam in X-Factor grand finalle show,IF I can get him. It may be too late, bcause of everyones schedules, but it should bring in millions more people to tune in.
