Good to know Adam and Sauli don't need to hold hands all the time. lol

As much as I want Adam to soar to the top of the charts with his unbelievable voice and talent. But watching him perform with Queen it's like a perfect perfect fit. Adam's EMA performance with Queen created more buzz than other artists' performances that night. Remember Adam's name wasn't even mentioned before/during the show. But his name was written as headline of all news outlet. Wish Adam all the best for 2012.

One more reason to celebrate Adam's birthday! What great news! 2012 is THE YEAR OF ADAM LAMBERT! Bring on the Queen!

So great to hear this! But can you imagene how fast the tickets will sell out with both Queen fans and Adam fans wanting to see them! That should be "the ticket" of the decade, well at least for me!!!!! Loved the holding hands remark - hope some of the fans that dont seem to be able to separate these 2 will take heed and back off with their constant "Where's Sauli" question. ... Adamluv

What a dream come true for Adam. Making his new amazing album and I feel it will do great with all the comments by those who have listened to songs on it. To top it off doing some performances with Queen! He must have to pinch himself once in a while. The best of both worlds!!!

I've always loved Queen and I love Adam, then Adam + Queen collaborations is PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like something is being planned...There have been some very broad hints about Queen performing at the Olympics this summer in London. That would be the ultimate platform for Adam to show literally billions in the world what he can do. And it would definitely help to bring him many new people who would become curious and interested in his own music. I see it being nothing but a giant win.

And I'm with @Adamluv, I would do just about anything to get hold of a Queen/Adam Lambert concert ticket...and I think a lot of other people would do the same to see Queen in concert...and Adam would be the beneficiary of all that exposure. Remember, they aren't talking a lot of dates...perhaps a few..so Adam could concentrate on his own music and tour as well..I am truly hoping this association with Queen happens for Adam.. Indeed a dream come true.

A B S O L U T E L Y !! on all counts! Even on Adam & Sauli holding hands lol.

glitzy... WOW!!! THAT would be incredible, love your idea. I was hoping for a sneek attack for the upcoming Grammys, like the EMAs... (we didn't hear about that till the last minute) BUT, the OLYMPICS... WORLD stage... OMG that would be awesome!!!

As long as we're "wishin n hoping n
dreamin n praying....could a few of you throw in a teensy suggestion that one of Queen's songs could be Freddie's "Don't Stop Me Now"! I watch it daily and picture Adam struttin and stomping.

Perfection! :)

Well while we are talking about wish list for Queen songs - Days of our Lives would be good oh and of course Bohemian oh and and.. the list goes on. Of course first need is to make his mark more as his own frontman especially in UK. I am praying he makes it much bigger here this time around.

The Adam/Queen performances will be those rare, utterly special, highly anticipated gems that so many people will look forward to. He's made his mark with Brian and Roger and these special shows will give Adam even more respect and credibility. Can't wait for the first one!

Queen and Adam. Absolutely brilliant decision to continue to do special appearances with Queen. I love that Brian and Roger who were so close to Freddie feel Adam is a perfect fit for them and their legendary songs. Adam can have his solo career and work with Queen on guest spots. I was so hoping this would happen. We can all look forward to rocking with Queen and popping with Adam in his solo career. It is so amazing that Adam is so talented to pull both genres off so easily. Starting to hear his single on radio and with RCA's push in a couple of days I think it will be a very welcome change to the blah same old boring pop music lately. Adam you are definitely soaring in 2012.

Ooh...Adam did not seem too pleased when they said Queen could be his backup plan! That was worded rudely!

Just thinkin

You don't suppose that perhaps, maybe, Queen who have written some of the best songs ever...might have a song tucked away that they might just want to introduce to the world here in their golden years......you know "Queen presents their new hit______featuring Adam Lambert"?

Just thinkin...

Oooooo, I like the way you think, JAK! My mental picture was Adam in a fedora, with that lop-sided snarl thing goin' on, sneering out the words to "Another One Bites The Dust"! And wouldn't it be cool if they slipped in of the more rock-type Adam songs (he says they are there) from the new album during said concert!

A new song with Adam and Queen???? Just the thought of it will keep me fantasizing all night,,,,,,,

The Glamberts will be buying out those Olympics tickets for, is it closing ceremonies? I don't recall anything other than the head guys from the Olympic Committee giving their blurb and then each country walking through with all of their olympians during opening ceremonies.
Gosh, that would be so amazing to see Adam up there in front of the world! Talk about exposure!

Anonymous said...

OMG it's gotta be the Olympics!! Holy cow, can you imagine the press, publicity, n exposure he'll get!!

Would luv a surprise Queen n Adam performance at this year's Grammys, but not holding my breath. We all know how the US music awards shows are, same old performers yawn...

Oh well, just so happy it sounds like something's really in the works! Sounds more real hearing it from the man himself!!

@Daydreamin
They have some amazing entertainment during opening ceremonies too...Of course it is speculation that Adam would sing with Queen at the Olympics, but at least one remaining Queen member talked about the possibility that they will perform..And we know how they LOVE Adam..And since they are "in talks" about other gigs, it would make sense that Adam would be a very safe bet to appear with them...But you know how these things work..The most logical choice isn't always the one that is made...I truly hope it happens...because AWESOME doesn't even begin to describe this if it comes to pass. As Adam says "WOAH!" (his spelling of course!)

daydreamin said...

@Glitzylady, ok, wasn't sure about opening ceremonies. Yes, it would be EPIC at either opening or closing ceremonies to see Adam perform with Queen. Please let it happen! It really makes a whole lot of sense given the response from Belfast performance!

Huge fan of Adam being at the Olympics - that is one of the world's biggest audiences and would be so good for his career.

BUT, I am selfish and want more than one song. If they could just do one concert together I will fly wherever and pay whatever to see it.

So happy this took precedence over the F incident as an interview question. THIS is a much better recurring question, as long as the phrase "back-up plan" is banned.

Anonymous said...

6:04, I truly don't think the person who made that comment about Queen being Adam's "back-up" really meant it to be mean. I think she just spoke off the cuff. I don't think she realized how it sounded. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt on that one. As usual, Adam handled it well.

Watching "Queen" on BIO.....Love Freddy . .Adam is no Freddy Mercury. . .Adam is as good (if not better)then Freddy ....but what sits Adam apart is that he is "Adam" his own style and he enchances Queen.....Freddy is gone and Adam honors him.
But I want Adam to have his own legendacy.
Keep your eye on the brass ring BB with a little "Queen" mixed in.. . .but you already know this this . .LOVE AND LIGHT

Sorry . .legacy

Also watching Queen BIO......I can see what Adam sees in Freddie....the music...sexiness....positive atitude...caring...living life to the fullest.....creative....the music must go on.....

Anonymous said...

I agrees with the comment that Adam probably did not care for the comment of Adams back up plan. Queen is an older band(greatness) however tribute would be Adams game not replacement. He has his own career. Let's enjoy the next 20 years with him as the new talent. Freddie is gone now and can't we just enjoy Adam on his own merit. Even Freddie would want that for Adam and so would Queen.

I would love to see Adam perform with Queen at the Olympics which is watched worldwide and would give him great exposure. KLM

Having Adam sing with Queen occasionally would be so great. Adam is brilliant. To do both - his music career and also perform once in a while with Queen! That is huge. Brings in fans from all over. And frankly I was disappointed about him not singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl but this would make up for that. Plus, I am not watching the Grammys unless Adam is on the red carpet. If Adam isn't there, I have little interest in any musical event.
Oops, I digressed. I am glad it was Adam's decision to do both and try to fit it all into his busy schedule in 2012 - but it is Time For Miracles.
