I like this interview
Silly, off-beat interview...enough with the gay-straight stuff already and the bar fight in Finland. Finally they get to talk about the album and its content. Even with all the crazy stuff going on there, Adam is still personable, charming, and easy-going. How does he do it, all these promos and questions and performing two or three songs. But, yes, it is Adam and he handles it all so well. Bravo!
I liked everything but the joking with accent part, perhaps I'm oversensitive but I didn't think that was funny and I doubt Adam did either. The song was impeccable. HOW DOES HE DO THAT?
I hope all these DJs on this promo tour are realizing what an incredible talent and PERSON Adam is and are rewarding him with some good radio play and verbal promo on the air. We have to assume that all these DJs are not necessarily mega-fans of Adam and don't really know what he is capable of. He's doing his best to show them. This interview was lots of fun and Adam can deal with the gay humor just fine, thank you very much. I think if it went too far, he'd be able to deflect it. He's a pro. He knows he's always going to be asked gay-related stuff, so he's ready for it. He is so quick-witted and can dish it out as well as take it. And the performance, well, what else can be said? Close up, live, acoustic, and as stunning a voice as has ever been heard. Love how the one guy acknowledged this.

Yes he can deal with gay humor but I thought he didn't appreciate the fake, very poor, attempt to sound Finnish, that was a poke at Sauli.
They were a fun group and made the interview interesting. I just saw Adam's schedule on another thread, I hope he paces his voice, that's alot of singing and talking coming up.
I'm gonna end up having a 100 versions of BTIKM on my ipod!! I just can't help myself from downloading one after another saying, YES! that`s better than the other one! When I heard him sing it for the firts time at Leno, I thought WOW! not easy to top that! BUT he did it just 2 days later at Ellen, he's truly an AMAZING singer and even better person. He handle this "interview" really well. You're the best BB!!

toi ukko ei oo kyllä eläissään varmaan kuullukaan suomen kieltä..:P
You said it!
@DRG
I totally agree with you..Adam can take what they dish out and give it back, appropriately, charmingly and always with a mega-watt smile. He is truly a pro. I didn't think the Finnish bit was so funny personally. Adam's version this time of BTIKM was absolutely gorgeous (I mean it always is but even more to me this time). How does he keep his focus so well...first he's talking, then there's a little off-handed humor that he has to get past, and then perform! Perfectly. Then back to talking again. He is simply amazing. I hope they realize the magnificent talent and person he is. I read somewhere that it's the Program Director,I think, that determines which songs get spins not only the DJ. Does anyone know if that's true?
CT
CT, I think you're right. I've also been hearing that it's the progra directors, not the DJs, who determine which songs get played. I also think that the "Swedish" accent thing was a little low-brow, but not intended to be malicious;it was just a mis-guided attempt at humor. Oh well.
I just read on Adambertdaily that Adam sang Cuckoo in Vail. Hope we hear it! Maybe it's the next single! He keeps saying how much he loves the song and how kick-ass it is!
DRG
Finnish here. I don't think the interview hurt Sauli, or anyone. We are able laugh at ourselves too. we're not that serious people.
@CT - dont think you saw my comment after the Grammys about Adele having thanked all the music programmers (not the DJs) for playing her music thus making the songs so popular. And that girl outta know!!!!! Think the DJs are probably much cooler than the "suits" in the backroom controlling everything. But it's difficult for me to believe that Ryan Seacrest as a DJ doesnt have a voice in what gets played on his station? ... Adamluv
This is the Finnish sisu (perseverance)

Too bad the program directors as well as the dj's don't sit in and listen to Adam speak and sing! The first time I watched the interview I was a bit annoyed but less so the second time. Adam is a class act!
They don't have the whole interview on hear. I listened to it this morning and Kidd was asking Adam how it was to have fans like us, because there are very few people that have the diehard fans like the glamberts. Adam said it was amazing and he knew we always had his back.
Enjoyed the interview - parts were dumb but who cares? Thought the "Swedish sounding" accent was hysterical and Adam always down-to-earth and going along with the vibe. That has to ingratiate him to these DJs who always go for the laugh and cheap shot sometimes. And his singing of BTIKM was impecciable as always. ... Adamluv
I posted on another post awhile back, but yes, I facebooked my morning DJ (Sandy Stec, the blond who interviewed Adam from Mix 106.5 from San Francisco) and she is the one who told me that it was the Program Director who made the call on what was going to be "in the rotation".
@DRG, I want to compliment you. I always enjoy your posts! You know how to explain things so eloquently. Thank you!
Pic #1 . . .NICE PANTS!!!!!!
Nice job, but why doesn't Tommy Joe accompany Adam ?
I never cared or understood until now how songs get played on the radio (over and over mind you) Who picks these? whose responsible? and why does the most talented singer on the planet have to fight so hard just be heard? It's like certain artists have a complete pass as soon as they release thier new single, it's played constantly!!! does adam's management have something to do with this? Do you have to be the a-lister artist now a days to even get yopur music played, even if if sucks- it's played.
After watching the KiddKraddick interview another 4 times (LOL!) I gotta admit I did see some humor there, in fact I was really laughing out loud. I just couldn't keep my eyes off of Adam, his facial expressions, his coolness, quick remarks and above all his laugh! You just gotta love him to pieces xoxo
CT
@Adamluv
Sorry I didn't see your comment before about the PDs. Adam/RCA must know about this...I wonder if Adam is introduced to the PDs before or after the interview with the DJs? I sure hope so if this is what it takes to get the artists' songs played.
CT
I am a bit confuse...
I thought Adam would be today in this Radio (106.1 KISS FM)... but I see Adam is with the same clothes he wore yesterday? LOL... then has Adam performed yesterday or today????
In calendar evetns the date for this radio was today!
daydreamin, Hey, it's just nice to know that a couple of us are really on the same wave-length!
DRG
When Adam said he made out with girls in the car, Bravo for him to experienced the fun and being a teenager indeed!!
He is very sport and he knows how to take the interview to the next level.
Well done Adam you are truly inspirational to everyone of us....

I dont understand why he keeps saying everyone knew he was gay.
Everyone did not know Adam is gay.
Believe that Adam.
Liked this interview. If anyone knows Adam, they have to know he has a great sense of humor and loves to joke right along with people. This was not being cruel at all.
Open season, oh how funny is that. He's made out with girls, its no secret and he plainly likes to talk about it, its great.
The Finnish speaking was hilarious and I doubt very much Sauli would be insulted, good grief give these guys credit.
How he got past that humor and then got right into his vocals, pure professionalism.
Light hearted and fun, I laughed right along with all of them.
Relax as Adam says and enjoy the ride.
love Kevin smiling away.
hey Adam Lambertpants!
I never knew ADAM was gay before everyone started asking him the same question over & over. His sexuality didn't cross my mind at all ... all I knew was that he's a Beautiful young man with a Glorious Voice that gives me goosebumps everytime I hear him sing ... sometimes the tears would fall & I was just swept away by his Awesome-ness!! THAT's ALL that ever mattered to me!! I've always LOVED him for who he is ... NOTHING else matters!! Tomorrow I'll be 75 yo & I am so Thankful that I was able to know such PERFECTION ... if only from a distance!! Thanx for sharing with me dear fellow Glamberts <3<3 Love 'n Light ...

I have to say, I thought the interview was funny, silly yes in parts, but funny...a group of people just sitting around being goofy. There was only one comment that it seemed Adam was a little upset about, and that referred to Whitney Houston. The rest of it was just what you might hear from a bunch of friends chatting..
Adam was great as usual, fielding the questions and comments with his usual gracious good humor, sharp wit, and honesty.
And....I LOVED this rendition of "Better Than I Know Myself". Will have to search around for a download. Goosebumps. Beautiful. Perfect.
**Finally starting to get caught up here..Was traveling the last week and then lost my "smart phone" on the flight home, (which proves that I'M not smart..)..Hasn't turned up so had to order a new one..
For those of you interested in the radio, Adams single is still making progress, albeit slowly. It got another 8 adds this week, 1 on Canada HAC, 5 on HAC and 2 on CHR/POP.
Didn't think this was the best interview, Kidd Kraddick looks wasted. BTIKM was beautiful.
and @anon 6.05
I think he was referring to his family and friends saying that they already knew he was gay before he actually came out at 18, not the rest of the world.
glitzylady sorry to hear about you loosing your phone, you must have felt lost w/o it.
agree with your comments about this interview, it was light, funny and had me giggling left and right.
Adam seems to like a good time just as the next guy does, no worries here fans.
