Free downloads don't count for Adam? Or do they? I don't think so. Does it help Adam when we get free downloads? Just wondering.

I want people to buy this great song. Free downloads don't count for the charts. Nice thing to do for the fans but everyone needs to purchase Adam's art to make it count in other important ways.

The same thing has been going through my mind, why freee downloads? Maybe to get album sales.
Any ideas anyone?

I don't have the foggiest why they are doing this but there has to be a favorable angle to it or they wouldn't do it. Would they?

There are two MP3 downloading charts- top 100 paid and top 100 free
NCOE is #313 on top 100 paid and #73 on top 100 free.
I prefered to buy it.

The song only costs $1.29 to buy it ... don't see why the freebie!
I bought it as soon as it became available ... I want the sales to count for ADAM ....

All I can say is I'm just not going to get upset about none of these radio stations never playing our boys songs!! They just don't, I have sirrus radio even with all the lastest hits I've never heard BTIKM or NCYO ever!!! I just hear the same crap over and over. Now chris brown his brand new song out today well I heard it every 15 minutes. I give up!!! I love adam and I buy all he does, I come here, been to GNT 3 times,vote on every pole, I will support him 4-ever ,I just am not going to stress out anymore because the dj's and music industry is so F--Ked up. I'm done with them and listening to crappy music waiting for adam to be played- it just doesn't happen ever! I will be a fan forever without him on the radio- Wish these dj's could really hear how we feel about them and thier poor choices of so called crap today they play over and over!!! I'm done . Sorry for venting glamberts, but my fingers are worn out trying to find adam on the radio and I just can't take it anymore!

@tess4ADAM Thank you for the link. Underneath is my favorite song from Tresspassing. It reminds me Soaked from FYE. Both of these songs are fantastic.

I agree with you too. I get so frustrated not hearing Adam on the radio. Here in L.A. it's really rare to hear him. WWFM I did hear. I never heard IIHY, BTIKM and not yet NCOE (although I'm still hoping for this one). It's still early for NCOE because there hardly have been any adds yet on the radio stations.

Maroon 5s Payphone was released on the 17th and went to #1 on iTunes and there it stays. What will it take for Adam to get played????

WTH are they playing at? It's not free. In any case, I'd prefer to buy NCOE and all of Adam's CDs.

It's strange that the song was just released and now it's Free? My guess is NCOE did so badly on the charts because so few fans downloaded it.

I'm really starting to think his fan base has dropped off because his singles don't chart very high. OR giving these songs away with a purchase of Trespassing keeps them from charting higher.

The only way to know How many fans in the US are still on board will be a week after Trespassing is released and the sales figures come out. Adam also has a fan base overseas and Canada.

The radio program directors and DJs need to listen to the whole album in order to get a perspective. We can request many songs from the album, not just the current single.

I don't get the Chris Brown thing. I guess his fans like songs that all sound the same.

Adam will not give up. He needs a breakthrough single that the radio peeps cannot ignore. Probably won't be NCOE. Maybe the video will help. All this being said, Adam's fanbase is quite large and still very passionate. We won't abandon him. Lots of singers would kill to have as many fans as he does. His AI performance will boost sales.

When the sales numbers come out after the album release, All pre-sales, etc. are counted in, right?

@10:55pm - Payphone was debuted on the Voice this past Monday night, and there are a lot of Adam Levine and Maroon 5 fans. Adam's time is coming! Don't fret.

Since there seems to be some confusion... if you use the code to download for free, you're apparently taking advantage of that fact that an Adam Lambert fan pre-paid for multiple "gift" downloads. If someone purchases extra copies of a song as gifts but the recipients never use their credits to download the song, will those advance purchases still be counted as sales? Although I don't know the answer, it's possible that in terms of sales tracking, by using the credit to download for free you would effectively be purchasing the song.

I have the same frustrations as other post today. i listen to sirius radio and keep hoping to hear his songs. NCOE is a fantastic song for right now. I do not understand why they don't play it! I go to Sirius my hit1 sit and write in Adam lambert NCOE and vote for him 4-5 times a day. I would go to other radio sites but never really figure it out!

Yah! I think you're racking up a purchase. Go for it! I'm in Canada and don't think it applies. Surely, if they can't give it away for free it doesn't look good. So push up those numbers. I'll check Amazon Canada just in case.

So these free downloada are the result of purchases that had free downloads attached to them, but were never used? And now they can be used and they "count?" Sounds odd, but if it's true, then I say GO FOR IT. I wish this could be better explained and confirmed.

As I see it, this is a win-win situation. When someone buys a bulk of Adam's cds, sales are made; Money/credits must count because goods are already paid for. Now why do I say it's a win-win...Adam gets the money, credits, sales counts etc.; at the same time Amazon gets lots of new buyers who may eventually become permanent regular customers. Doesn't matter who buys or gets them, bottom-line...Adam gets everything and Amazon says, the more the merrier. Just my thoughts. :)

It's seems that NCOE is doing much better on amazon top 100 charts. So far, NCOE is #136 on top 100 paid ( if you remember, it was #313 just yesterday) and #53 on top 100 free! Go, Glamberts! Lets buy NCOE from Amazon.

To add to my above thoughts, one more very important factor is, people who are not likely to buy Adam songs, might just hop onto our crazy train; why not...it's a free ride. There is the catch, that benefits NCOE. And before these good happy free riders know it, they may not want to get off the Adam train! LOL! Look what happened to us! Yea marvellous sales strategy. Just my thoughts. :)

@Lam-my that was a good point- but how will they know to download for free unless they are following adam? Anyway Yeah- heard adam on sirus 20 on 20 twice today- he is number #17. The downside if you could hear what was #16 and so forth all the way to number 1, I was like WTF?? Adam's was soooo much better! At least he charted I guess. I have to say I love that new band Goyte however, "somewhat like you" I think? awesome song! I'm finally hooked on someone I like (adele also) of course no one tops BB yeah, there is a ray of hope in this music industry today lol

I've already BOUGHT NCOE ... first day it was released ... will I be able to get the free download ... it's already in my Amazon account history?? They always notify me when I make a second purchase (I'm always downloading ADAM's music several times to give him the sales ... (what's a buck? IMO) ... I'm a member & I post on Amazon ADAM forums too. What do you Glamberts think I should do? ..~~thanx~~
