out of subject. The sales are slow down! Already!!! This isn't good.Just checked Itunes and Amazon! Can't believe that Adele still sells more albums per day that Adam on amazon! Itunes doesn't look so bad at Pop. Cause AI released yesterday's perfomances album.
Can't believe, Tresspassing will not get #1 on Billboard next week. hopefully Adam's performance on AI today will bring TP back on Itunes and amazon sales charts. But TP and Runnin are doing very good as singles

Grammy and Emmy award-winning artist and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) equality Cyndi Lauper joined the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and more than 130 Federal agencies, programs, and National organizations in celebrating the seventh annual National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. This year, the national event focused on youth who have experienced a traumatic event and the caring adults who have helped them be resilient.

“Young people unfortunately experience trauma every day, but they are resilient and can recover if we provide them the support that they need,” said Lauper. “In particular, homeless gay and transgender youth face unique challenges, like family rejection, and they inspire me with their honesty and bravery to do all that I can to help them overcome those adversities and succeed in life.”

Lauper served as honorary chairperson of the “Heroes of Hope” tribute program held at The George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius presented an award to Lauper for her work on behalf of homeless LGBT youth through her foundation, the True Colors Fund. The True Colors Fund is set to expand its efforts with its newest initiative this June, a national program to raise awareness of the many issues impacting homeless LGBT youth, who account for 20-40 percent of the homeless youth population. The goal of the initiative is to bring an end to the growing epidemic of youth being thrown out of their homes or running away because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. She is also the co-founder and Honorary Chairperson of the True Colors Residence, a project that provides permanent and supportive homes to homeless LGBT youth in New York City.

Cant help but smile when I read her drag name - Pollo del Mar since that means Chicken of the Sea (for those fans outside the USA that might not know that). BTW - finally got to Target today and bought 2 more Deluxe albums for $12.99 each (already had 1 that had been shipped). The going price for all the albums in the new release section was between $11.99 (Carrie U.) and $13.99. There were 3 deluxe when I left and 6 of the regular ones which were $9.99. Best of all as I was looking at the CDs BTIKM was blaring from the loudspeakers!!!!! Today on Fox News LA they showed promos for AI and each time mentioned special guest performance by Adam! Also the electricity went off this a.m. and the only thing I immediately thought off was "Oh, please universe dont let me miss Adam tonite". I KNOW WHAT'S IMPORTANT IN LIFE (LOL). . . . Adamluv

Just read the comment above mine - have always loved Cyndi Lauper and know she's been a tireless supporter of the LGBT community. In her statement re: family rejection, recently read that 26% of teens telling their parents they were gay, are told to leave home. Will never understand how parents can react this way to their own child. It's shameful. . . . Adamluv

Adam could never and would never hide his sexuality.

As for sales, I think we need to look at the big picture. Adam is not mege enough to out-sell or out-last Adele, Gaga, etc. on the charts. Itunes, etc. At least not now. I think sales overall will be very good, esp. with international sales totals that will come as the album is released world-wide. This album is a big step forward to Adam and should help give his more cred and respect in the business. AI should give him a bump. If we keep worrying about every chart every day, we'll go crazy. Keep calm.

I meant "mega." The fact that he has made it to #1, even for a short time, has brought attention to him by a much larger audience. It's hard to do, but he did it. All we can do is keep the flame burning. Overseas fans are important, too.

Cleaned out a Target today!!! Today's fav song is Kickin In but I think the new single should be Shady. Don't understand how they pick the singles - the one's they chose were eeeeh - compared to some on the final album. I would not want to see Underneath released as a single. It is exquisite, deeply personal, vocally stunning and I would hate to see it snorted at and snarked about on radio stations. It should be a personal gift and treasure to all who actually purchased the album........

cuz we love him SO much!!

YES he is gay but has admitted to having sex with a woman. I wonder why this woman isn't making money off of his name with her tell all story. It could be a good read.

he told RS he was bicurious and he told RS he has had sex with a woman/women. I get he is gay, but why mention the sexcapades with women if you are a out and proud gay man???? what is the need????

@ 12:42 pm

Why do you care? Adam has joked he'll try anything once. Well, he did. Notice who he lives with. Not a woman!
Must not have impressed him much and if I'd been the woman who failed to "turn" him, I'd keep my mouth shut.

12:42 because he was doing the interview, not you. It's his story to tell.

I don't have to keep my mouth shut smart ass. you hear me????? Adam Lambert shouldn't talk about bedding women if he is a proud gay man. Oh he must have wanted it or he wouldn't have tried it out. oops

Anonymous said...

He must have had some interest in the female or he wouldn't have tried it out. His curiosity was getting the best of him and he will go back for more. mmmmmmmmmmmm

Doesn't he live with a man and woman? I thought he lived with women before in an apartment before Idol?

at 1:28 Precious? I like that!

We all know that Adam answers the questions he is asked. That he sometimes tells more than he needs to is very true. But that's why we love him, isn't it? The man is gay, he lives with Sauli not Sally. For pete's sake, some of you have to give him a break and stop all this shit.

I'm only here in Canada for a visit. As soon as I read here yesterday, I went to HMV at Queen's West by subway (have to learn how ASAP) to pick up ADAM's Trespassing which I've already ordered in US, so I can get the pass for the M & G on the 28th here since I will still be here.
I got two of the De Luxe which was at C$14.99 each(reg is $12.99). The clerk said that since I bought over $20, I may get Carrie Underwood's Blown Away for only $9.99. Well, I just said "Sorry I'm not into country."
so I guess this is how Carrie is getting more sales.

12:07- I agree completely with your thoughts regarding the release of "underneath".It is gorgeous, but should be kept as a gift for those who really care enough for his music to have bought the album. Every song is terrific on that album!!

I agree with Adam that it wouldn't have been his way to hide his sexuality. You could see it already frustrated him pretty early on. I admire that in him.
