I love that last sentence on the article. So true, adam is too good but I have my doubts that the pop industry will ever catch on- not with the music that's out there today iMO

Another great review! Also I like that it featured in newspaper. It gives Tresspassing more publicity!

Strange feeling...but I think NCOE is going to make a splashing grand entrance on AI; Just listened to it along with Shady, a favourite of mine and other brilliant Trespassing songs. NCOE is giving them a run for their money though the poll doesn't reflect it that clearly. It indeed is the dark horse! Broken English is creeping in slowly as well, a very soft sensitive song, almost like he is talking to his beloved one. Shady is a good third single, suits Adam's persona to a T. :)

Hold it. was I reading a review about a million other artists or Adam! Ha! OMG there's only one Lambert and if you're not feeling him, you have lost your bloody gourd!

@anon 10:33PM What are you talking about?
Anyway, this review is fabulous. One of the best reviews I read in few days.

Adam's gonna SHINE!! always will!!!

Sorry for asking ,is it true RCA dropping Adam ?

Anonymous said...

@anon 11:15PM Where did you hear about it?

@11:15 of course not but the haters are spreading so many rumours. I saw other idol haters proposing to go buy Carrie Underwood's album just to knock Adam off the top. RCA know they have a one of a kind talent on their hands and they would be foolish to let him go.

I'm loving all the positive reviews...People Mag have given him 4/4 stars!!!!!! Too bad their rating is not included in Metacritic but they have a very wide readership so YAY!!

Anonymous said...

Well Said!!! Not easy to please the 'POP' sounds nowadays. But Adam really is 'ORIGINAL' and that's talent!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

not that anyone cares but I have narrowed my faves on TP down to OOL and Runnin. Now I feel betterer.

Twitpic of People Magazine Mini- Review of Trespassing: couldn't find it on People.com yet...but 4 out of 4 Stars is awesome!!

Really good review 4 and a half out of 5 stars.. I have to say I don't agree 100% with everything said in it but..overall, an excellent review..

From Evoke Online:

Adam Lambert's "Trespassing" A Track by Track Review"

(The final paragraph says it all...)

"Trespassing is a phenomenal, near perfect release from American Idol’s best contestant. Let’s be honest, the show has never been the same since he left. The sophomore album is better than Lambert’s debut in almost every way. I wish there was a little bit more glam and glitter, songs like “Fever” and “If I Had You”, but I can see an artist growing in the right direction. This dance, funk sound fits the singer’s personality and vocal ability. Adam shows off the power he has and will go down as one of the greatest male vocalists to ever grace a stage. Forget his personal life, what his sexual orientation may be, and focus on the fantastic music. Trespassing deserves all the praise it’s been getting."

Where is Sauli? He seems to have gone underground for the last 2 weeks.Hope he is OK.

Anonymous said...

Sauli - at home maybe? I saw his (Finnish newspaper) internet blog 11th May, he had some friends visiting in LA. He should be in AI live show today. But no other clue...

I find myself seriously addicted. It's not just Adams albums, but I need my daily dose of his live performances ;) The bookmark library in my computer is starting to be quite large, I save the best performance videos and watch them again and again :) Anyone else having the same symptoms? Do I need some treatment or therapy ;)?

@11:15

Someone has misunderstood the SIRIUS conversation from yesterday, or some other source: Lee DeWyze, Idol's 9th Season Winner, was dropped by RCA. He barely sold any records at all.

SS

Anonymous said...

yes - Lee Dwyze dropped.

Crystal Bowersox was really great, she's doing some stuff, but I would have loved to see her get the push of an Idol winner, she's really got something special I think.

oh well. Glad Adam has what it takes to make his own way, despite other various industry support, like radio.

I LOve this album and it was worth waiting for! I just exercised to the album---great!
TRY IT!

@MotoMoto
Thanks for that Idol news. How evil are some people that they'd buy Carrie Underwood's album just to prevent Trespassing from being #1. That's absolutely shameful. I'd never do that. I'd never even think of doing that, and what a waste of money. Yep, they're evil.

The reviews have been 1,000,000,000,000 to the good as compared to a handful of not good. I can handle a few not-so-good reviews. It seems tht more and more reviewers are finally "getting it" and seeing in Adam what we have always seen. Hope Shady is the next single.

Went to my Target Store last night to buy me some more deluxe CDs and only one left. Asked the salesperson if they had more and she said they were all sold out. Hope RCA will keep them stocked! Going back this weekend to see if more have arrived..

Wtf? My Trespassing box set is here. Why didn't someone prepare me for how nice it was going to be? Move over Glam Box. lol

Anonymous said...

Please do not forget to keep requesting NCOE on radio! It's so important to keep the song on the radio. It will determine if we get a third single. Request! Don't forget NCOE! I know we're so excited about TP, but we need to keep NCOE up there!

Can someone tell me why Trespassing isn't on the Billboard top 200 albums? I thought the rankings were based on sales.

Anonymous said...

Wilkes Barre, Pa. the Kirby Center, May 25th. I will be driving a long distance to see him but I am over the moon. He is without any doubt the best singer/performer in the universe.
He deserves the best of everything!!!

@ Anonymous May 17, 2012 7:27 AM

It will be on Billboard 200 soon. Just read article in blogosphere this morning. The tracking period for Adam's release ends this Sunday 5/20. The article was kinda of interesting, talked about how Adam's album may or may not debut at #1, article leaned a bit towards the negative actually, but only a bit, was trying to be accurate I think. Google it, sorry, I don't have time to post link :)

Oh heck Anonymous May 17, 2012 7:27 AM, I'm a true Glambert, I went and got the article for you :), here you go, now I got to go, lol:

I absolutely love this article. It strikes me, only from what I know as a consumer of what Adam has put into the public domain, as essential and bottom line Adam. It's all right there in this brief article.

(Hey Adamluv - sexy sexy BRAINS, right?!! :))

Thanks for posting that article! Its one of the best I've read...

Tresspassing isn't #1 on Itunes anymore. It lost on Pop to AI.this isnt' a big deal. But on music it lost to AI and Rize of the Fenix. It's gonna be the problem!

Anonymous said...

It's still #2 on I tunes!

To LN at 5:03am.....I also find myself seriously addicted to Adam Lambert's music, interviews and video performances. I have a number of the performances saved in my favorites and play them whenever I need an "Adam fix". I go back to the AI performances, the EMA show from Dublin with Queen and all the recent radio promos he did for the new album. I love the videos from the Jezebel party he did and then, of course, the Jimmy Kimmel show. I am on this site several times a day to see what is new and then add my comments when I feel like I need to say something. Right now I love Cuckoo and Underneath as my favorites. By tomorrow I am sure it will be something else. This album is so great that it is really difficult to stick with one or two as favorites. Can't wait to see Adam on AI tonight.I am certain it will be the highlight of the show.

Anonymous said...

It still shows Adam as #1 on the Itunes Albums charts.

@ MGF

Thanks for the link! I also read it with great admire. It really showed how deeply Adam is involved in this thing, and how devoted he is to his work. I really love that straightforward honesty, and his courage to take risks and put himself under critic. And we have seen the results :) With his attitude he'll win the respect of professionals in music industry.

@ Anon 11:53 AM,

you totally described my behavior and compulsory routines ;) I'll try to slow it down a little bit... Not so easy :) "Need an Adam fix"... - that was great :D

Can't wait for AI tonite...I actually feel nervous for Adam. I want him to blow the roof off the place! I love NCOE very much but my favs on Tsp change all the time. For ballads 'Underneath'first place, Broken English and OOL tied. For upbeat, dancy Shady, Kickin'In,Tsp. Runnin I loved from the first moment...I love hearing Adam sing in his low register voice and then soar up the scale. What a voice, unbelievable!

I'm sooo proud of him and his finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Now I'm going to try to get tix for the OC event. I saw him there last summer for the GNT.

Finally, someone gets it and finally a review mentions Running, which is worth mentioning for sure! Can't wait for tonight!!

@ 5:54 am re: Crystal Bowersox

JAK here....glad to know someone else thinks she's "got it". I could not believe dull dull Lee Dewyse received more votes. As soon as I heard Crystal I looked up old videos of her and was enchanted, even as a child she had that voice and she was a street and subway singer.

I love the song she wrote way before Idol "Put Your Guitar Down", naughty and sassy. And on Idol studio versions of Black Velvet and Summer Wind she was fantastic. She truly can sing any style. I hope someone recognizes that and gives her a boost.
