I've been listening to the whole record on Adam´s Official site and my new favorite song is Runnin' It´s fabulous. Love it!
I pre-ordered the Deluxe CD with the 15 songs just because of this song. I never get tired of it.

OT: Read this article

http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20594232,00.html?order=ASC&page=41#comment-app

Only put this here because adam has wonderful reviews except for this one (really bad) but the outporing of comments (100's of them) is awesome!

@anon 9:16PM Don't care about this article. I think this is only one negative review so far. So, what? There are still a lot of homophobics on this planet. Somebdy said that this writer needs bodyguard. I think she also needs bulletproof vest!

OT - but just saw that Adam tweeted he will be on Good Morning America on MONDAY!! Wow! And it only took them 3 years to forgive him .... :(

About the EW "Review":
Many many people have emailed the EW editorial board to bring their attention to the disrespectful and perhaps bordering on homophobic "review" of Trespassing, which actually sounded more like a "review" of Adam being gay...very snarky.. Obviously the "reviewer" had not done her homework to know what Adam has been doing the last 3 years, or the interpretation of his music...and the meanings and inspirations "underneath" the music AND the man..She actually called the more serious and heartfelt and deeply personal (and gorgeous) songs "laughable"..and made some other rude, disrespectful, and at the very least, clueless comments. Adam sort of laughed it off on Twitter..but the fans aren't laughing...My husband, who is an Adam fan as well, and who I always run things like this by, because he is (ahem..) slightly more objective than I am on occasion, was appalled when I read the review to him. The "review" had some positive comments in it..but they were overshadowed by the rest of it.. On a day that the President of the United States personally endorsed Marriage Equality, this review was so ridiculous, backward, and wrong on so many levels. I assume the writer was attempting to be clever but that didn't work out at all. I would hate to be her right now...Ouch!!

I know we "Glamberts' have a reputation of being fiercely defensive of Adam, and in this case, it is absolutely warranted. Its one thing to like or dislike the music, that's fair, but its another thing entirely to mock someone simply because of their sexual orientation. Unbelievable and sad.

Here's what I wrote to the reviewer at EW >

AMAZING STRATEGY TO DRAW VIEWERS! "HATRED TOWARDS LAMBERT",but you are too 2000 and late.We can't care less anymore...
Not that I thought you would be LESS RIDICULOUS, but your RIDICULOUSNESS HAS JUST HIT A NEW HIGH.I would have respected your "opinion" cos you're entitled to it but then again the slurs and rubbish you've put out there just sums up the meaning of your last name in my mother language:"SICK".

I'll prey for you, don't lose hope if it doesn't work. Some people just ain't worth it.

I'm out...

Hopefully GMA will not bring up AMA Awards.......we are way pass that and moving on.....
Just makes me so mad that we can't focus on this outstanding vocals.

Well I just posted my comments for EW. I could not believe what i was reading, she has every right not to like his music. But to personally attack him for being openly gay and saying his album is gay dance club music. Wow I can't believe that the editor let that article be published the way it was written.

@NKlovesAdam - so agree with your comments. I try and not get too upset when a reviewer doesnt like Adams music but this review is at an entirely different level of offensiveness. If she is willing to put these thoughts in print for the world to see, what must she say/believe when not in the public forum. Sad and pathetic woman and also all those who think as she does. . . . Woooo Melissa don't mess with Adam!

With 2 phone calls after I read her review, my army attacked.

Frances Lee ll:57 am

EW May I please apply for a job as you desperately need a new reviewer. Melissa is inadequate and a snake.

Connie Rae 2:08 am

Do I have this right? You are implying that classic rockers were straight? Let's see, let me start with Freddie Mercury, Bowie, Jagger__oh, wait, it is okay if I include all these bisexual guys?

Julie Lee 2:12 am

I forget Melissa, were you reviewing music or homophobia?

In only one minute and 12 seconds my BFFs were sniping away. I love my sassy friends! I'm Frances!

PLEASE read this well thought through complaint to EW magazine from a married straight male physician. It sums up all of our thoughts on that horrible review. He has cancelled his subscription because of it

That Melissa or whatever her name is messed with the wrong man. It seemed she had some issues with him and saw this as the perfect platform to bring Adam down a notch.

Here is the thing, at least PRETEND to be objective and talk about the album and music a bit. Mentioning Nile Rodgers who did not produce or write the album just showed she did not do her homework. She compliments Pharell yet completely fails to mention that Adam co-wrote all the songs they did together.

She writes off the second half of the album as laughable because he is talking about gay marriage??? Is that a laughing matter now. Then refers to Chokehold as an S&M type of song and its meant as a safeword...yeah because all gays are kinky and deviants. She doesn't bother to talk about brilliant songs like Broken English, Runnin, Nirvana, Underneath...I mean what kind of shit is that.

From her first line, I knew it was going to be bad...but not that bad. I went to town on that bitch and posted severally calling out her unprofessional behavior as well as contacted GLAAD to let them know what a homophobe she is.

I'm gonna dust the dirt off my shoulder and "Walk that walk like I don't give a f*ck" because Adam will receive far more positive and balanced reviews when the album drops.

Thanks daydreamin for that link. That letter was spot on. Will wait and see what happens- almost 1,000. pissed off comments.

GLAAD once compelled E! Daily 10 to issue an on-air apology to Mr. Lambert, and to fire Mike Catherwood for making homophobic jokes about Lambert. This happened as a result of GLAAD receiving a large number of complaints about the incident. Go to GLAAD's website at ****glaad.org, scroll down to the "report defamation here" link on the bottom right side of the home page. It's an online form. Quick and easy. Let GLAAD hear from enough of you about this EW review and they WILL take action.

I wrote two comments on the EW review. I can ignore a lot of drivel but as @adamluv said, that review was not a review at all. It was totally off base, focusing on Adam's "gayness", and was insulting to him and to me. I don't care so much whether she liked it or not (much..) but she missed the point completely of the music, Adam' s vision for the album...and was sarcastic and used stereotypes.

She made fun of his angst and vulnerability . She called his heartfelt emotion "laughable". She implied and on fact called the dance tracks "gay club songs" when in fact they are universally danceable for all clubs ... Her snide remarks which smacked of borderline outright homophobia was just too much to ignore. I will also be writing to the EW Editorial Board.

I saw the physician's letter last night. I follow his wife on twitter. She is also a physician and past moderator of Adam's fan club . I thanked them for sharing that.

We cannot always ignore the BS. As I like to say "silence is NOT always Golden. Adam deserves much better than that crap, and I intend to continue to speak out when I feel it can make a difference.

Anonymous said...

@ Glitzylady I also wrote 2 comments on EW review. Contacted them as well and sent a formal complaint. That physicians letter says it all.(bravo to that) I also e-mailed GLAAD. They (EW) still have done nothing and cannot believe this is going out on print the day after adam's idol performance.

Ok fans~ HELP me to decide which way to help Adam's ratings the best.......should i go out and buy Adam's new CD or download it from itunes??

Jadam NZ said...

donnaw. could you do both. If you can only afford one I dont think it makes much difference.

Anonymous said...

JAK here.......I'm going out on the 15th and buy a few of Adam's albums. For two reasons...1. I called our local Childrens Home and
found out they'd love to have some of Adam's albums for the teen girls and that will make my heart happy. 2. It will give me a feeling of Glamily closeness knowing that so many of us are doing the same thing on the same day and that will make my heart happy....<3 <3 <3

donnaw said...

Ok.......i'll buy both.......i'd LOVE to help him make his CD #1 !!!!!!!!
