We heard Adam say that he wanted to keep his individuality in making Trespassing, but still have songs on it that would be radio friendly. He has done everything possible to produce an amazing album and yet radio play seems to be sparse or none at all, at least here in the NYC/NJ listening area. I don't know what else he can do. Adam has gone nonstop with these mini concerts and radio promos for Trespassing and given countless interviews. Now he is traveling internationally as the album is released in other parts of the world. Sometimes I think the fans appreciate him more in other countries than they do here in the states. All I know is that Adam Lambert is the most talented, articulate, charming, honest person on the music scene today and I wish him nothing but success and happiness in his personal and professional life. Thank you Adam for letting us "trespass" into your life through your music.

WOW! Adam I have never heard so many you knows in one interview from you. You must be just wakeing up.

"Right now Haley and Kris are doing better than Adam on the HAC chart.
Haley fans are very active and radio smart when it comes to radio requesting, I'm beginning to think they're even more efficient now than Adam fans. I don't think Kris fans are as active as either Adam or Haley's, so Kris is doing relatively well considering."

That's from mjsbigblog about sales.

Please vote for Adam here. He is losing to Demi Lovato for the greatest fans.

I'm SURE that Adam just woke up in the early morn.for that interview.I was mostly listening about the same questions, etc that he's answered so many times..I did like it that they played some of Underneath, tho,I think,my fav.song...really didn't pay attention to much else.strange, huh??BB was very tired,& half asleep;may have partied a little last night, also.

i vote for adam lambert in this one.

3:28 is HAC chart the same as sales?

It is almost time to release a single with a great hook. Kicking in has a great hook. So do a few other tracks on the CD. I remember the gas Station attendant saying whatdaya want from me over and over again when the song first came out. This was said or sang to me when I went in to pay for gas. I recently forced my grown up to listen and watch adam perform above song and others from trespassing. She left the house saying to me she could feel it kickin in. A hook to remember also a great ring tone.

Adam's Trespassing digital album is on sale for $5.00 on Amazon and people are buying it like crazy. Moved up to no. 17. I just bought it cause it's cheap and it'll help Adam's album sales. You can get a copy here:

Good 'LAMBERT'! interview with all positive's.

3:28 it doesn't take any particular savvy to make radio requests. There are great tips that are given out on alot of Adam blogs I follow and that anyone can follow. They just don't play Adam's music. How WWFM became popular I'll never know. lol

@3:09
Your right, internationally Adam is
'appreciated', loved and adored with a passion! It's more out the box and people just want to embrace Adam. We cannot understand the lack of airplay in the US either and find it all frustrating. Even our favourite Glam Nation's were those overseas.

Now reduced price on the digital Trespassing album and also FREE
BTIKM downloads for those in the UK.

I forced my grown up daughter to listen to new album. She didn't like anything but Underneath and Outlaws of Love. On FYE she only liked Time for Miracles. Her comment "he's not a pop singer, he needs to realize that by now". "A great singer, but wrong music".

I think I agree with her. :(

I was in Target today, and just thought I would check to see if Adams cds were there. I couldn't find them , where I thought they would be on the end , under new releases. A lady working there asked if she could help me, so I asked her about Adams cds, she said they are over here on a side aisle, they are considered old now, they have been out for 2 weeks.

It is heart-breaking and exhausting being an adam fan! (would never give it up though) I think it is almost crimial how the radio doesn't play adam's music. He doesn't need a new single, they didn't even play the 1st two- yet every other artists gets thier shit played immediately. How in the world can he move up the charts if it's not HEARD? I will say I haven't heard haleys or kris songs either. OT: there are so many blogs about adam winning sexiest artist today some good and some real bad (Peris hilton of course and one from san francisco of all places- horrible comments. It's just so sad, america really is such a homophic country and its going to take one step at a time for him to get the reconzition he deserves. Hopefully this queen gig will wake up america but it's over there so people here won't know about it.

Well.
This thread is fairly pitiful. : /

@Anon 4:29 PM
HAC means Hot Adult Contemporary Music Stations..Its more general than Top 40 and plays a wider variety of music, including soft rock, classic rock, and some Top 40. New music and older music, a variety. HAC chart in this case is referring to the # of "Spins" a track gets..For instance "Never Close Our Eyes". Adam gets more spins on HAC than Top 40 apparently. And he also gets "adds" on HAC stations, which means he is added to the online request form.. and hopefully the station's playlist. My Top 40 KISS station has still not added any of Adam's music. But there are one or two local HAC stations who have added him.. Its complicated. Obviously. [Sigh]

7:30 you must be from Amherst Ohio. Adam's C/d's were placed on side aisle about two weeks ago and believe me there are many many older albums in the front. The WalMart in Lorain Ohio never got them in. When I asked the associate about it she said the distributors stock the shelves.

When I went to my walmart here in fla. 2 days after it came out the delux was sold out but the regular was all still there. They only had 10 of each how-ever.

To anon @ 7:25pm: If Adam is not a pop singer, then what is he? He's a great singer, but the wrong music. What do you think Adam Lambert should be singing then? Others say he is not a rock 'n roll performer. So what is he then in the music business? I don't get it. To me, he is the best talent in music today in comparison to most of the others out there who need auto tuning to sound like anything performing and couldn't sing a note on key without all the electronic additions used to record a single. I don't know what the answer is to Adam having his music played on the radio. Everyone has a different suggestion or comment, but what will it take for people to recognize this amazingly talented singer??? As someone previously stated, it is and exhausting and often heartbreaking being an Adam fan because we so much want for him the accolades and success he so deserves and it is frustrating to read crude, negative comments anywhere about him. But I will continue to be a fan and support Adam in all his musical choices.

You know... I have never heard as many "you knows" either in any interview that Adam has done. Usually he is quite articulate when he speaks although as with most people today he tends to overuse "like" which drives me nuts. As an English teacher, that's all I heard from my students in the classroom and when I pointed it out, they couldn't talk anymore because the word just is part of their language pattern. Have you ever listened tothe Kardashians? They are the biggest users of the word "like" as every other word in a sentence. Anyway, it must have been early in the morning. Adam sounded very nasal, maybe sleepy so he is forgiven. With the voice that he has, I would forgive him these language usage issues(which most people don't notice anyway), but if he wants to work on eliminating them, I am available for tutoring and private lessons.

Anonymous said...

At least Adam's every other word isn't facking.. :)

Anonymous said...

love adam but sooo tired of reading about what people think adam should do or sing that he is not now doing. is this typical fan behavior? so much nitpicking

Anonymous said...

I read on threads on sites that say Adam's radio play is actually doing pretty well. Better than previously. He gets played. I don't know what to do to improve it. Request, I guess. And keep him in the public eye. It's hard.
I'm sure there will be a third single.

Adam did it his way. He has a gay album and it's not selling or being played. The gay people are still not supporting him after
he has put it out and he supports them every step of the way. When he is interviewed the gay is always brought up. I have watched and watched and I am yet to hear straight straight straight in interviews with straight musicians. Why does it have to be that way? He is the greatest voice out there but if you don't sell records what good is it? I also think the length of time to get this album out was to long. Then they keep changing it a couple times and I just think people lost interest. How does someone have almost 1.5m twitter friends and hasn't sold 150,000 albums yet? This is not meant to be negative but it's real. Alot of the promo has been done at gay clubs.Step up for him. Hopefully he can do well overseas.

wow this is an interesting thread two people forced their grown up daughter to listen to Adam's album.

I think there are many fans who feel Adam's love of pop music might be stalling his career. He's competing with little people. If he had chosen the rock route, he'd be much more successful. Pop music is kind of blah and overcrowded with so many with mediocre voices.
His spectacular voice is not being showcased and appreciated. The best reviews I've read of Adam's was when he sang with Queen at the EMA show. Rock music. Now he has these concerts coming up with Queen again, I'm hoping for rave reviews. Rock music. Big music for a big voice, not Kickin In or Pop That Lock that anyone could sing.

On Idol Adam was a sensation because he was larger than life.
He needs that persona to force people to pay attention. Aren't there any young kick ass rock bands that need a front man?

Unless this country changes drastically in the next few years, the conservative billionaires with their money in radio broadcasting will continue to control radio play. Rock doesn't depend on radio like pop does, rock is arenas filled with people who come for a wild , outrageous, audacious show and who can do that better than Adam? Performing live he's magic.

I forced, not at gunpoint, several of my grown up kids to listen to Adam's albums, just give them a chance. Same thing, he's got a good voice, but not mytype of music. My son did give me heart pains though,he said he thought Bruno should have sung NCOE. He may not get a birthday cake next month! I completely give up on them all. I will accept the fact that I am the only Adam fan in the family.

9:42 keep reading someone forced her whole family to listen to Adam's album. I am going to bed this site is infested with passive aggressive trolls.

I think radio played the music the listeners wanted 20 years ago, not the music the corporations who owned the networks wanted and approved of like today.

@ 8:40 PM I was quite rude in how I handled the "you knows" and "likes". When my teenagers were talking to me, every time they threw in a needless you know or like, I held a finger up. By the time all 10 fingers were up, they started hesitating before they threw in another. It drove them nuts and I knew it was rude, but it worked, took about 2 weeks to be free of "you knows" and "likes". We all breathed a sigh of relief and had pizza every Friday night for a month to celebrate.

I'm not proud of my method, but, you know, it was, like, driving me crazy, you know, like ,I was, you know, ready to scream!

@10:10 pm sleep well, obviously your kids don't force you to listen to Avenged Sevenfold or other migraine inducing bands.
You lucky woman.

To those people who keep saying Adam should sing 'rock' music; that he would have been more successful, etc. Adam has said MANY times on this subject that 'rock' music isn't played on the radio; that there isn't a current audience for it. I'm in LA and the stations that play 'rock' are the Classic Rock stations, playing music from long ago. While it's sad that Adam's music struggles to get played on the radio, he loves pop music and I think he's chosen the right path. After all, it's his choice and I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing, being a very smart business man as well as a fantastic singer.

11:12 amen and halleluyah to your comment. What don't people understand about this??

Anonymous said...

If your a true fan of Adam's you'll pull for the positive's nonstop and not be swayed by any ridiculous negative wish wash! You'll promote to everyone everywhere, get those request's a coming and gift those 'TRESPASSING' Album's if and when possible.
It seems Adam is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't! Hells bells this is one hell of a super beautifully talented an intelligent man, and he has to put up with a whole lotta gunk at times. Support him, love him, embrace him and help get him rule that music industry!

Anonymous said...

Why all the negativity here.???? Runnin' is good radio song as is Pop That Lock and Take Back. Adam is a performance artist and he is doing fine and working really hard. Does anybody know where I can download By The Rules. I love that song. I can't wait til he tours. I saw him at Six Flags and he sure is gorgeous. I was on a high for days after that mini concert!

@June 13, 2012 8:40 PM
'You know" drives me crazy too. In fact, I know one artist who says it every few words. He talks really quickly so his 'you knows' are always said at a super quick pace but they're still annoying to the max. Fortunately, Adam doesn't say it often. Interviews early in the morning can be a tough call.

Sadly, I've yet to hear radio play Never Close Our Eyes where I live and I'm requesting it sensibly.

I LOVE ALL THE SONGS ON TRESPASSING and any number of them could be potential singles .... if only radio would play Adam's music!!!

5:46, Thanks for the Popmatters link. I tried to reply, but it won't take my post. I'l try again later. The writer sounds like he WANTS to like ADAM and actually really DOES. He respects his voice. I don't get why he has issues with so many songs. Actually, he does give some of the songs some good comments. Maybe others here can post some good comments, too.

June 13, 2012 9:47 PM I agree with you...

7:25 PM:
However you need to listen to the album more than once to be able to say if you like it or not. That goes for most music. I didn't like Take back at first, now it's my favorite along with Chokehold. The rockier darker side? yes...

Anonymous said...

It seems every time I listen to Adam's album, I have a new favorite. My initial first love was Cuckoo and then it changed to something else with an upbeat tempo. Underneath and OOL are my favorite ballads with their haunting, poignant lyrics. But to tell the truth, Trespassing is just so good that I really enjoy listening to all of it esp. in the car. Haven't heard NCOE on the radio yet, so I might just as well play the album. It seems that no matter what Adam does musically, he will always be criticized by someone for some reason. This is the album he wanted to make and as long as he is satisfied and happy with it, we should be also.

Anonymous said...

I have to say I personally prefer a lot of the songs live to the CD because they are rockier and Adam voice seems more emotional and unpolished(most pop albums are too "clean" IMO + I like actual instruments!).
Sadly I've also come to the conclusion that I like it best when Adam is unhappy or single.... The songs about heart break or going out and being crazy are so much better than the "I'm so happy it hurts songs". To me he seems more..(I don't know what words I'm looking for here) hmm maybe genuine and invested when he sings those types of song?

Anonymous said...

been voting for ultimate fan...per cent doesn't seem to move

Anonymous said...

anon @1:02 am....I listen to CD and everyday I also seem to change my mind about which is my favorite!

Anonymous said...

As much as I adore Adam's moodier songs (the Dark Side), it's his upbeat songs that I enjoy the most. I can't listen to his sadder songs on Trespassing a lot simply because they make me sad. I prefer his darker songs on his For Your Entertainment album. Sleepwalker is just one example of how brilliant they are.

Anonymous said...

For 1:18pm: In regard to your comment about liking Adam's songs when he is unhappy and single, I think Adele's album 21 is based on songs after the breakup with her boyfriend, and look how well she has done with that. Kelly Clarkson just said recently that she writes better when she is unhappy, not in love. Since she now has a boyfriend, she can't seem to get into the right frame of mind for songwriting. So do you think that is also true for Adam? I'd rather see him happy and in love since he seems to have had his share of heartache and criticism in his young life. When he smiles while performing a song or doing an interview, I just feel happy also and I think he is having such a great time on that stage doing what he loves best....being a performer in front of an enthusiastic audience. I'll take Adam and his music any way I can with any kind of song. He just does it all so well.

Anonymous said...

@10:49 AM
I too would rather see Adam happy and in love than being sad and alone. The upbeat, funky songs he's written on Trespassing come from a happy place (after he met Sauli, he's said) and they are superb. Not taking away anything from his "dark" songs because they are wonderful too but I love the joy that Adam exudes when he's singing and performing songs from the "light" side.

Anonymous said...

Maybe when you're happy/in love, there are more interesting things to do than write songs. ;-)
