I found out that Kris Allen auditioned for the movie ROCK Of AGES which part went to Tom Cruise and was played by Constantine Maroulis on Broadway. He sai his friends pushed him to go.

During AI, ADAM was already very polarizing with his phenomenal talent and showmanship plus his avant-garde fashion as never seen before on AI stage. Fans of cookie-cutter idols don't know what to make of him. Then after Idol, he was channeling the androgenous David Bowie with more make-up and outrageous costume. Those who didn't know what to do with him before just rejected that as saying too gay. What the baby boomers loved him for, was misunderstood by the present generation as just being too gay. Channeling David Bowie right after Idol was IMHO wrong timing pushing the uninformed into total rejection. If ADAM stayed more masculine inspite knowing he's gay, I believe more people would accept him and be on his side. There are a lot of gay celebrities who are left alone by haters and homophobes. But being a pop singer and flamboyant as he is, ADAM is misunderstood. Only people who recognize his genius and being out of this world talent and his beauty in and out, accept him and love him for who he is. I am one of those and love him all my life.

1:06 PM Well said, I believe you are so right. I love Adam for his voice and personality. "Babyboomer"

NCOE should be used as a background song for NBA final. All the bids are on Oklahama team to take the championship. An underdog team. NCOE fits the NBA final very well. Management if you read this blog make it happen. NBA head commisioner is Jewish and he supports gay rights.

anon @1:06pm: I agree with most of what you had to say about Adam. But your comment about Adam being more masculine inspite of being gay doesn't ring true as to who and what Adam Lambert is. Maybe he was too flamboyant during the GNT with his actions on stage. Maybe he did get carried away on the AMA show. But this is Adam expressing himself, getting into the music and unfortunately it turned off a lot of people to this truly talented performer. It's all right for other performers to feel their crotches, kiss someone of the same sex on stage, to have half naked dancers gyrating all around them, but for Adam it makes headlines and generates criticism from all corners. Now he is more into pop music withe the new album, has toned down his style of clothing being more casual and comfortable with less makeup also. In fact, he looks extremely stylish lately during those radio promo concerts and interviews. Yet, somehow he can't get the American music listening and buying audience on his side. He may have compromised a little, but Adam is not going to change to become something he is not to suit the naysayers and haters out there. Perhaps with time and more people becoming familiar with his music and that amaaaazing voice, he will gain the success and fame that he so deserves. I have been a fan since his first note on AI and will continue to be one.

Hi is a true star and a difference maker in the world. Love Adam and everything about him.
Hi's definitely given me a better outlook on life with his positive attitude and humorous response to the haters.
He takes risks, make mistakes, and keeps going.
And the voice is beyond compare.
Those of us who have already researched every breath Adam has ever breathed, and who love him without reservation, and who respect him for his courage and honesty, are thrilled to know the rest of the world.
There is soooooo much more about Adam that will cause you to love and respect him like we ADAMANIACS do. I have never used drugs, but I find myself addicted to ADAM.
No drug could ever make me FEEL THIS GOOD!!!!

Anon 2:34 - I agree with what you said. I also think Adam has matured and wants to present a more mature image. He has said that he lived out his fantasy of wanting to be an outrageous rock star with FYE and GNT but now wants to move forward with his music and his look. I too hope that now more people will accept his new image and especially his new amaaazing music.
I'm also a fan for life!

@3:04 PM I agree with you all the way..I will love and adore this man til the end..he has done nothing but entertain me and fuel my female fantasies since 2009..his lips are the most kissable on Earth!!!!!

Love Adam. Love the picture. I know Adam is gay, but to continue to say he is flamboyant is just wrong. GNT was flamboyant and Adam got the glitter out for that. I think he is a wonderful, beautiful (inside and out) man with the most powerful voice on earth. But flamboyant? No!

Anonymous said...

No one in showbiz is more interesting, exciting, articulate or genuine then you Adam....
Expecting great success with this new music. On of the reasons that I find Adam so fascinating as a person and entertainer is because he is so multi-faceted and "real"..
I hope he always remains so: open and himself.
I hope that he will continue to surprise and entertain us with artistry and talent. He's fascinating and beautiful and willing to take risks.
Trespassing will do very well.
We love you just the way you're, otherwise you wouldn't be the Adam we have all grow to love...

@1:06 and @2:34- I agree with both of you 100%. We are all on the same page with adam and totally get him. Unfortunaely for all reasons stated above- most don't. Just experienced that today in work when I was talking about adam and his #1 album and new video- first thing out of thier mouths - oh the gay guy from idol- whatever!. Adam has to get is music on radios to be excepted!! I'm counting on the rest of the world (besides homo U.S, where I'm from) to do this and put adam on the map here. It will take time, but geez it's so unfair they can't even play his song here in us after all those promos. I would love to write to everyone of those stations and give them a piece of my mind! Don't really know how though.

NCOE got tons of radio adds today. I assume because of NCOE MV being No. 1 on iTunes. If you haven't bought it buy it from iTunes to keep the MV at No. 1 which translates to radio adds and spins and hopefully it will feature on VH1.

Agree with most above. Listening to Mark & Brian this morning in LA, a morning radio talk show and Adam's name came up and they felt that his songs are cookiecutter and that his management is at fault for not giving him a hit! That he needs a song like Kelly Clarkson's Stronger to be a big hit! I believe that even if Stronger was his that it wouldn't be a hit because they just won't play his music!
They must not have heard Trespassing yet and the other great songs on the new album ie;Shady, Kickin in and my fav Chokehold etc.

I wish we could get these people to listen to his music!!!
I was hoping the change to RCA would give him a little more clout in the radio world for them to play his music.

Love him since I first saw his face and he just makes me happy!

Adamluv said...

@Anon 3;53 - thanx for the link to that awesome picture of Adam, and will never feel shallow again for commenting on Mr. Hotness' hotness! . . . Adamluv

Adamluv said...

@Magiclady - that had to be very difficult hearing those DJs saying that about Adam and depressing too knowing there doesnt seem to be anything we can do to change their mindset about him. . . . Adamluv

Anonymous said...

@Magiclady I think Mark and Brian were trying to give constructive criticism.

Anonymous said...

Apparently those two DJs haven't heard or read ANY of the positive reviews of Trespassing? Apparently they think EVERY SONG is cookie-cutter? Every song?? Oh, give me a break. Some people are just too cool for school. Afraid to say they like something 'cause they won't be cool. Good grief. Kelly's song is fine for Kelly. To me, THAT'S a cookie-cutter song. It's very grating to me, even though I like Kelly well enough. There's some sort of wall that some DJ's put up between themselves and Adam, for God knows what reason. RCA should give him a hit???? Trespassing is bursting with hits, if the damn radio people would just play them. They don't seem to want to let the listerers decide. As we have said so many times, how can a song become a hit if no one gets to hear it? Doesn't this logic work for radio promgrammers???? Geez.

There used to be time on radio, when the DJ said, "and now, let's hear a brand new song by so-and-so." And a brand new song that no one heard yet would be played, along with other songs from the same album. Those days are gone. It's so controlled. They're so paranoid about the money invested in a single. These two DJs probably like Adam and even think he has a great voice, but they're barking up the wrong tree when it comes to why he hasn't had a big hit.

They should just look in the mirror.

Adam Lambert is basically responsible for the writing and producing of Trespassing. These are the songs in which he wanted to convey the darker and lighter side of his story through the music. This is the kind of music he likes...funky, energetic, upbeat, danceable and then those powerful, poignant, haunting ballads. Those guys from LA, Mark and Brian, obviously have not listened to Trespassing because they are not cookiecutter songs. Have they listened to some of the "garbage" that passes for music today?? I don't understand how some of these performers are going to having a lasting career in the business with the horrible songs they are putting out and on the radio. But then I guess it shows something about the people who are listening to and buying these songs. And yet, someone like Adam, with the best voice in music today, has to fight his way every minute to have his latest single played even after all those radio promo concert tours and interviews. How could someone so smart, focused, personable and articulate be passed over for performers who can't put two sentences together or do an interview without fumbling and mumbling their way through it? I just don't get it.

Anonymous said...

Agreed. Those DJs need some "communication" from some Adam fans. Nice, respectful, educational communication. Like, PLAY HIS SONGS, FOR PETE'S SAKE!

@SAM you have me rofl with your hotflash comment...hahaha! Good one!

Adam should be on Concert for the Queen by performing WITH Queen. The timing would have been perfect and what an audience that could be!

NCOE #1 on Itunes-I bought it too! Yay!

@Magiclady, I think Runnin' is the answer to Kelly Clarkson's Stronger! I really hope it's the next single!

Adam tweeted a new gorgeous pic of Sauli:

Anonymous said...

Nothing wrong with the DJ's from LA. They just don't have the same taste of music as we do, lot of people don't. That's all.

Anonymous said...

11:47 and all. Those dj's who branded Adam's songs "cookie cutter" or the others declining Adam's critically acclaimed music its deserved air play because his songs are not "popular" enough are just grasping for excuses to deny Adam his place in music history. Not because they don't like his music but because they don't like his "kind" and don't want to promote the Adam "equality" agenda. Either they have this homophobic view or the powers that be do. However, they can't hold back the Adam dam too long before it bursts, and then these "skeerd" sheep will lockstep in place as they eventually yield to the Adam storm. atm

Anonymous said...

3:58. See how homophobia stunts the brain! atm

Anonymous said...

I have just finished picking myself up off the floor after seeing that photo of Sauli. It is the sexiest picture of him I have ever seen. The eyes, the eyes. Adam has said how he loves Sauli's eyes. And the stubble, so sexy and manly. He is really a hottie! I hope they can get together again soon. Sauli's been in Finland doing TV, etc., right? I think I remember Adam saying that in an interview. Since Adam is in the UK, I'm hoping Sauli will be joining Adam. I'm still gasping for breath over that picture!

Thanks all for the support!
I have listened to Mark & Brian for many years and they have always in the past been somewhat supportive of Adam even though they are on a rock station. They have always commented what a great singer he is, so I was shocked to hear their comments.

I do love rock and always have but not near as much as I love ADAM!

Anonymous said...

If they like him so much, they should try to promote him and play his music.

I have a perfectly nicegroup of friends I've been trying to convert to Glamberts. They are music lovers and not in the least homophobic (one has a much loved by all of us lesbian daaughter). I have loaned each of them my deluxe slbum with orders to listen at least twice and give it a chance. They don't like it. Say songs sound like Katy Perry or Beyonce, the only songs they liked were Underneath and Outlaws of Love. They said if he ever puts out an all ballad album or a rock album they'll buy it, but not this stuff. I tried. But you see there are a lot of people who feel the same, just not interested in his music. It's the music, not him. Their age range is 48 to 60 and they are concert goers and music buyers, but not Adam's music.
Severval who loved him on Idol said if he had put out an album of covers right after Idol they would have snapped them up. Still would, but not these songs. I give up, I don't think his whole album is great but I guess I am a fan(atic) I buy everything he puts out, because there are gems among some of the forgettable ones.
