I've given up even speculating about it, it's gotten more buzz than the presidential election.

I wish there weren't so many names floating around out there. How could they not be looking for AFL?

Yea, this has become a farce. Being an American Idol judge can't be that important. It should be about the contestants, not about the judges.

I wish he would be only reason I would watch. I will not watch if it is Kenye or Nicki. I went and saw Pat Benatar in concert this week. She still sounds amazing. I wish they would get someone like her. She is alot like Adam classicly trained and did musical theater before rock. Adam, Pat, Mariah, and Pharrel. that would be a show worth watching. If they want drama why don't they just get the spice girls. That would be a cat fight every week.

even ryan seacrest said that there are getting to be more potential judges than contestants..this whole thing really is ridiculous..and I will NOT watch even one episode if Adam is not chosen..the producers are beginning to look more like lunatics every day..sorry, but that is the most profound word I can think of....

one more thing...how can they be so damned stupid to even entertain the thought of hiring two rappers..WHO HAVE NO TALENT WHATSOEVER!!!!! I mean..how can one of them judge a person's ability to sing when they don't even understand the concept of singing..another thought..ADAM IS A LIVING MIRACLE IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY...

I'm torn between wanting Adam to be a judge so bad it hurts, and NOT having him get the job so I don't have to watch the show. I guess I want the first thing more.

@DRG..Yes, Yes, and Yes..it would be worth watching the worst "talent" on Earth in order to be able to see and hear Adam twice a week for five months..

I'm bored here at work..just waiting for the "bell to ring"..I am wondering if Idol suits are doing this purposely to garner interest in the new season??? Probably..but it has now become just "stupid"..so my thought is that they will announce the new judges real soon now...

I'm so tired of being jerked around, I can't even care anymore until and unless it's Adam.

OT @Anon 11:19 - was Pat Benetar in concert with Loverboy and Journey? Saw all three together last month here in the LA region. She is still rockin' it out!!! Know this was their first stop on their tour. If someone here is thinking about going, GO! Great concert! . . . Adamluv

They don't need to talk with Adam because they know what he can do from mentoring Elvis week and being "the most charismatic contestant they've ever had on Idol." Just go through the motions and interview everyone on the planet and then choose Adam.

I was a great Journey fan, have their Greatest Hits album with the fantastic Steve Perry. Is his replacement even near as good, I've never heard him?

O.K so when are we going to know? All this speculation is crazy, now atlantis morrisette is into the mix. it's like 10 people that have said they are signed??? American idol is looking like a joke right now to me. I love this show and want adam, but this is getting beyond crazy that they want announce who it is???

I think he got the green light back in August. At the Winstar he said he would be back in OK. Why if not for the judging round there.Just my thoughts. He is so up for what ever is about to happen. Good stuff coming.

not a thing scheduled for our boy for sept or oct..so he definitely has the time for AI...but, my gut tells me that those idiots over at Fox are not going to hire him..why?? cause they really are out of touch with what will bring in more viewers..but, with a talent like Adam possesses, he will get other gigs and he will remain in the music business all his glorious life..

He does have a couple of things in Sept and Oct. Phoenex State Fair and back to Sidney for a concert befor or after a race. November he has a concert in Napa.

@JAK - the head singer of Journey has been with them about 5 years and he is from the Phippines. Didnt know that until I ran into a friend of mine waiting in the restroom line and she told me that. First asked if I'd noticed all the Filipinos in the audience and she said they were there for him! She's Filipino/American. He looked about 20 years old, was very trim, jumping and running all over the stage and with a great voice too! Found out he is in his 40s. Was surrounded by Journey fans and they certainly were enjoying the show. Since I'd never been to their concert with Perry as head, I really didnt have any problem with the new? singer. I'm sure that there are purists out there that wont accept anyone else but Perry (just think Freddie Mercury and Queen) but I loved the entire show. Had forgotten how much I loved Loverboy songs!!!!! . . . Adamluv

The Filipino guys name is Arnel Pineda, He used to play in a band in HK, saw them several times playing in bars. They had a really good reputation around town.
He's had quite an eventful life, look him up on wikipedia....

I found a video of him singing "Don't Stop Believing". He does a good Steve Perry with the exception of being able to sustain the high notes that Perry could do. I remember during Idol a reviewer comparing Adam's head voice with Steve Perrys. I love the old Journey songs from the 80's. He had a strong voice that was slightly whiney...or maybe nasal, but really good.

I'm glad they have found a front man to keep the music going.

@Adamluv I LOVE Loverboy!!! Have their albums as well as Journey. Don't have any Pat Benatar but she is great too. I looked at their tour and unfortunately they won't be coming up my way :( Recently saw Credence Clearwater and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that show!!! They played with Three Dog Night (they were ok). I will be seeing The Doobie Brothers in a couple of weeks.

@daydreamin - I remember you saying you were going to see Creedence. Now that's a group I'd really LOVE to see. Have tickets for The Who but not until January! - Yikes a long ways off. Will see Air Supply in a couple weeks - saw them last year and it was a fabulous fun upbeat show. Since it's Friday you will understand this reference "Livin' for the Weekend". . . . Adamluv
