Just watched this battle round and think Alex got robbed.

Oh I just posted on the last blog about this. Anyway they were awful but it brought WWFM up the itunes pop song chart to # 70! Do you think Levine recognized the song this time? haha Hoping PLL is going to do great things for Trespassing and Cuckoo and the album!!!

It is really hard for anyone to sing this well, but the young man that dueted with Adam on the Voice of China was the best I have heard. We are totally spoiled by Adam and his vocal perfection!

First time I have seen the Voice. The second time I watch the Voice will be an appearance by the incomparable Adam himself. They did a good job and am happy to hear the song. Now maybe Levine will acknowledge it unlike the last time when he ridiculously said he has never heard it. Sure.

I think they both slaughtered a Beautiful song!! NO ONE should sing WWFM unless they can do it justice which these two did NOT!! I agree that the young man from China "The Voice" that sang with ADAM was far better than this video of two supposed good singers!! Pathetic!! Sorry ... JMO

Lol xD This is hilarious! But you know guys, they sang it so badly that even the most tone deaf wievers will definitely realize how amazing Adam is.

He is so high above any other singing show contestant ever that it's not even funny. :D

god bless Cee Lo Green's little heart he must really like WWFM and I like him!! I wish I would have known this was going to be on I would have watched it. Darn!!

Adam is the best singer in the world. And whenever someone sings his songs, it is disappointing. But I am just glad that people are hearing Adam's music. I like every song on Trespassing better though. Not a huge fan of WWFM but heck, it got him a Grammy nod so for that, I am happy.

Every time I remembered that Adam Levine said that he doesnt know who sing WATAYA I get mad, because he did at pourpose, Of course he knew it, but he was envy ...and the worst thing was when he said he was sure that the contestan sang much better than the original How he dare!!! if supposedly he didnt know who sing it, since then I dont like Adam Levine anymore. Actually I didnt even know that he exist. I love you Adam Lambert You are the best ever!!! Sorry for gramatical mistakes, english my second language.

8:40 -- Exactly!! Every time, someone who supposedly knows how to sing can't sing WWFM or any other of Adam's songs means that Adam is the ultimate singer, a great singer and performer.

9:00 -- Before The Voice, nobody knew who was Adan Levyne (spelled incorrectly on purpose). Most people only knew of his group, not of him personally. That's what being on a TV show weekly does for your popularity. Incredible, isn't it? And they say that TV is dying. Not true!

Anonymous said...

I must apologize but I couldn't listen to it they did not sing it anywhere near a yeah it is alright. I am spoiled to Adam singing it but will agree the fellow from China did the best. Props to them boosting WWFM up the charts though. I think PLL will give both Cuckoo and Trespassing a big boost. I hope that Adam will get to perform on the AMA's this year too!!!

WWFM moved on iTunes pop from 600 position to #65. They wrecked the songs but good exposure for Adam.

I still wish that Adam Lambert was from another country because that other country would put him on a pedestal, give him tons of honors and awards and celebrate his incredible voice and performances!
Oh, I so wish that...it's a recurring dream of mine.

Anonymous said...

I love when people attempt Adam's songs, no matter how well - or not - they do. It's an honor. Sure wish people could move on past WWFM though. Would love the moment when the judges warn against trying an Adam Lambert song like they do Whitney etc.

Anonymous said...

9:00 - You are absolutely correct and your English is fine. :) I used to be a M5 fan and have 2 of their CDs but when Adam Levine lied and our Adam was still gracious, I got rid of my M5 CDs. Adam Lambert is far more talented. You know how Adam says that he doesn't have many celeb friends? I believe it is because they are jealous of his talent personality, vocal range and music. They cannot compete.

daydreamin said...

Anon 9:41 I was just going to say the same thing. I wish someone would do something from Trespassing, but good for Celo for liking WWFM and having his singers sing it. I want to hear the other judges reactions to it.

Anonymous said...

I agree Adam is on the level of Whitney, Dion, Streisand. Too hard to sing their songs and do them justice. Adam is my fav because he isn't conceited. Humble and kind.

I wonder if Levine could give justice singing WWFM?
Because of his being a judge on The Voice, he has soared in popularity and in demand as guest.
He is now not only a singer but an actor and a record label owner.
And all M5 singles become chart toppers.
What exposure can do!!!

What you said about Adam being from another country and that he would be put on a pedestal, is pretty close to reality. I'll just add on a little to your thought...the other hypothetical country might not have nurtured Adam's talents to such an intense degree to be world renown. He started theatre/singing from a tender age of ten with all the right coaching and an environment so conducive to developing his musical prodigy. Talents are best nurtured from as young as possible and by experts who know exactly how to go about doing it. And Adam got all of that in his home country; but alas, not upheld like you say, "on a pedestal". :)

Trespassing album is #39 on itunes...

That was so painful hearing those two contestant, but Daniel was pitchy all over the place. Ceelo gave that song so it would challenge them. But it was an epic fail..lol

Chris Daughtry is taking a break from tour.
He tweets, “Ok so Europe, UK, Russia, US, then Dubai!!!
It’s been a long, awesome, and exhausting run!
Time for MUCH needed break!"

I find Daughtry lucky as a rocker to be able to break into radio as I hear him when I listen while driving and able to tour outside of US as well.

There are AI fans of ADAM who will support him and buy his records if he goes the rock genre instead of pop and say he would be more successful going that route.
I do hope that Brian May and Roger Taylor would collaborate with ADAM and come up with a rock album before it's too late (before they're too old not to tour).

I have actually always liked Adam Levine. He is very talented and has been around making money a long time. He said he didn't mean any disrespect to anyone with the WWFM incident last year. He has a brother that is gay and often speaks out for gays.

Daughtry is rock? he is a tireless worker.

daydreamin Trespassing Remix or Deluxe? Thanks

Just finished watching the WWFM battle and it was almost painful to watch. I know the 2 contestants did the best they could but it seemed really difficult for them, definitely pitchy. No one can sing that like Adam. As other posters have mentioned above the duet in China with Adam and the contestant (sorry I can't remember his name) was terrific though. This proves once again Adam is in a league of his own.

OT: I was listening to Ryan Seacrest this am while driving in the car and his guest was Adam Levine of M5 who he had on for at least 15 minutes talking about how successful he and M5 have become since Adam Levine is a judge on the Voice. He said it's increased his fan base hugely and opened up so many other opportunities for him. Then Ryan announced the "huge breaking news" I couldn't wait to hear what this might be....it only was to announce a world tour of 31 shows across the US. It made me think of GNT and our Adam's 114 (?) shows all over the world. Like it was such a big deal that Adam of M5 had a 31 show tour coming up. Don't mean to knock Adam Levine but I wish our Adam could get a break appearing on a popular TV show weekly. All that exposure would get him more opportunities too.

@daydreamin I don't see Trespassing on itunes, not even in the top 100.Are you sure?

Anonymous said...

This duet wasn't the best. I think Adam's songs should be left for him alone to sing but agree it was probably good publicity for him.

A few people have told me that Adam Levine sounds much better in recording than he does live.

Adamluv said...

Will forever think Levine is a jealous jerk for his comments last year about the "original singer " of WWFM. Didnt know it was Adam LAMBERT my ass! . . . Adamluv

I don't like Adam Levine's voice but he sure has had some big hits. Moves Like Jagger, Payphone and I really do like One More Night, his new one. I wish our Adam could have big hits like that especially since his voice is amazing. Just leaps and bounds above all the other singers on the radio. It's just the beginning and I'm sure it will happen!

I checked itunes Trespassing remix album is #87 on the top 100 POP albums. It has moved up because yesterday was out of the top 100.

When Adam Levine said he didn't know the song WWFM, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and left it at that. It was when he said WWFM would have "fallen flat" if the contestant had not sung it so well...then something ignited, lol! I mean he was speaking as a judge; and the prerequisite of making any form of judgement is you must first know the subject matter clearly. He didn't hear Adam sing WWFM and made such a blatant statement. So I couldn't let him off then. lol! But I admire his bravery or sort of, when he retrieved his words as an apology. So no ill feelings. lol!

they were both really bad on this, but the guy was much, much worse, how on earth did ceelo pick him.....
I like Maroon 5's music, don't really like Adam Levine though, he always comes across as being really up himself.

Anonymous said...

No Offense to contestants, but this show is just BORING!!!! I agree you better be damn good to sing a song by Adam Lambert. That is straight up bad by both of them.

Anonymous said...

OMG what was that. i hope Adam wasn't watching that. they murdered his song. blahhhhh!

Anonymous said...

I think it's great that contestants and dance groups and whoever else want to sing Adam's songs. Bring it on! Let the whole world sing along with Adam.

Agree, the performance was really bad. Talk about not showing off their voices. No one like AL.

The duet was pretty lame, but they tried. Oh well. Nobody sings like Adam, end of story.

Levine's success is a testament to the power of network TV, something that Lambert hasn't been able to crack. Our Adam should be a regular on all the big talk shows. He can talk music, show biz, fashion, humor, social issues, etc. He'd be a lot more interesting than most talk show guests, for sure. This is why the AI gig was such an important gig for Lambert to have gotten. For some reason, despite his accomplishments, his wit, personality and smarts, Lambert raises little interest in the talk show realm. Unless he does some really BAD thing or gets into trouble, no one seems to think he's worthy of their time. Wrong, of course, but true. I pray that SOMETHING breaks through for him on network TV. It's the door that opens up to big opportunities. Just look at Levine, who has a fraction of Lambert's talent, but is at the peak of his career because of The Voice.

WWFM is #60 on iTunes pop and Adam didn't even perform his own song on T.V. Now tonight he'll be on PLL and Trespassing and Cockoo will shoot up on iTunes chart.

This all calls for celebration by REQUESTING radios to play Trespassing.

@11:56 Thank you this morning it is #39. I wonder why different itune links rank it differently. Anyone know if maybe some are more up to date than others. I want to look at the most recent numbers.

maybe it was just me but I thought they both did a horrible job on this song. totally murdered it but then again it may have just been me. Just my opinion I've heard others sing it way better then they did

Adam Levine's albums sell like hot cakes because he is a formulated pop singer. As far as I'm concerned, everything he sings sounds the same. I'm not saying his songs and videos are bad, i think they're okay. It's just that he sings what the general public wants to hear and wants to see and not think too much. My gripe with Levine was that he refused to compliment Adam Lambert's talents and didn't even say his name if my memory serves me correctly. And, yes, I think Levine lied about not knowing our Adam sang WWFM. Grow up Levine and be a man for God'sake! Did CELO say our Adam's name? If not, why not? Give credit where it's due. No one is gracious like our BB. I admit I'm very touchy about this. Levine's apology was wishywashy to me.
Still holding a grudge,

Someone said here that Cee-Lo did mention Adam's name. I don't know. I didn't watch. All I know is that Levine is ok, but not great. It's the Voice that has propelled him. Lucky for him. Adam deserves such an opportunity.

As for giving credit, I'll never forget Michael Orland's gratitude when Adam's publicly thanked in on Idol and called him a genius. Michael said that no other Idol had ever thanked him on the show like that. Michael has been working with AI contestants since Season 1. He REALLY respects Adam, both as a singer and as a person. I hope Michael has some influence in getting Adam a Grammy nom. Michael is on the nominating committee apparently.

Adam Lambert is so classy and grateful to others. Always gives others praise for their music and help. Maybe one day he'll get some of it back in return.

Not great versions of this song, but still great exposure for Adam. I did think the guy on The Voice of China did a great job, much better than these two contestants.

Well then, I'm going to name Zhangwei, officially, Adam's first disciple...lol! I doubt he can recruit 12 though, lol! Adam is going back to China to do some 'work' in Dec...good strategy Adam. :)

I'd like to say something nice about another Michael. Remember the sweet stocky oil rigger who was on Idol with Adam - Michael Sarver? He was the one who gave such a nice interview about Adam and how he had changed his attitude about accepting everyone?
I saw a video of his Love On a Ferris Wheel, he has a verynice voice and such a sweet smile. I hope is making a living with his singing. The oil rig is a hard job. Really nice guy.
