Very artistic poses and angles; with the exception of the first one. The horizontal shelf-like structure, the brown wood, top/bottom and arch, tend to squash the flow of energy in the picture. Background, in my opinion is too exaggerated, does not blend in so well with the sophistication portrayed by Adam. The photographer may be looking from a different perspective though.

OT: So I read adam's twitter search becuz it's minute to minute. Well apparently RCA dropped Adam and already some fu--g articles are making the accusations it's because of Adam's comment on les misera? It's not true becuz his contract was up but of course the media is putting a spin on it "Adam dropped by RCA" boy when will this end with the media?

I want to be honest! Next one and half years are the best time for Adam to release new album! Cause Adam will be one of the few musicians who release the new album in 2013! Everybody else released their albums in 2012!

Forgot to add. It seems that Adam has enough songs for 2 new albums! I meant all of these songs which weren't include in Trespassing!

"The "American Idol" season eight runner-up gets ready to take the next step in his "evolution" as an artist."

"Although the American Idol season eight runner-up had split with 19 Management in August 2011, he remained signed to the recording arm of 19 Entertainment (now owned by CORE Media Group) for another 18 months."

"According to sources, January marked the expiration for that contract, although he is still on the roster at RCA Records. “It’s good for both sides,” says an insider. “Adam can move forward with his plans and 19 isn’t stuck in the middle.” "

"A rep for Lambert says the two parties leave “amicably and with the utmost respect for each other,” adding that the decision is but one part of the singer’s “evolution,” which began when he joined Direct Management Group, home to Katy Perry among other clients."

"Although Lambert saw little radio play in the U.S. for his latest offering, Trespassing, his success overseas has cemented his status as an international artist. Aside from appearances at massive events like the MNet Asian Music Awards and The Voice China, the latter of which was watched by some 500 million people, he played with Queen, hosted December's VH1 Divas 2012 special and there are plans for Lambert to tour Japan, Southeast Asia and Europe in 2013.

I'm lost, I'm not familiar with all these details of Adam's contract and the article is ambiguous for me.Are 19 Recordings, 19Management and 19 Entertainment one and the same? How come Adam remained signed to them for another 18 months? Who took the decisions, not to promote Adam more aggressively on radio or who successfully promoted him overseas?
Are Queen&Adam Lambert tours accomplishments of 19 whatever, DMG or are they Queen and Adam's personal achievement?

19 has a management and a recording branch. Adam previously left the management branch. 19 Recordings licenses to RCA but maintains control and profits. Adam's contract with 19 Recordings is over now but he is still with RCA. RCA has not dropped him. This is good as 19 is now fully out of the picture and Adam and RCA will have full control and greater profits.

I think I'm going to need to start subscribing to INROCK ;) They always have such great photos of Adam.

On the impact of the first picture on me: Avid reader, Adam, has devoured every book on the shelf, and now there's only himself left. "What now?" looks to be his challenge to us. I have all kinds of ideas, my little bookworm. Thanks, Intouch, for capturing our Adam in his element. atm

About the Adam and Queen concerts: that was handled by Queen's management I would assume....I don't believe they have any ties to Adam's other management.

The bottom line here is that it is apparently a good thing for Adam, and it was his choice: he wasn't dumped by them...He has been shedding 19 Entertainment ties for the last couple of years and is now finished with them... And he's working on his new music concepts...which is a very good thing for him and for us!!

Like I said, the photographer might have looked at it from a different perspective but doubt very much it's in line with yours, lol! From a photography perspective, still not so agreeable with me; perhaps this would make a good caption poster for a library corner. lol! Hey someone might grab your idea and partly mine too! Of course I knew how all that magic began, with Brian noticing Adam in Time for Miracles, but I "hypocritically" pretended I didn't know because I was a little upset , the author just "slipped" that info into the article as if Adam's management had had anything to do with, I repeat , "that kind of magic" .
No offense, I belong to the category of fans who strongly believe that his management, old or new, could have been more creative in promoting Adam and his singles/mvs in the US.

I think Brian first noticed Adam when he sang with Queen on the Idol finale :))) and probably before that actually, during the Idol season, but yes, so glad Brian recognized Adam for what he is, an amazing and "magical" talent...with that "one in a billion voice.."

I'm with you in thinking his management could have perhaps done a better job promoting him but at this point its water under the proverbial bridge..Very excited to see what happens next with new management and new music coming up later this year..."Its a new dawn, its a new day....."

HOT HOT HOT pix! I kinda miss the grayish/white hair. Very sexy. It's a GOOD thing that Adam has left 19 Recordings VOLUNTARILY. It will be better for him. He wasn't "dumped" by them. 2013 will be a great year. Adam has more freedom. Let's hope he gets better promotion.

Has there ever been an album that was mediocre but sold plenty owing to constant airplay? Of course, many. And, has there ever been a highly praised and critically acclaimed pop album that has not had tremendous sales? Can't think of any, but Adam's. Whereas many songs that have little going for them get played all the time, Adam's sophomore album, which has all the hallmarks of a hit, not just from one, but from nearly all the tracks, gets ignored. Heaven knows how Adam's legion of fans have made fervent and frequent requests for the singles as they came out, but to no avail. Among the many theories to explain this phenomenon, a radio industry insider of eight years once shared a dirty little secret--that radio stations play all kinds of music all the time depending on their niche, but with one exception--the music of openly gay guys. Because of their perceived threat to society, their music is blackballed from U.S. radio airplay by corporate edict, and as we found out sadly with Adam, no amount of requests or pleas could move them to ease the barrier. With the ownership of radio by conservative types who have a stronghold on the songs played, it is little wonder that we do not hear Adam's music on the radio. That "Whataya Want From Me"
got any traction where "Trespassing" did not may seem to blow this conspiracy theory out the water, but, if we recall, the tour that immediately followed WWFM's release pushed the sales, which then justified the token air play. In the case of Trespassing, the album tour was made contingent on sales, which made radio play mandatory. Without a Trespassing tour to drive the sales, radio did not have to respond to requests, no matter how frequent or ardent, and no matter the high caliber of the album.
Adam has already proved more than worthy to "trespass" into unfriendly radio territory; but instead of welcoming open arms, he got the cold shoulder. As it now appears, a Trespassing tour may not happen, but a Trespassing Non-Tour is nicely taking shape internationally. U.S. radio may yet continue to turn a deaf ear to Adam's music, but with his drive and musical genius, it may just become incidental to Adam's career's meteoric climb. atm

Critically acclaimed albums are commercial failures all the time. Just a couple recent ones in the pop, R&B genre are The Idler Wheel by Nelly Furtado, Human by Brandy and Archandroid by Janelle Monae. Beyonce and Britney have had what are considered commercial failures based on their previous sales.

Maybe the best story of a critically acclaimed flop is Van Morrisson's Astral Weeks. It's been on many top album of all time lists yet it took 33 years to reach Gold.

Most importantly, there is no evil conspiracy by the entire US radio industry to not play the music of openly gay men.

Frank Ocean is quietly gay and he gets radio play and nomination for Grammy. Adam I think is considered
agressively gay and that irritates the big guys who approve of who gets played on their networks. I was surprised when Adam was nominated, thogh he definitely deserved it. There isn't so much attention paid to being gay anymore, but acting gay is still a threat it would seem in the US.

JAK here....I would like to hear the songs that were rejected as not 'fitting' into TP album. The rejects that made it on as bonus songs were Runnin', Take Back, Nirvana and in U.K. album By The Rules and Map. I LIKE all of them!... Some better than the first choice ones. Please Adam, take another look thru those before you start on the new ones you plan to write......we might really like them!

For sure these "not fitting the TP" are all good because ADAM has said he will not do something he does not believe in.
And as you mentioned, I love all the bonus songs as well from both UK and US.
