It's a shame isn't it that with the world in that region a potential powder keg, Adam won't be going to entertain these fans who would so love to see him?

Whoa, Persian/Iranian fans...I like your video, simple yet says so much!! And you used my favourite song. Wow! it's so touching; even though Adam may never be able to visit your country, you still show so much love with no apprehension at all. I really hope he is able to visit your country some day in the far-off future. This is exactly what I mean in my poem...transcending boundaries, dreams. Iranian fans, you touched a nerve.

Adam looks persian to me! Awesome persies, love your love

Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, must have been inspired by Queenbert because Kurt’s new love interest is called ADAM and Murphy tweeted an upcoming episode called Diva.

In the picture, Darren Criss is wearing I would say a poor man’s Elmo jacket version of ADAM's.
And Darren is going to sing Queen’s "Don't Stop Me Now."

Awww my fellow GlamPers! :D So many familiar faces in there! Shahrzad, Sara, Mehrane, Sadaf, Niloofar and so many...! Glad you guys did this and sorry I couldn't make it, maybe next time? ;)

I know we will all do our best to see Adam live one day, however let's wish someday this tired and ancient homeland of ours will get free and we can all celebrate Adam's magnificence here, with each other, Persian style! :D

Thank you for doing this and also inviting me. I'm forever ur GlamBro and You guys rock... ;)

WOW... THANK YOU SO MUCH! You have always been one of the sweetest Glamberts on this blog! I've been following your posts for a very long time.

You are right, we do love him SO MUCH. I've been here, on twitter, amazon and other Adam portals since the very beginning and let me tell you - I'm not saying this because I'm Persian myself - Adam has one of the oldest, strongest and most supportive fan bases here in Iran! AND ALL THIS IS WHILE WE ARE COMPLETELY FORBIDDEN TO LISTEN, WATCH OR SPREAD WESTERN MUSIC! We've found our ways and have been following him since his first official live performance on AI until this day and this fandom is still growing and growing and growing... :)

After so much time since the album's release and BTIKM & NCOE also, they are still on the top spots on all of the abroad-based Persian music channels and radios' charts!

We even conducted a notebook, a collection of handwritten appreciation, love and support notes to Adam, and handed it by our Glambassador "Shahrzad Pejman" to Adam himself in Canada! There are vids and pix of this on here and Youtube.

I'm a bit older, so maybe I won't be "fangirling/fanboying" like that! :D But I'm really proud of my younger Persian GalmSises and GlamBros for being so unconditionally supportive and loving towards Adam himself, his music and most importantly his msg.

It's so nice of you to recognize this and mention it in your comment. They too need support and love for what they are passionate about even though they are deprived of this passion. They too need to have hope for the future. You guys are really sweet for recognizing this...

Together we stand, Glamberts, Tall and Proud.

Thank you!! Yes I remember the video of an Iranian fan handing a yellow book to Adam in the video you mentioned. I wrote a comment about it. I feel inspired by you all; it has to take a lot of love and strength to pursue something you believe in, with such odds stacked against you Persian glamberts. Your tenacity gives me goosebumps. :)

The Persian Glamberts are fantastic! I can't imagine a place where certain music is outlawed. It shows a lot of courage to listen to that music and openly love the people who sing it. Yay, Persian Glamberts! Also, let's put in a final push on the PopCrush polls. I know it's hard to compete with JB and 1D, but Adam is still giving a good showing, all things considered. We've all said that it's important to keep his name right up there with the biggest names. And it IS!
VOTE, and help Adam finish strong!

Persians are brave for following Western way of life on internet.

There will be changes soon in that country. June election is around the corner and if people don't see what they want there will be another movement with women in the front. Unlike other uprisings we witnessed on TV in that region with men in the front. Although they were inspired by 2009 Green Movement.

A change is gonna come!

I just read a book about ancient Persia, it was fascinating, what a history! It has existed as a continuous settlement since over 7000 years B.C. Artifacts from that period and ruins of settlements have been uncovered and dated. Figurines of people and animals, wine jars, cups, jewelry have been found. In the era of 500 B.C. it was the largest empire on earth! So many historical places and facts.

All this and "magic flying carpets" too! :)))........JAK
Welcome Persian Glamberts!

Love the LOVE for Adam. He is SPECIAL as are the Persian

To the Glamberts in Iran - thank you for your love and support. It isnt as easy to express it as in other countries so makes it even more special. Beautiful young faces. If I remembered how to say thank you in Farsi I would!! . . . Adamluv

@JAK > Glad to know you know so much about ancient Iran (Persia)! It really is amazing! Add to your list the invention of Express roads, coins, primitive battery, post, chariots, sea canals, compass, clinometer, primitive freezers, wind and water mills, Polo and Backgammon and discovery of alcohol, copper, weaving threads and so many other things! :D But most importantly what is believed by many to be the "world's first charter of human rights"!
I wish there was an ideal atmosphere here so i could be able to invite you all to visit Iran, but alas not only it won't be a suitable offer, but also many of the wonders we know of ancient Persia which you may be eager to see and witness have either been ruined in the past 30 years or are being ruined, as the result of lacking proper supervision or what we like to call anti-Iranism actions by the extremist regime.
However, there's no deny that we have brought this upon ourselves and therefor it is our own responsibility to overcome this.

Anyways...
In the meantime let's Bert to learn to stand firm for what we believe in and stay true to "WHO WE REALLY ARE", right?! ;D

Thanks for the Welcome. <3

Listen, I'm young, very passionate and so thrilled with all the love on this thread! :D So if i want to go on and msg every single one of you for your kind words it will take days! :)) It's already 3:45 AM here and i haven't yet gone to sleep as I'm overwhelmed with this much GlamLuv. I beg you to forgive me if i can not do this individually but again i want to thank ALL OF YOU AMAZING GLAMBERTS for the kind words and promise to either inform Persian Glamberts of your beautiful comments or redirect them to this thread.

Have a beautiful night/day.

Pasha: We in America do not know what it is to live in a repressed society yet. As Whoopi calls him, Imadinnerjaket, is keeping his people in the dark ages while he is trying with all his might to join and perhaps lead the atomic age. I pray for the young people of Iran who realize that there is no life if you are not free. I wish America had been there for you when you cried out for help. We the people of America care about you and want you safe.GGPASS

Sorry I'm late getting back to you...I hope you come back here to see my thanks to you for being such an amazing supporter of Adam Lambert from your country of Iran. We speak sometimes on twitter but its so nice to see you here too. :)

Loved the Persian Glamberts' Happy Birthday video to Adam! He may not have touched every single worldwide heart yet...(working on it...) but his music and his persona have traveled many times around the world and its so wonderful to see that even those who must work very hard to be able to hear his music are such big fans. It must move Adam very deeply when he sees things like this...

For those who are interested in finding out more about the country, culture, history, and people of Iran, Rick Steves, the man whose program "Europe Through The Backdoor" is seen all over the world on TV, (and whose company is near to me in WA state), traveled to Iran in 2009 and produced this documentary. He was both lauded and criticized for visiting Iran at the time but he felt he could help bring a little understanding to the rest of the world and show the people of Iran, and ignore the politics as much as possible. He did a wonderful job, in my opinion. He isn't one to avoid controversy and felt strongly that if he presented this documentary that it would foster a little more understanding of what Iran is all about. I watched it when it first came out and learned so much. I think it's time I watched it again. I can personally drive down the road about 20 miles and purchase the DVD from his store, headquartered in Edmonds, WA, but for the rest of you, here's the 1 hr. video on You Tube. There is a link for info to purchase if interesting. I've met Mr.Steves several times over the years and attended some of his travel seminars. Always interesting, enthusiastic, and informative.

@Pasha - dont mind you asking in the least. For many years had an Iranian boyfriend and I have many memories and photos of time spent together and also with his mother, brothers, relatives, and his 3 amazing very young children. What fabulous meals his mom prepared! Learned some words in Farsi but if not practiced daily a language is soon forgotten and that is what has happened. Lovely, kind, generous and very loving people who I will always hold dear to my heart. . . . Adamluv

Yea I wrote a comment on your handing a yellow, ringed book to Adam; because it looked exactly like my Adam Poem book except it's pink. Not bad, you can film a very touching video! Not only that Kickin In is my favourite song, second only to Outlaws of Love; but they are ranked vertically so there's no second really lol!

For those who live in NY area go check out Metropolitan Musem of Art. There is a section on second floor that has ancient artifacts from Iran. Another museum that has magnificient collection is Luvre Museum in Paris.

What you hear about Iranians on your TV news don't believe it. This current regime has Iranians as hostage and their days are numbered. Majority of Iranians are fed up with this brutal government.

One thing that these young Iranians are fans of Adam cause Adam talks about change and freedom. Things that young Iranians are thirsty to have.

Pasha I left Iran at a very very young age back in 1979. I haven't been there since then. I know how to read and write in Persian. We Persians here in LA we say mostly "merci" or "tashakor" very seldom as to thank someone. I know meci is French and tashakor is Arabic. Iranians are trying to preserve the Persian culture so now they say "sepas" to thank someone. I'll remember it.

Anonymous said...

@glitzylady. Rick Stevens segment about Iran is good glimpse of Iran. Lonely Planet had a good glimpse of Iran a while ago. Wikipedia is a good source of historical information.

Some posters here have no scruples at all. To take someone's heartfelt words and twist them into something you can then make fun of is nothing less than being a bully. Chin up Shaley - I may not agree totally, but I support you in your opinions. GGPASS

@glamma

Thank you so much for the love glamma. You're amazing. I'm equally thrilled to be able to communicate with you guys here AND IT'S NEVER LATE! :D No shame, Adam taught me that 'regret' is only good for a moment when u realize u may have done sth wrong. After that short 'moment' regret, shame and sorrow will only hold us back. Hope, peace and openness is what i choose. Tnx to you and ur great 'BB' for being so passionate and kind. :D I appreciate ur frienship glamma. A pleasure... <3

Pasha said...

@GGPASS >

hahaha... =)) I didn't know Whoopi has said that! A VERY ACCURATE TERM I MUST SAY! Gotta love Whoopi, she's awesome.

Tnx for the msg GGPASS. You're right, many people have no perception ( if i'm using the word right #BrokenEnglish!) of how their kinds are living in other parts of the world. BUT THEY'RE NOT OBLIGATED TO. As long as they know that people's point of view and approach to many matters MAY BE much different than their governments'.

The youth in Iran have been fighting for their freedom and for their human rights for many years now. Unfortunately there have been executions, arrests and violation beoynd what many people think. However it's not only "Imadinnerjacket" who has a hand in this. Unfortunately it's a very very vast organiztion. I too think that the American government could have had a much more active role in our efforts back in 2008 & 2009 but they can't be blamed that much. Politics, National safety and many other factors...

Anyway let's not tarnish this place with things like this. It's not even good for my safety as well.

Thank you GGPASS, there has always been a mostly good bond between American and Persian people. Let's not get our governments and politics get in between sometimes. Thank you for your kind and compassionate words. It's highly appreciated. GlamLuv. ;)

Dearest Glitzylady, it is always great to hear from you. Late or early. :D You know how much i respect you for your sense of logic and your openness in the matters you discuss. So thank you too for doing what you're passionate about and sharing this passion so honestly with us. ;)

Also i like to thank you for yet another informative link that you've shared here. I had seen this a couple of years back. Rick Steves' documentary is one of the better ones produced in recent years about Iran. Thanks so much for sharing it.

There's this other video too which gives a very general glimpse of the ancient Persian civilization's glory in engineering, industry, architecture, knowledge and art. I think you might like it.
Iran, the seven faces of a civilization: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8se-1qXK1Q

If you were ever interested i'd be more than happy to share with you many great English documentaries about Iran and ancient Persia.

Thank you again. I highly appreciate your friendship glitzylady. ;)

Actually we still use those words on a regular basis and "mamnoon" too which is also an Arabic word.

You're right. I wanted to write the Farsi equivalent of the word. I don't mean to ignore or degrade many of our cultural and lingual ties with neighboring countries. The purpose is just to preserve the beautiful language of Parsi (Farsi) along with others. The fascinating language of Rumi, Ferdowsi, Hafez and so many greats...

Yes! Now I know who you are, that artistic Guybert! And I know your name but maybe I won't reveal it, may confuse, with your present name. Yes, lol! Hey, really nice to hear from you again! Guybert, I owe you a minuscule apology. Minuscule, because it was not intentional. Remember when you first came onto this site, I gave you a pretty rough time. lol! I think my supposed 6th sense was switched on acute mode! lol! When I think of Persia, the first thing that comes to mind is Persian carpet, very popular here and very expensive; also Aladdin and the Lamp. lol!
