Can't wait to see Adam on the red carpet and performing. I hear that he also won a big award. Does anyone know what else is happening that Alidol was hinting about and why Adam is staying until the 21st?

OT

I had been hearing about Olly Murs, finally just saw him on The View with his band and singers doing the song Troublemaker. Very nice and I like the way they were dressed. I will look up some of their other songs. Advise you to take a look. No Adam of course, but a polished performance.

So excited for the award show its another feather in Adam's cap. He doing so well in Asia just very happy for him! Sue

Olly Murs getting all sorts of good consideration, and indeed it is deserving, but I saw him on Kelly & Michael, live vocal, and although I understand fully the constraints of that sort of TV environment, his live vocal was hardly mindblowing. It's fine, it's all good, I wish Murs well and he will do well, but I can't help but feel that he gets a pass, like so many others, because he is not the least bit left of center. Whatevs, the times they are a changing and talent like Lamberts can't be denied. I would venture to guess that Adam digs Olly and wishes him all the best, so I will try to do so as well. Peace Out.

Yay I can't wait for this perfortmance and the red carpet.

is the other song Adam going to do WWFM does anyone know?

Anonymous said...

Yay, Professional Dancers!!!!!

Anonymous said...

@10:17 Yeah I was wondering what the second song will be also. I'm guessing WWFM or maybe another single from Trespassing. About Olly Murs, he is O.K. but so many people break into the radio and Adam has to struggle with his enormous talent, not fair IMO.

singing two songs? great glad to hear it.

I have been hearing WWFM all over the radio lately. It sounds so good to my ears when I hear it.

Olly Murs, laugh out loud, saw him on X-Factor. He not that talented, but he loves to move his body, won't call it dancing. However, I'll say he's a happy go lucky kind of guy, and doesn't hold back on his wacky dance moves. He's managed by Simon Cowell, so Simon is bring all his British acts over to conquer America. Too bad England hasn't reciprocated, especially with a talent like Adam. Just goes to show that the non-talented artists are ruling the world of music if anyone thinks that Olly Murs is a good singer. AMERICA WAKE UP!

Can't WAIT for the CMA show! Dancers are lookin' mighty good! Red carpet to come...YUM.

I listened to Olly, too. Voice is just fine, but no better than just fine. Wish him the best.

10:42 I agree with your comment about radio play. I have been struggling so long emotionally with the fact that other singers have come up after Adam, who have lesser talents but automatically get radio play. Their songs are no better than his and are no better performed. But these singers are generally quite mainstream, non-threatening in any way. They are not untalented, but are just rather ordinary. I have been trying to just "let it go." Adam's voice outshines them all, but he is just not ordinary enough. And that's something I never want him to be. I am thrilled with Adam's success despite the lack of wide radio play. It's really quite amazing. But my heart does hurt when someone new with ordinary skills just gets their music played automatically.
Sigh...

@DRG, 9:45 here, WELL SAID. My feelings exactly. Daily struggle to "let it go" and I do sincerely revel in Adam's success thus far, a mightly success when one thinks of other artists achieving instant recognition from one season of a talent competition show... I am very optimistic, and think Adam will continue to receive formal representation from a good label because of his international success (those Eastern markets are HUGE), so that makes me more at ease. But yes DRG, well said.

DRG- I totally agree with your comments and the lack of radio play for Adam's songs. Adam does outshine all of them and he is the best vocal talent in music today. But I guess that doesn't count for much with many of today's mediocre, untalented and self centered performers whose songs are played ad nauseum on local radio stations. I would guess that one reason for lack of Adam's songs on the radio has to do with homophobia unfortuntately. Wake up people. The rest of the world recognizes and loves this talented man and is excited to see him perform and to present him with special awards. I am optimistic that this will change with the release of Adam's third album and acceptance by the radio listening audience. Can't wait to see any of the vids from his China Music Awards appearance.

Also just saw Olly Murs on the View - liked the song, his looks and the matching outfits. Liked his voice as well but thought it had the same vibe as "Shady" and dont understand why Adam isnt getting the opportunity to perform that song or others on such shows? . . . Adamluv

I also saw Olly Murs and enjoyed the performance very much, his voice is pleasant and the song was good, but what made it was the presentation . The band and singers, the clothing all had a cohesive polished professional look, maybe that's Simon's influence, IDK - but - Adam's band does not have that look. They look like a group playing at a local pub, loose and easy but not professional looking, not ready for TV looking, not a classy presentation at all. Put shirts on Rick and Brian, put pants on Ashley, ditch the dancers, have all band members dressed smartly in a similar if not matching fashion. Adam is the focal point and is always a stand
out, but try to be impartial, compare his band to Olly's or
Bruno Mars. Adam's does not measure up style wise,
which I really don't understand since he himself is so style conscious.

I was thrilled watching him on the Diva's - the
performance at Royal Albert Hall, - the shows in Asia and I know the CMA will be great. Because the
professionals with him measure up. Something needs to be done about the appearance of the band to compete for TV appearances. He deserves it and if he's not seeing this is a problem, why isn't his management
seeing it?

Oh lol. I've never seen the drummers without a shirt on tv, and I think they all look fine. Adam doesn't want a corny all matched look.

Anonymous said...

Then be prepared to not see a lot of Adam, except from fan videos.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I'm sure people decide whether to put him on tv because they don't like the way his band dresses.

Bands and solo singers have so many different styles onstage. Some are the totally "dancing in-sync" type with the frontman or woman being in an ensemble type dance peformance with the back-up dancers, etc. Others are more loose and free-form. Olly is following the current trend of a more structured stage style. The big acts are like that now. Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno, etc. It's a very tightly choreographed dance-sing thing. Pop acts tend to be more like this. Adele, on the other hand, just stands and sings beautifully. Obviously, that works for her.
Rock acts tend to be looser onstage. Adam is kind of between the loose and the tighter style. He likes to improvise. He dances a little, but he doesn't dance through his whole act while singing. I agree that I think his whole stage act could be tighter. I like it best when he and the dancers move in closer sync with each other when they are dancing. But I also love Adam's spontaneity and improvisation in his shows. Some rock acts are very loose, with band members meandering all over the stage kind of aimlessly. This works, too, depending on the band. Adam's stage act is pretty informal and has that club/cabaret feel that I think he likes. I would like him to work with a stage director who could help him be more versatile so he'll fit in whether he is in a concert or on TV.

DRG (China show is coming!)

@ DRG.....JAK here
Amen to your last sentence!!!

Anonymous said...

Well, the only way he'll fit in is if he dumps that ultra fem johnny and evens it out with a female dancer. If not, then his show will remain cabaret style appealing only to the ever accepting fiercely defending clueless glamberts.

I don't make self pity for Adam anymore because he is the best talented entertainer in his generation right now. The most important is, Adam is invading every countries in the world with his amazing talent!!!!:)

The Rock God is born to spread the love and acceptance indeed!!:)

I'm so proud and he will kick everyones asses!!:))

I'm open to all options for him. I just want him to get TV gigs and award show gigs, etc.,right up there with the other top acts. He already does make adjustments in his stage show, according to the audience and the venue. I'd just like to see him get new ideas from a really good stage director.

Lol Adam can't turn back the clock. He has already put out a strong impression of himself as a person and an artist and it is not mainstream. I don't think he will ever get radio play or industry awards no matter what he does now. To talk about the band outfits or kind of dancers making a difference is silly (and just as clueless as those you feel so superior to)

I personally doubt Adam will even tour again. Maybe Broadway, or hosting some kind of pop culture show. He definitely has career options I am sure, but it is not as a mainstream pop artist imo.

Just to add: He obviously does not have a record deal with RCA. He has even said himself that he is looking into things other than music.
