To me it was so obvious Adam and Angie stole the night. It was so different, 'organic' and authentic in terms of voices. Singing solo is difficult enough but fusing a tenor and a soprano in absolute synchronisation and harmony is a whole different kettle of fish; perhaps likened to the indomitable arowana or dragon-fish; my analogy. I keep hearing comments about Adam letting Angie shine; that is indeed uppermost on Adam's natural, selfless demeanour, but still the main reason I feel is he just wants to perfect a very difficult duet which must not only bring out the titanium strength of the song but technically it has to be sooo precise. Letting Angie take the extreme high notes is the right thing to do, as I feel it and not so much as to let Angie shine. Yes agree though, because Adam always does that in other duets, like he let Zhangwei do most of the high notes. I could see him very very carefully weaving his voice into Angie's, so deliberate yet sooo gentle, as not to over emphasise that. The part when Adam sang...you shoot me down but I won't fall...fits him, and his facial expression and voice brought it out so passionately. Angie was the perfect lead voice and Adam the magnanimous sifu support.

Yea I enjoyed Psy's song, quite uplifting. I think the heavy drums did the trick and his particular prance, remnants of the horse gallop. The audience was all perked up.

I love watching Michael and Melinda review Idol each week. I usually agree with them. Michael should be a judge and Melinda should be a mentor.

What a great Idol recap!!

Forget female judges - let's have Adam, Simon & Keith :-D!! All right, maybe 1 female judge but she'd better be damn good & HONEST!!!!

I love Michael, too, but I would make Melinda Doolittle a judge. Her interactive skills on camera are great. She and Michael disagree all the time and she knows how to do that without making it tense. She is pretty low profile and has little to lose in the audience popularity contest so I think she would be honest. She has a great voice and a great ear.

IMHO there is no all-contestant judging panel without Kelly. I'm hoping she changes her mind about judging.

I know it is not going to happen , but have a reunion with the original judges next year. Now that would be GREAT. Paula, Simon and Randy.

NO RANDY EVAH AGAIN!!!

Adam and Angie had the guts to sing purely and simply and not just belt it out like so many of the others did. Adam's skill and nuance is amazing. Some of the "belters" really don't sing that well when they have to sing more softly. They lose their power. Adam does not lose a thing. His control and resonance is extraordinary. No wonder they got top kudos from reviewers. Saw the Candice/Jennifer duet for the first time, finally.

The field of former Idols as judging candidates is getting very crowded. I just pray that Adam continues to be a top contender. If they pass him up again, there is no justice. Who is a better choice? No one. I am still leery of an ALL Idol judging panel. Maybe two. I had a dream that it turned out to be Paula, Simon and Adam. Talk about a reunion!!!

DRG I hope your dream comes true.

They need someone to give honest constructive critism. I hate to say I usually agreed with Simon. He could have been more gentle at times. About the only time I didn't agree was when he was negative towards Adam.

I want them to get people that are in the industry, but are not well known to the public. I didn't know Randy or Simon befor idol and just knew one of Paula's songs. They don't need people that are there to promote their own stuff.

I love Adam, he is the Best! So nice to hear people say such great things about him. Thx Michael and Melinda.

@10:20 PM, How do you like Psy anti American and America hateful speech? Americans fall for anything and he's laughing all the way to the bank! Just think that crap performance got a standing ovation! I shake my head in disbelief!
