San Diego FOX 5 did a spotlight on Adam Lambert for the American Idol Season 12 Finale Night, May 16, 2013. They brought in local residents Carol Hagey and Lila Hayes, who run the oldest Adam Lambert fansite www.adam-lambert.org, to give a hometown touch to the broadcast. Adam Lambert is originally from Rancho Penasquitos, a San Diego suburb.

Yay!! I was going to post this somewhere in a thread but now it has it's own thread!!! Carol and Lila are friends of mine and have been for quite a while. We meet up when I venture down to Southern CA for Adam events, the next one being in San Diego as a matter of fact. Their blog was the first Adam Lambert blog that I ever read (along with 24/7) and the first one I became brave enough to post a comment on. I met them first in person at the first Fantasy Springs (oh so long ago!) and since then have become good "Adam Lambert" friends. It was very cool that they were interviewed by the San Diego TV station... Really great fans AND nice people. I met some other fans on that blog (Adam Lambert Official Unofficial) that have become very close personal friends as well.

I LOVE this fandom! So YAY Carol and Lila!!!!!

Me to, only follow Adam Lambert. Could not give him up after American Idol. Have to know what he is up to everyday. Was fortunate to fine this blog 24/7 and it is one of the best. My favorite. Adam's name is mentioned every day in my household. How about you?

In my family I`m the only one who has this extra special family member, Adam,
added to my life. Must check him up every day, how he is doing. My husband and sons know pretty good what I`m doing, but they are not so interested as me.Sometimes I make them listen like I did w about Adam`s GLAAD awards.
But I know they recognize his songs on the radio, so that`s all good! MS

Is there a rule at Fox that they can only show USA-based excerpts of AI artists successful tours. I have noticed that everytime I see reports about Adam's successful international career, I only see videos from AI shows or shows held in the US. Just curious. It would have been incredible to see excerpts of Adam's London, UK shows with QUEEN or clips from the Kiev show with that 250,000 people in attendance or shows in Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Russia, Germany, Italy, France, etc., etc.

This is 9:20 again. I am however really happy to see any report of anything Adam related anytime!!:))

9:20, I have often thought the exact same thing. Here he is singing to hundreds of thousands of people in huge venues world-wide, and we Glamberts are the only ones in the U.S. to see it? Seems crazy to me. Why doesn't the media here pick up on this stuff? If it has to do with rights to the videos, then I guess that's the reason. But if not, then there's no good reason, IMO.

@9:20 - I`d like to know about that too. It was great that Someone from the press asked Adam more about the Queen gigs and possible future plans with them. More awareness of what he has been doing.

I am a fan of a couple of other singers/bands besides Adam, one even from the city I live in, and I don't see their concerts reported on much either. I think it is the norm for the media rather than anything else.

The media is late to the party on many topics...anyone noticing that 8 months have passed and just this past 10 days the media has said there must be something underhanded in Libya.
