Adam named 5th best popstar in the world.

Really hoping that someday soon gay is not a divided category and just mainstream. No one tried harder to achieve appealing to all people,but lately he is categorized too much.Just my thoughts. Wish Adam could just get back to being Adam the musician. Just being himself inspires. (except the mugging on every shot almost)

OT: Has anyone received their Aura book on Adam yet? I preorder it almost 6 months ago?

U r right it should be just mainstream ....and in a perfect world it would be ..., but unfortunately it's not.... however maybe someday that will change .....but change takes action ....it takes people who are brave enough to push the boundaries ....to say this who I am....I'm just like u a human being....it would be great if someone else had come along first and cleared the way for Adam.... but sadly they was not the case .... so it has fallen to our dear Adam...:I have no doubt he he's up to the challenge and will someday change the face of what is considered mainstream ..I just hope it soon I'm not getting any younger .....rose petal

It is truly amazing that Adam is grouped with these top names when he has a fraction of the sales and radio play. It says a lot about his charisma and star power just by being himself. As for being mainstream, I think it's a much more interesting world when everyone doesn't just blend in. There are different types and factions and groups. They don't all mesh together, nor should they. Adam definately stands out in a crowd. That's the beauty of it all. He may not be at the top of the charts or get played on the radio twenty times an hour, but obviously there is something about him that draws attention. And not always in a bad way, either. He is respected and admired by many in and out of the music business for his musical talent and for his charity and social issues efforts.

I follow Adam because he IS so different, not in spite of it. Yes, he is polarizing, but that in itself means that he is making a difference in the world. Some other pretty humdrum people make it to the top of the charts. Adam has a lot more to offer. We've all said that being an Adam fan is a rocky road, but a road worth taking IMO.

Lang's So in Love and Darren Hayes' Insatiable.......as a straight woman it doesn't bother me a bit that one song is sung by a lesbian and one by a gay man. Love is Love.

BTW...here in Tampa yesterday the county commission voted in favor of repealing a ban on the county govt. recognizing any Gay Pride issues. The ban has been in effect for 13 years.....good news and surprisingly the vote was 7-0. A tiny beam of light in this community.
Of course, a dissenting voice was heard....a pastor of a local Baptist church pronounced "I believe the real cost to our county if we do this is we'll lose the favor of God."

@JAK Hearing such comments from a "pastor" makes the future seem bleak, but times are slowly changing -hurray for Tampa in their repeal!
I also adore kd Lang, especially her version of Hallelujah. I always wished Adam would do a cover of this song! I would love new music from Adam, but there are so many wonderful songs out there to sing!

@DRG Yes I read that Adam is in the studio. He is keeping things very quiet this time. I think he said too much last time and then we kept getting disappointed by the soon ish time frame. I know his next album will be great and if the promo and roll out are done right this time Adam will get the recognition he deserves and a few top hits!

Darren Hayes "Insatiable" is the sexiest song. In many ways that its what Adam is to his fans. Can't get enough!

Adam was in the studio with some nobody band that sauli knows, it's not like he was in the studio with the kind of people he made his last albums with. Who knows what he was doing.

It's a fact who he was in the studio with, not a rumor. We don't know why he was there. Maybe recording a demo for a song he got from someone. I don't think he is writing with them or recording for an album with them.

8 26 thats because people keep trying to make him into a political figure. All he ever wanted was to live life the way he does and perform his songs.

He's being pushed in another direction other than music, hope he prioritizes the tunes first and foremost, the rest will fall into place.

I don't think he is being pushed by anyone. He is taking the opportunities that are coming his way and trying to stay visible and busy. If he didn't have these lgbt events he would be in worse shape.

Please request Adam's songs on ENERGY RADIO UK. Follow them on twitter or face book. On twitter the station is planning to have an Adam Lambert hour of music each month and they play his songs a lot. We need to show our support for this wonderful on line international station. On their home page their is a request form and message box. They listen to requests!

8:26, Pride month is as important as Black History month. Members of either community are part of the mainstream but are often marginalized or face prejudice and public attention to the issues are necessary. The only one categorizing Adam is you. He has never left being a musician/singer.

12:41 Thanks for the great link! Yes, Adam is right up there with big names. Amazing, since he hasn't sold multi-millions and doesn't get decent radio play. What could it be about him that still puts him in the elite category? Could it be charisma, star power, personality, intelligence, wit, sense of humor, generosity, charity?? Maybe it isn't all about the sales and the radio. Maybe other things are recognized as well.

@9:03 & 10:18. Re AURA Magazine. I don't think it's even been printed yet. They are not going to print until they have a certain amount of orders - which they don't have yet. I also ordered back in Jan. and they charged my credit card immediately. So, I'm paid up - but no magazine. Being very patient.

JAK, Ive also been a big fan of Darren Hayes from his Savage Garden days. I just love Bloodstained Heart also. I saw him sing this on live TV. He was wonderful.

As a manner of fact Adam has sold multi millions of singles and albums. Over two million first album, I do think second album sold well abroad. FyI sold better in Amaerica than second. He sold close to 5 million of first album's singles, that not to count second singles abroad. He gets good radio play abroad, and did get radio play for first album America. Why did he just get Glaad Award what was the explaination's for this from Glaad. Got it for is extensive work with the the Gay community and the fact that he continues to be one of the best saler's world wide, that straight from what they said! He also had quite a few top ten, and no. 1 abroad on singles! His first album was no. 3, second no. 1 no matter how many sold. Very few are huge cd saler's any more.the real money in concerts and Adam proven he can be there, especially abroad. He a magnificent concert performer. I certainly hope the third ones the charm filling all slots again, world wide Adam done much better than lot think, because of his world wide popularity, that nearly all from idol do not have. Most if they fail in America they have failed, fortunately Adam has a fandom abroad. I have a big feeling lots of surprises on album three. I am sure what I saying doesn't count for nothing, but the man has done so much better than most think. That took a lot out of a weak girl like me! Have nice day!! Sue

Darren is the vocalist on all, but some are under his name and some when he was with Savage Garden.

He is a great fan of Adam's and has said very nice things in the press in U.K. and Australia about him from the time of Idol.

His music is on my Drift and Dream playlist. I would vibrate with happiness if Adam would put out an album of love songs using his "sweet romantic voice". And a whole album of real rock in his "shake the rafters voice".

I know some people are in favor of a mix up of music on one album, but then there are those who have said to me....."I only play the fast rock type songs on FYE and TP
and others who only like the romantic and/or dramatic ballads."

???? Wish RCA and Adam would give it a try.
