I can imagine how incredible that must have been to be in rehearsal and to hear Adam interpret that song. I JUST learned that Brian wrote that song, not Freddy. I learned it by watching an old Queen video, live, where Freddy introduces WWTLF as a new song, written by Brian. It means that much more that Brian could have his gorgeous song sung by Adam, so brilliantly.
I am SOOOOO glad the extended audience was able to hear Adam's brilliant rendition of WWTLF. I think it does to most everyone who hears it, what it did to Brian except much moreso for Brian because of the deep meaning behind that terrific song he wrote.
There is such a respect and admiration that Brian and Adam have for each other. That was Adam at his best singing WWTLF; he was truly amaaaazing. Wouldn't it be great if Queen and Adam did several concerts here in the states. The posiitive comments about the iheartradio show would guarantee ticket sell outs. But I suppose Adam wants to work on his solo career and he's probably starting his work on Glee sometime soon. At least we have the video to watch over and over again.
Q104.3 New York a very big Rock station is going to play some Adam and Queen tonight between 8 and 10 p.m. Eastern time. You can listen live on their station. This will be listened to by many many rock fans!Go listen and tweet them your appreciation.
Watching over, and over and over again; too many times to count I am so addicted. Each time I enter my home office, I have to put it on. Then the kitchen computer and on and on. I use my earphone so the family won't think I have gone completely crazy. I think I am addicted to Adam Lambert's macnificent voice. Listening now while I type this. Guess I better go have dinner. His voice makes me forget all my cares.
Q104.2 played Enter Sandman, brings back memories of Adam singing that on Tommy Jo's birthday. Such great classic rock songs they are playing, really like this station. I'm kind of a rock and roll gal at heart!
@4:39pm Googled the reason Brian May wrote "Who Wants To Live Forever" & this is what I found:
'Queen was commissioned to write this for the movie Highlander, and Brian May wrote it after watching the first cut of the film. He wrote the line "Who wants to live forever" in a cab on his way home from the viewing of the film. Inspiration came from the scene where Connor Macleod (Christopher Lambert) takes his dying wife Heather (Biettie Edney) in his arms at the time of her death. This is also the scene where the song is played.
*In the film, Freddie Mercury sings the first verse, but on the album, Brian May sings the first verse and Freddie sings the rest.*
@4:00 Thank you for digging that out. Did not know that. Wish there were more friendly Anons like you, instead of those "google it" commenters... To those I say: Try doing a small service every now and then for your fellow fans across the world, it may make you feel better, too! I'm so thankful for all posters of info & links!

5:29, it was answered above that it was written by
Brian for Highlander. And what is wrong with googling stuff for yourself?
