I watched everyone of those clips while it was happening. I'll be watching this year too.

Nice sort clip of Adam, but I didn't hear them even say his name.

Yes, but they didn't mention Kris Allen's name either - barely showed him except for getting hugged by Adam.
But we got FOOTAGE of handsome Adam singing. No words needed!!

Why Aike got more camera time and a shout out? Never heard any of his music on radio. Adam's music is still played on radio. Well I know I won't be watching anyone of these big corporation talent exploitation TV shows.

They should show adam clip performing with queen at iheart radio just saying.

Suit yourself, but remember that this "big corporation talent exploitation show...." ie American Idol, was the "vehicle" that brought us the wonderful and amazingly talented Adam Lambert. I have no complaints... And am eternally grateful to them. Just saying............

omg talk about entitled fans. AI has been going strong with Idols for 13 years now do you realize how many of them would have loved to have been in that short video?

I really don't think a fan should be labeled entitled every time they expect Adam to be treated with the same respect as others. Adam has been Idol's biggest spokes person. Always talking about how much Idol has done for him; and he just raved about them again, almost non-stop in his Glee promo.

They could have at least mentioned Adam's name out loud. Adam did have a few accomplishments that could have been mentioned. Adam has done a lot for children's charities also.
Didn't Clay break his contract with them and there were talks of law suits.

We can talk all day about the ones that wish they had been on there. That is not the point; the point here is Adam Lambert getting the fair treatment that he deserved after all the free publicity the wonderful man has given this show.

For this Grammy nominated, and one of the best entertainer to ever grace this show, (be damned the awards and record sales because of lack of radio play and other obvious factors) to be slighted like this, to me is a disgrace. I don't feel entitled; but I do feel that Adam is entitled to at least be given the recognition and respect of at least having his name said out loud; in case I glanced away from the television when his picture flashed by. Who ever put this together, was not very thoughtful Adam; one's of the shows biggest advocates.

Many other past contestants talk highly about Idol too. They wrote his name on the screen and he was shown twice. He has been on every year since his year and he even had a little segment about him last year. 12:37 should have used the word whiny.

Really a bit annoying..Adam one of the best ever on that show.. Grammy nominated. First world tour after Idol,World wide fame, up for Idol judgeship every year.. oh well preaching to the choir.

I do have to give Idol credit for producing so many stars.. none of the other reality shows have.

In the end, without Idol would we be here today loving ADAM?

More Adam for God's Sake! grrrrrrrrr

I am eternally greatful to Idol for introducing me to the talented Mr. Lambert. He has enriched my life not only by his talent but by his humanity. I have learned a lot from him about music, fashion, theatre, gay rights and a multitude of things. I am so lucky to be a fan of this man.

True AI gave Adam the exposure he needed. It couldn't have been easy fitting into the AI box but Adam conquered it and we and the world fell in love with him. So many winners even haven't become international stars but Adam's loved in so many countries.

Don't need to say Adam's name . . . it's a given . .

Sorry looking at this still hurts . . what they did . . . I will get over it some day . .
for now I got BB to listen to and see on Glee....

Aike sued Idol and now they are kissing his butt.

Adam had nothing but praise Idol at his interviews even abroad constantly. They could have said his name at least.

no idol no carrie no adam no kelly

7:35 why and when did Aiken sue AI?

@4:33 AM

No one is being whiny; fans are expressing the way they feel, just as I assume you are.

As far Adam being shown twice, you have got to be kidding; you mean when they showed Kris Allen, "their winner" being announced while Adam was shown giving him a congratulations hug. Painful to look at. May I remind you, that was Kris Allen's moment; not Adam Lambert's. Of course they have Adam on every year, he is a big rating's draw; good for Idol and good for Adam.

I am so please that Adam is getting so much love and admiration for his continued hard work since Idol; from all over the world. His debut on Glee was a major success from so many media outlets, and fans, new and old. More than 4,000 more twitter followers, and tweets from fans and celebrities alike. Adam tweeted a "thank you" to everyone.
He is so thoughtful.

On his Glee promo, he acknowledged Idol again; he is such a gracious, humble hard working young man; love him.

Don't forget Glamberts; he will be on Ellen again Monday. I am off to a Birthday barbecue, and I have Adam's CD's with me, of course! Have a great day everybody.

No denying that Adam is grateful to Idol and Idol has a feather in its cap for "discovering" such a deserving star. Like many of us here, I want Adam to always be at the center of sttention, even it comes to Idol. To us, he is the best contestant the show has ever had. I think this promo collage was just fine. I would have liked his name to have been said aloud, but he did get the face time. He's so GREAT. I'm not going to stew over this preceived slight. I don't think there was and conscious intent to do so at all.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to me, Ryan is Idol and he has had MANY opportunities to toot Adam's horn. Ryan is now getting on the band wagon because he can't avoid it. Adam is on Glee a major show so he has to be acknowledged. I don't want to sound mean, but idol still wants main-stream talent, so for me, Adam deserves much more from Idol. That being said, I am thrilled with the better-late-than-never, accolades Adam has been getting of late. Thank goodness Adam doesn't appear to have my attitude. Maybe I too am suffering over seeing the shot of Adam losing to Chris -just plain heartbreaking and painful.
Idol please don't show that picture of Adam and Chris again!

I agree. I felt bad when the couldn't mention Adam's name atleast. What has Clay A done recently and he was mentioned. Adam sings every year for them on the show. They must feel he is a draw for them. Go figure.

@9:33 AM & @10:23 AM

Congratulations to you both, for not being afraid to express, how many fans of this wonderful man feel. To me you are telling it like it is.

Actually, Adam should be Idol's paid spokes person. In that Glee promo of Adam; I have never heard past Idols speak that highly of Idol. Someone with all that talent coming from Idol, and speaking so highly of it. What a big impression those few words from Adam probably meant to so many people watching him.

If you go by talent being showcased, then this was a gigantic snub. Those that want to praise a crumb without mentioning the name of the cookie it came from out loud; have at it; but count me out.

Can't wait to see our BB again on Ellen this Monday; and Adam back on Glee again on Thanksgiving night. Can't wait; will resume watching the show then.

Read this an eye opening article:

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/844801

I am done with supporting big corporations. I thank Adam for putting himself out in the public not big organization. I have many talented friends who refuse to partcipate in any one of these talent shows. My support of Adam is way more amplified because truly now I support an artist who doesn't have big organizations' feet on his shoulder anymore.

And the whiny, entitled, unrealistic, complaining fans are out again. The commercial could have been nothing but Adam and you would have found something to complain about. How sad your lives must be to always see things this way.

Anonymous said...

Just.when we.think Adam has gained the respect he deserves something like this comes out. Yes it does break our hearts. Can't help feeling lost for words.

Anonymous said...

@12:31 PM - It is you who protests too much. Cheer Up!....nancdruuu2
p.s...An all Adam commercial would be fabulous - good idea!

From an international fan's POV:

AmIdol/Simon C said they are/were looking for an international superstar!

Well, ADAM LAMBERT is the ONLY international superstar this show has "produced" and had the good fortune of having on their stage as a competitor, as a mentor AND as a fantastic performer to show all past and future contestants how the job is done!

THIS is what every fan of AmIdol knows if they're honest - and this is not to diss any of winners of AmIdol or their talents, but i n t e r n a t i o n a l l y no one of them is as successful, known and loved as Adam! PERIOD.
