Bonnie mckees album was first pushed back from fall 2013 to next spring and will now only be an EP. Just mentioning for people who constantly whine about adam not getting enough support. Bonnie is a huge talent but her single didnt hit it big. Lucky for her she is a multimillionaire from all her songwriting.

So many people think all they have to do is tell their favorite singer to put out a new album to make it happen. Wrong.

Totally agree about Bonnie she writes all these #1 songs for other people, but can't get the songs she sings on the radio. The music industry is such a racket.

I'm sure this thread is dead so I don't know why I'm bothering posting, but I just wanted to thank you for your post. It really made me think - Bonnie's American Girl single not hitting top Chart spots. It was the perfect recipe for a top summer Top 40 track, sooo interesting, in a bad way, that it didn't make it up the charts too much. It doesn give one pause to contemplate the "racket" nature of radio nowadays doesn't it!! But yes, good for her for working hard and having a great bank account for her talents and passion!

5:59, must not be a dead thread yet ;)

Not only did Bonnie's song sound like a summer hit the video had so many other famous singers in it. You know all their fans watched it as we did to see Adam, so it had tons of exposure. Still wasn't whatever is needed to make it up the charts.

Actually 7:01, you know what's funny about that... the video with all the famous singers was NOT actually the officially released video released for the song. The video officially released for the song had a bit of a controversial theme (don't have time to go into, RL knocking on my door hard :)), and at that time I often wondered if hurt or helped whatever success the American Girl single did have. The video was sort of, and don't anybody be angry at this phrase please, it's not meant meanly, I am rushing... it, the video, went for sort of a "kasha trashy" vibe, and though I didn't personally love it, I sort of understood why Bonnie might have wanted to go there, and I actually thought the video would help propel the single (which annoys me on a whole other level, that speaks to our society and youth and all that nowadays, LOL) ... well, in any event, I truly do NOT get why it didn't do better!
