I know it was very funny, but Queen music has become sacred ground to me. Queen = Adam and I don't like to see anyone else there even if it's a joke! Of course, if it was Adam making the joke it would be an entirely different matter! Maybe I'm losing my sense of humor. I only want to see Adam in that role! nancdruuu2
I thought it was funny, he made me laugh out loud. Another reason I liked it was that it means that Queen + Adam Lambert are becoming known as a group performing this summer. A lot of people know about the tour, it is becoming very talked about, which is very good. Doesn't matter whether people approve or disapprove of the group, the thing is everyone has heard about it, which is huge for Adam, to get his name out there. Also to help sales with his new album. After singing with Queen, his new album might be a bit of a shock, because I don't expect his new songs will be like Queens well known ones. Adam's other 2 albums are not like Queens music at all. I personally will buy anything that will be out there, Adam singing with Queen, and also his new album, because I like most all of his stuff. I just like Adam and most things he does, not all, but most.
I read that Adam said his performance with Queen will not be sexy, and will be appropriate for all ages. Well, I don't think Adam can drop sexy, he just is. May be he won't do the hip thrusts, but he is sexy just looking at you.
I saw Jimmy Fallon's show the evening Paul was there doing this Queen song. Both he and Jimmy were hilarious doing the lip syncing bit. Now whenever I hear a Queen song on the radio and I hear Freddie's voice, in my imagination I substitute Adam's voice......the voice that's one in a billion.
JAK here....I've been doing some Queen reminiscing since the good news was announced. Looking up some of the old videos and getting a laugh. They were outrageous at times. Killer Queen was a naughty one, then......Bicycle Race, where they rented Wimbledon Stadium to film the video with 65 naked women on bikes racing!......and Fat Bottom Girls! I had forgotten that video, but watching Freddie again makes me think that Tim Curry must have had Freddie in mind when he played Dr. Frank N Furter in the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. :-)))
The guys def had a sense of humor,or, as they would write...humour! Roger and Brian would enjoy Paul Rudd's take on their song.
3:44, I don't see how this makes you think it means Queen + Adam as a group was the reason for this. Queen is already iconic and frequently used for things like this.
On a bio channel,a few yrs ago,a lady( maybe in England) said Freddie was a very naughty boy.She knew him when he was very young and before Queen,I believe.I can see that. You can imagine-all kinds of pranks, and worse-Some things were not as accepted then as much as now.Freddie was very wild she said.An unknown look-a-like would need to play him IF a movie is ever made.Maybe it would be better to never hash up all of his past, tho.(???)
Hmm I read that Freddie was a very serious art student with a love of music, in search of a band to join.He was a talented artist, he designed the Queen logo incorporating all of the bands zodiac signs in a seal similar to the royal seal of Queen Elizabeth.

Jimmy should invite Adam to lip synch to Queen. That would be hilarious. Maybe Adam could grab the mic and start singing in the middle of it.
Paul was marvelous, I wish I had watched the show.
......JAK
No lip synch for Adam . . .Paul was great . . .funny

Ha, ha this really made me laugh.
Hey I laugh at some of the things Freddie did! But all in good fun. I liked the lady with the mustache!
