Wish he could perform in the finale!!! He will rock the stage!!!!

Is Adam's name being used to generate interest in Idol again? I'm not taking the bait.

If Adam's on Idol, I'm interested.. even it is only a verrrrry cryptic comment....

WTH are they talking about. They must know already, who will be performing in the Finale. If it's not going to be Adam , then they know already there will be a big stink, and repercussions. It's the only reason I can think of why they have not said who will be performing. There should be no reason for secrecy .

They haven't really announced who will be performing on the Finale yet..At least I don't believe I've heard anything... (We should start hearing bits and pieces about who's going to be appearing soon.. And sometimes we don't know until that night, about just exactly who will be making appearances on the Finale... Queen and KISS were both surprises on the Season 8 Finale, as I recall... We generally hear about some of the Stars performing, but some are a surprise, or a very last minute announcement...

I have my fingers crossed that Queen + Adam will be performing.. And here's why I at least have some hopes that it will happen:

**Adam and Queen will be doing their first official US gig toward the latter part of June (iHeart Theater promo in LA..), shortly before the first kick-off concert in Chicago. They will undoubtedly be starting rehearsals soon-ish.. Perhaps in LA..because that would make sense. For example, the iHeart Theater is promoted as available for band rehearsals before their tours start, etc.., So perhaps they may use it (just my wild guess!! nothing to back it up...)..

**The Idol Finale would be the PERFECT launch for their North American Tour Promo (and Asian tour too..).. Millions would be made aware of the upcoming concerts.. Excellent Promo!!!

**Adam is one of the biggest success stories/performers to come off of Idol. Good promo for Idol... they can pat themselves on the back :))) Another win/win...

**Queen is one of the biggest most iconic bands of all time... So why not???

I could certainly be all wrong, and chances are I may well be...But it's fun to think about the possibilities.. After all, we're fans!!!

If Adam were to perform on the finale, I would rather see him than the three finalists. Sorry, but these contestants were nothing special and I wonder if any of the top 3 will have success in the music business. I doubt Adam would appear with Queen. It's not about them, but about selecting the winner of Idol for this season. I would be happy just to see Adam seated in the audience and pointed out as one of the mentors this season.

Just curious.. Have you watched the Idol Finale's??

They do have performers who do not perform with the finalists/other top contestants.. Not many, but a few... Lady Gaga comes to mind, from a couple of years ago....

Just remaining hopeful until I hear otherwise.. But also not getting my hopes up :)))

Actually I really enjoy Adam on the red carpet doing a few interviews and shots of him in the audience. Last year there last minute ad ons like Jesse J.

@glitzylady....JAK here.....I have had the same hopeful quivery feeling inside. Having Adam and Queen would boost the prestige of Idol and their contestants.....sort of a "look what can happen to our Idol graduates!" and a perfect world wide chance to announce the tour.

Why would Idol or Queen+Lambert not want this to happen.....and I'm thinking...as a surprise! My fingers are crossed, wishin' and hopin'... :-)

It would be out of this world if Queen + Adam will happen again on Idol finale. But I doubt it will. Cause the show is about the contestants. I think it will be like last year. Adam might perform with Caleb. Then Adam will go to London for rehearsal. Then back to LA for iHeart promo concert before the tour.

Have all the judges performed already this year. I know they have in past years, promoting their own music.

They just named some of the entertainers that are going to be on the finale and will name some more tomorrow. P2 was one on them.

As far as Adam goes, it may not be possible for Queen to come over at this time. If they are just having past winners, then for sure Queen will not be on the list. It will be a miracle if Adam is being asked. Is it assumed that Caleb will win, Adam might not want to sing with any of them. Adam should have spare time for it though.

Only Adam can save the show! It would be so amazing to hear Adam sing on Idol! Pleazzzzzzzz!!!

Darius Rucker, Demi L. Sharon Nettles were some of the names mentioned I remembered for the finale.

The young lady said that she would be singing with Demi L., that is all I heard when I stopped watching. Just watched off and on tonight to see if they would say anything about Adam.

They showed Clay Akin at the beginning and what he was doing more than anyone and he did not win, and after that; just the winners; I was surprised by that.
At least that is what I saw, may have missed something. I just think Idol is nothing like it used to be. Sorry, Adam just spoiled me!! The judges, seem all about them!

glitzy, I share all your "reasons" for why Adam and Queen should be on the finale. But I have my doubts, unless it's being kept as a huge surprise. It would be an incredible promo for their tour. I wonder where Adam and Queen will actually be on that night? Sounds like there is a nice line-up of performers, though. Enjoy!

Adam did perform last year, that would be two in a roll. Maybe it will happen. However I think next year is Adams year new Album , music. Pretty sure he will perform sometimes during year. It will be a very busy year. But it would be great if that happened the Queen thing.

Queen+Adam would be fabulous, but if not.... this is my not so humble opinion:

If they cannot see and let Adam be the Shining Star that he is - that he was already 5 years ago!!! - Adam should stay away from Idol.

No more duets with current competitors, not with Caleb or anyone, he's done that already! He deserves so much more than "letting the current contestant shine" or "blendin in" or what ever was said last year. No more awkward moments on stage like the Jessie J hoopla last year. That was so awful towards Adam and gutwrenching to watch!

And if there are singers like P2 in the finale, American Idol for sure does not care about it's international audiences! The only one to come out of this show with international star power is ADAM LAMBERT!

PS. Isn't Darius Rucker a country singer nowadays, too! LOL

Yes , the former frontman of Hootie and the Blowfish is now an award winning country music singer. Darius Rucker is doing okay.

Tape Idol each week but so far have only watched when Adam was mentor and deleted the rest. Just can't get excited about the show. Admit to reading some of the articles regarding contestants, judges and Ryan but not many articles interest me. Adam is the only one I follow.

Sometimes it is sad to see them push some of these past winners and non-winners with no mention of Adam Lambert, the all time best; that has ever graced that Idol stage!

Adam is the best in our opinion. But there are thousands who feel that K.Clarkson, C. underwood, C. Aiken or P. Phillips was the very best. That's life.

Well at least they mentioned them! Maybe I missed something!

Nothing against Idol as a concept. Just sad that it seems to be not so much about talent and finding true star potential (remember Simon C's words?!) as a show for wgwg's and almost like platform for finding new country music performers... And then there's ADAM, the ONLY TRUE STAR in every possible way!!!

PS. Darius has a fantastic voice, too - and imo that voice is wasted singing c&w music... Was a huge fan when Hootie & The Blowfish first showed up many years ago.
