Yes, Adam seems relaxed and ready for a QueenBert showdown. He looks relaxed; perhaps at the back of his mind, he knows his two paternal sifu have his back. When I watch his QueenBert videos, he seems to have higher concentration in his performance; case in point, the IHeart WWTLF performance...that to me was difficult; because it involved his entire concentration but he is a natural and does it with ease. With his own band, he has to semi-direct them and sing/perform at the same time but still okay, he's a perfectionist. I think the first one in Chicago will burst with a bang and those who get to see the first show will be special.

@Lam-my I sensed that Adam with first shows usually gets a little nervous. He even talked about it with Slezak. Sometimes being a perfectionist isn't a good thing cause it makes one to over think about things that aren't significant later on. Sort of fear of unknown or insignificant matters. Takes a lot of energy out of one for no reason. Hence effects overall performance.

Adam seems happy and relaxed and really confident. I find that super attractive, and it looks like I'm not the only one. I am always happy to see pictures of Adam in a fun social setting. I'm sure he is at a point in his career already where he feels like he's living his dream.

Yes, well pointed out; actually I used to be like that, it's called anxiety, now a bit less. Like you said, subsequently, I realise there is no need for the anxiety, which is difficult to control at that point in time. As for Adam, he might have gone past that kind of anxiety, but I too notice in the subsequent shows, he feels more at ease, like having more fun. At one point of his GNT, he was even able to sing and quell a fight by a couple in the audience. lol! Now thinking back, how can two people quarrel when such a beautiful voice is so soothing. lol! Like his tattoo says: music soothes the savage beast. Also his frame of mind at the shows is highly important; so like I said Brian and Roger will to some extent assure that because Adam has great confidence in these two music veterans.

JAK here.....I'll have to admit that I am tired of g'son's beard, it's a little over 6 months old. I asked him recently "when do you think you'll be shaving the beard off?"
He looked startled and raised his hand to his cheek as if to protect the beard and said "You want me to kill Albert?"

I passed on my tendency to anthropomorphize inanimate objects to my children. Some of you probably do it too!
I've named every car I've ever had, my cactus garden is filled with Western Stars....John Wayne, Roy Rogers, etc. Most of you are perhaps familiar with my computer, Dell-a and my newest little one....Applette..
My mini iPad.

It's a curse....I name everything and now a new generation does the same. I'm afraid Albert will be around quite awhile.

I guess we'll be living with Melvin.......until they have a 'falling out' and Adam banishes him!

I'm over facial hair. Every Tom, Dick, Harry & maybe more than one Adam has it. I'm a fan of originality, not conformity.

Haha JAK.
I have a house called Gert, a (vintage) French car called Irma (La Douce) & a truck called Tyrone.

The first is the first; so it is special with sweet anticipation. The last is special because the last sentimental show. But, oh those shows in between the first and last, just macnificent. The good part with Queen and Adam; each performance just gets betterand better(er); and something special happens in each show.

We lucky people that get to experience this, no matter what show we have the honor to see; or even the folks that get to experience this on video or streaming. Lord have mercy; this is going to be the best summer and fall ever! Cannot wait for Queen+Adam Lambert; sweet anticipation is driving me mad!!

Ha, ha; I bet Adam, or any of our young folks are glad we don't get to dress them or make decisions about their appearances. They would probably be twisted 9 ways til Sunday; mainly because everyone has a different take on their personal appearance, and that is a choice only they can make themselves. This must be their decision, especially if they are going to be comfortable and happy with the outcome, which is the most important thing!

Thank goodness for individual tastes. As long as Adam is healthly and happy; and singing from his beautiful soul, that is good enough for me. Besides, I personally think he looks fantastic; and oh that beautiful smile; brightens up a hard days night!

Wow! three very handsome man! Especially the one in the middle; in my very bias opinion of course!

That beard very well manicured and he looks sensational! Very handsome in deed. Sue

There's nothing individual about this hair and facial hair fashion young men are currently shipping.

Look at these three handsome guys, exactly same facial hair shaven exactly the same way....

Soooo wishing Adam shaves it off!!!
BTW, this is the first time I've said that EVER!

I had to get used to Adam's facial hair but now find it so sexy on so sexy and talented man..

My son of 20 yrs young has this same look of facial hair with very short sides. His girl friend likes it. I tell him, Mullahs in Iran are so happy that their look is so fashionable around the world. Hoping he'll grow his hair and shave his facial hair. No such a luck yet.

Whether every man in the world chose to wear facial hair; or long or short hair; or go bald; it is still each individual's choice to choose which ever look they want; so of course it is an individual choice.

It Adam shaved his face; there would be those that would say he is copying all the men that have clean shaven face. I say; Adam do what you darn well please, and most fans will love it. If not; so what? As long as Adam is happy and feels good about himself, that is all that really matters.

Sing, baby sing, and do your thing!

Of course it's their individual choice, but nothing individual about this look. And it's been "in" so long, it should be "out" already, lol.

@5:41 AM June 6....JAK here...OT everyone..... "Gert" sounds homey and welcoming, I like it!

My house is just called The Cottage. Years ago, we had to move quickly due to my husbands promotion, I had to find a house fast.....in one wild day with a realtor I looked at and rejected dozens. Then she pulled up in the driveway of a house that looked like none other. It was a rectangle with a very high pitched roof looming over it..... My girls and I walked across the street to get a better view...my 7 yr old and 10 year old were enchanted and begged "let's buy this one".

To them and me it looked like a house in a storybook.
The roof and shutters at the windows and sills wide enough for window boxes sold us. It seemed like a cottage inside too. Not open and spacious, but a rabbit warren of many small rooms and comfy nooks. The ceiling was rather low which added to the effect. I loved it and bought it. My husband didn't see it till after we signed the deed.

Our expert, my dad, approved. He said it had a 'hip roof' which was safer in high winds and he was right, we got a discount on our hurricane insurance.

About 10 years later, vacationing with a friend we were driving thru Holland and I saw my house and roof everywhere! They all looked like mine! My Dutch house was an immigrant who settled in Florida!!!!!

No wonder it looked alien to all the sprawling ranch style houses on the street. How it got there among them is a mystery.
