Didn't Paula say "I feel like this isn't an American Idol performance but a Adam Lambert rock concert." You were wrong, Paula, because you could never imagine MSG - even in your wildest dreams. Nobody could back in those days. Ain't it great. Adam, you are awesome, handsome, a good person, and most importantly having a damn good time. Wow. It all comes to this, and this is so totally awesome it's hard to look back and see how far Adam has come in such a short time. Believe in your dreams, work hard - they may come true.

Hollywood Reporter review:

Queen + Adam Lambert Create Magic at Madison Square Garden (Video)

Back in March, when the Queen + Adam Lambert tour was first announced, Lambert sat in the front lobby of Madison Square Garden and told reporters that playing the famed arena was a dream of his.

On July 17, Lambert’s dream came true as he stood in front of a packed house that included View host Whoopi Goldberg, stepping in for the late Freddie Mercury on a summer night that Queen guitarist Brian May said was filled with “magic.”

Standing behind a curtain and shrouded in a dark silhouette, Lambert seemed to take a moment to gather himself before unleashing his masterful vocal acrobatics on the opening number, “Now I’m Here.”

It was a dramatic moment -the realization of a boyhood fantasy come true.

When May asked the crowd how they liked “the new guy,” Lambert was greeted with cheers, to which he humbly responded, “Thanks, guys.”

Time Square Gossip:

QUEEN IS THE PERFECT VEHICLE FOR ADAM LAMBERT

QUEEN ADAM --- From PR-pasha Randy Alexander, who was sitting front-and-center: “Thrilled I decided at the last minute to pick up tix and take my son Harrison to see the Queen and Adam Lambert concert last night. Never much paid any attention to Lambert before, nor have I ever had any desire to consider even semi-seriously following him. But after seeing him last night fronting Queen, he's got a new fan right here, certainly in this vehicle.

To say he was perfect in this role is with the greatest respect to Freddie Mercury. I saw the tour with Paul Rodgers six years ago, and Lambert energizes the band in a way Rodgers never did. Lambert not only has the natural flamboyance, but his original interpretations of the Queen catalogue and how to present these indelible songs vocally and theatrically were spot-on while making them his own.

More astounding was how effortlessly he delivered his vocal acrobatics - dare I say even more effortlessly than Freddie himself, as was proven each time the video screen gave us the chance to compare/contrast against vintage Mercury clips. True, there was and will only be one Freddie Mercury, rest his soul. But with Lambert out front, ya gotta hand it to him - this version is a greater tribute than ever imagined. It's Killer Queen.”

Adam definitely has some tummy showing, he better get back to his Pilates, instead of shopping.
The suit hides a lot, which is good. Even though he is still somewhat thin, I think he has gained at least 10 lbs. I know it's hard to eat right while travelling, and I am sure no time for those healthy smoothies.

Hahahaa Someone actually criticizing Adam and saying he's gained some weight! Adam is the most beautiful man on Earth! Geez, bullies are everywhere! Sad..........nancdruuu2

If Adam gained 10 pounds as someone suggested, he probably wouldn't be able to fit into the costumes he wears each night. He looks terrific to me.

That person haven't watch him live with Queen for sure!!:)

There is still time and buy tickets to see him very fit indeed!!!:)

Adam looks and defines P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N that night at MSG!
Stunningly PERFECT!!!

Someone says (they think) Adam has gained weight and is immediately called a bully. Paranoia much.

@4:49.....Seriously?
Lololol. Oh my....

Um,what does his weight matter? Are we a society so obsessed with skinny that we will point out something so trivial! And yes it is a bit like bullying or teasing to call a person's weight into question because of a photo. Even if he was heavy would that stop his voice, would that make him less who he was. He campaigns against this kind of stuff and yet people still insist of classifying and criticizing for the smallest imperfection. If you don't like his body it is your problem not his, get over yourself.

Even other reviewers took issue with the NYT's review. They are STILL talking about it!

Great excerpt here. After quoting from the NYT review (making poor references to Adam's performance), Mr. Hueber (the reviewer) had this to say:
"To be fair, the reviewer(of the NYT) goes on to say that Queen, one of the biggest rock and roll bands of the 1970s and 80s, is simply a studio band with overdubbed vocals and guitar riffs, which immediately calls into question the reviewers credentials to judge a rock show."

- BAM!

Here it is for persual & enjoyment:
