That's the show I saw it was amazing. Just loved the one I saw! I did not see this one. But the reviewer caught the magic of this wonderful concert. Best I have ever seen! The constant sold out concerts and cheers of a good old time are plenty proof as well. So many discovering Adams brilliant talent. About time!

EXCELLENT and heartfelt review. Giving Adam credit for what he does best; entertain us to the fullest. There are so many good reviews, and the Queen and Adam concerts deserve them without a doubt; but, this is among one of the most thought provoking and un bias ones, in my opinion. I hope that fans will give lots of comments to the reviewers who are really being fair; and not to the ones who are being overly critical just to get hits. Why reward them for their apparent skewed remarks against Adam just for expectant fan responses? Let them bite the dust!!

Obviously a typo... I think I can give him a pass on that :))) The rest of the review was fabulous!

I do expect reviewers to get the day right. If the NYT reviewer had gotten the day wrong people would have been all over that as proof of his stupidity.

12:52, I really don't think the LA Times and NY Times did it for hits. They aren't scrounging for hits. I'm sure they consider their opinions fair. Not everybody likes the same things.

Fans obsession with invalidating the slightest negative comments in reviews is unnecessary and laughable.

The only thing that seems laughable is your defense of the Times newspaper organizations in such an aggressive manner. As far as that goes; it is well documented that the Times from way back in the day has never been supportive of Queen and Freddie Mercury. It is also well known that Freddie hated the press and stopped giving interviews.

We are not in the mind set of those particular reviewers; I don't know their motives and neither do you. They are humans with opinions just like the rest of us, although being paid for it, they also seem to be mostly in the minority as far as reviewers go. I remember when a Los Angeles Times Movie critic was fired for skewing his review toward stars he was hanging out with all the time.

They are entitled to their opinions, but so are the fans of both Queen and Adam; they are the audiences that have been filling the rafters of these concerts and have been coming out filled with joy, these are the reviewers that really count.

So I have to agree with the poster you are responding to. Also, you trying to tell fans that their differing opinions of the critics that you seem to think so highly of are excessive and unnecessary. Your response seems to be extreme and condescending.

Well many reviews are coming in as we comment and so far, all are overwhelmingly positive, as the majority have been since the Queen Plus Adam Tour started; that should make us all happy, shouldn't it?

@5:22, you may need to reread - 5:01 isn't bullying one bit! Good grief. I may or may not feel similarly, not jumping in on that, but the post is not of a bullying tone, & that I had to jump in on!

If a reviewer isn't praising Adam to the hilt, then there are Glamberts who say the reviewer wasn't even at the concert, the reviewer knows nothing about music, the reviewer has a pre-conceived opinion of Adam before he/she goes to the concert .... the reasons go on and on. Not everyone has the same opinion about Adam but there are people who won't accept that and hurl abuse at the reviewer in no uncertain terms. None of it does Adam and Glamberts any favors but I guess, to some people, that's not important.

Let it go already, geeeeez!

5:43am, I agree but I don't think they are ever going to get how their spitefulness for a less than stellar review is juvenile and hurts Adam when they leave nasty comments.

1:58 left a short opinion on the reaction to the negative reviews. 5:01 responded with a long and rude response dismissing 1:58's opinion.

Very typical of people on this site to demand they get an opinion but they don't allow others to have a different opinion.

The NYT reviewer never mentioned the crowd was sold out or that they were on their feet the whole concert cheering- something he should do, especially if he's going to be negative. It is responsible to call him out on it.

Care to explain that? My response would be (based upon what I THINK you are saying.....correct me if I'm wrong here...) is that is a very sweeping and general statement about Adam Lambert fans.. As an Adam Lambert fan myself :) (ie an admittedly proud "Glambert"), I'm ALSO a Queen fan, as a certain percentage of Adam fans are, and I also feel frustration at a few of the negative jabs at the remaining members of Queen. BUT since this is an Adam Lambert fan blog, the comments here tend to be Adam-centric..

So, just hoping we can get back to the flailing about this amazing Queen + Adam Lambert Tour, because by and large, the response has been fantastic.. The audiences in every venue have been loud and enthusiastic... and the venues are almost always full.. That speaks volumes..

Thanks for sharing that tweet. He sounds like all of us when we first discovered Adam's incredible talent. I loved how he thought Adam might get lost among these talented musicians but found he led the f****** parade! Lol.

Nile is going to the next concert I hope Adam hooks him up with a great seat!! Beautiful man indeed.

Based on that tweet we shouldn't be paying attention to any reviews because critics are no good.

I think the intent of the tweet is this:

"Ultimately the best music wins out..regardless of what the music critics say"..

It's still interesting..and often gratifying...to read a review of your favorite band or artist or vocalist, and see that someone heard the same things you did...

Or get a different perspective than you had.

@glitzlady - agree with you but also agree with @11:29. Many times you can learn much more from a different perspective than from one you agree with. I want to read all reviews both pro and con and come to my own conclusion as to their validity. . . . Adamluv

I agree as well. I don't mind hearing a different perspective.. Unless it is truly nasty.. Different points of view are educational.. Heaven knows we see lots of those here.. :)))

I do also agree with Frank Zappa.. It is ultimately what the people decide ie what sells or what is popular that "wins", in one way or another.

I thought the tweet was humorous and fit the discussion.. But can only be taken so seriously...

The tweet just fit the continuing anger at a less than glowing review.

I think receiving both negative and positive reviews is a marker of a genuine artist. The negative reviews - if the artist decides to utilize them - can enable & challenge an artist to hone his craft even more expertly, "dig deep" in who he is as an artist, develop more confidence, and develop the "toughness" that is required in the industry.

Looks to me like Adam has gotten better and better in the face of criticism, warranted or not. Publicity IS, after all, publicity. Americans have a distinctive way of gravitating toward any type of publicity - good or bad. Exposure = more exposure. Not all a bad thing. Just more offensive to Adam's fans :(.
