Honest to God I'm not biased. I listened to BR video with my BOSE headphone. I went back and forth where Adam and FM dueting. To be just and fair Adam's voice is way better in technique. His voice is very clean with better range. I hate gritty heavy rock voice. As if heavy rock singers are choking on a large piece of hot potatoe stuck in back of their throat when they sing. Adam's voice is more glam/operatic rock voice. Just clean gorgeous range.
I always tell to my friends and family the same thing.!!!:) Adam's voice is full and doesn't crack!!!:)
I understand that it's not easy to sing live but Adam has the control and technique how to surrender when it's time and go on to the next level of the performance indeed!!!:)

I'm a huge Adam fan but Freddie Mercury does not have a "gritty heavy rock voice". Far from it. You are Glamberts biased in favour of Adam's voice. Adam sings Queen's rock songs with a lot of operatic vibrato.
Freddie was rock. Adam is theater. Adam will never be a rock or pop singer.
I prefer Adam singing his own songs.
Here we go again: Rock voice vs. operatic vibrato. Pop singer, rock singer, theatrical performer...on and on. I don't care. Adam is a vocal powerhouse, consummate performer, remarkable artist. He owns the stage when he is on it and is mesmerizing to watch. His audience connection is pure electricity. If Brian and Roger are happy with his performances each night during this concert tour, that's all that should matter. The audiences seem to love it all. Rock on Adam and enjoy all the positive reviews and accolades that have come your way. You certainly deserve it.
Great rock singers have all kinds of voices, some raspy and gravely, some clear and operatic, some simply ordinary. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. Adam and Freddie both have soaring operatic vocals. Both could do the other styles if they wanted to. Freddie never had that gritty rock style. Adam has done it on occasion, along with bluesy, more throaty sounds. He can do it all: rock, pop, theater tunes, blues, jazzy songs. We've all heard him sing these types of songs over the last five years. He's nailing these Queen songs, that's for sure.
The review was really quite good, although the writer couldn't quite bring himself to give Adam his 100% due. It's interesting how some of these reviewers just can't bring themselves to come out and say how great Adam is. They sort of tiptoe around it as though it wouldn't be cool to say it. LOL. Good review overall, though.

@DRG this part from that Montreal review struck me the most:
"By entrusting the Mercury role to a younger man, Queen avoided a major pitfall for an ageing group – a regressing lead singer. As bands get older, they often have to drop their songs by a key just to match their vocalist’s decreased range. Having the explosive 32-year-old Lambert at the helm forced May and Taylor to be equally as sharp, and both proved more than able to keep up."
I love rock songs sung with a rock voice and operatic songs sung with an operatic voice.
You don't need a fabulous voice to sing pop, rock, country, blues and jazz etc but you need a fabulous voice to sing opera. :)
Well adam should have stuck to theater and light opera to be appreciated then. I don't think he has any future doing anything else. He comes off like a broadway singer playing rockstar, not an authentic rocker.
6:52 thanks for sharing that article. Great must read review.
6:51 keep your opinion to yourself since you haven't been to any QAL concerts. Adam is mostly getting great reviews from music critiques. The ones I attended people's cheering roar for Adam is as high as their cheering roar for FM. Adam is doing a great job.
@7:21 AM
How do you know @6:51 AM hasn't been to any QAL concerts? Maybe you're just presuming he or she hasn't been to any of the QAL concerts because he or she hasn't said that.

No, he is getting very mediocre reviews. Bad reviews in Vancouver, calgary, LA, San Jose, vegas, dallas, Toronto, etc.
Cont'd Google translation of above French article:
Remembrances
This evening, we also retain a nostalgic interlude for perhaps a little too long. Brian May himself alone in the guitar to sing Love of My Life after explaining that Mercury was sitting right next to him, at this very moment. A verse or two later, the deceased icon appears as a projection to sing with him. It is then the turn of Roger Taylor singing solo Days of Our Lives while we project images of the group at different times. A beautiful moment.
One number missing from the event: Love Kills , first song recorded for Mercury's solo career, where Lambert became entangled in false notes.
As I write these last lines, shortly before 22:15 Brian May is spoiled with a long and crazy guitar solo behind psychedelic lighting. We had not heard the three greatest hits Queen or Bohemian Rhapsody , We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions . But we suspected they kept the best for last.
REMEMBER TO VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO HAS THE BEST FAN ARMY??? www.billboard.com Adam is now leading Katy Perry at a mere 51.01 percent!!!! We need more votes to demonstrate how awesome WE are. . . . .
Overall the reviews have bee very positive. Even the reviewers who don't seem to like Adam usually praise his voice. Some of the reviews are more focused on Queen as an epic band and why they are touring, etc. Some reviewers just don't like any Queen without Freddie.
I can't imagine why 7:46 would so happily list all the "bad" reviews. She must relish the feeling of making others here feel bad. We've all read those reviews, too. They're not all "bad." Adam is doing an amazing job, the band loves him and it's obvious that the audiences do, too. That how it should be.
I hope we get some good Montreal vids soon!

I really don't know why I bother to keep checking in here in the hope that things have changed, but they just get worse.....its so sad, it used to be such a great place to be.Now its just a s**thole of negativity from non fans who come here just to spew their hatred and dislike of anything to do with Adam, and to rile up the few fans that still come here.
@7:46 - good thing that Adam is getting all these bad reviews for you to read and let us know about them on this site . If they were all good then what would YOU do with your sad, lonely, negative life?
HK fan - this is still a great site for Adam fans. Don't go away. Keep scrolling down when you realize a troll. I always come here to brighten my day, haters or not. I like a good laugh and eye roll when I do bother to read the comments of those folks. Differences make the world go round.
The vast majority of the reviews have been good.. And I've read most of them .
A question: did anyone watch any of these awesome videos?? Just curious...
GL - I watch the videos over and over lots. Am unable to attend any of the concerts so I feel part of an audience in this way. Love them all. Thanks to all who take them and who post them.
Glitzylady
I watched all of them over and over... and loved each and everyone.... rose petal
I watch all the videos from all the concerts... And I watch with a smile on my face thinking how amazing Adam is , not only his vocals but his charm and personality too. He truly is one of the best overall entertainers I've ever seen in my life ( and I've seen many ).

You gotta love critics and reviewers who never saw Freddie live, but are experts anyway. It's all a lot of postering on their parts making them sound like they know what they are talking about. They don't, but they give opinions anyway. Personally, howvtheybcan overlook the audience response at each concert is amazing. Oh well they will continue to be "experts" without credibility while the boys play on.
@The Dark Side -thank you for your comments - I do agree with you. Another point that REALLY bothers me is when critics say that Freddie would not have approved of Adam. Were they fortunate enuf to have personnally known Freddie? Doubt it. I think the only ones that can answer that with any authority are Freddie (not possible) and therefore the next best thing = Roger and Brian. Their opinion of Freddie's approval of Adam is the only one that matters to me. . . Adamluv
@7:46 You are full of shit.
Ooops. Just noticed there are two @7:46 postings. My previous message was to the first 7:46 poster.
It is amazing how people talk about Freddie like he is in a contest with Adam it is unfortunate that he is gone but I feel it is disrepectful to him to keep comparing him to Adam.If fans are real fans they would be proud that Freddie is remembered and that Queen is honoring him yes he was part of Queen but not with out the rest of the band would he have been as popular with other band members that is some thing no one will know Adam is probably wondering WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME.Adam Lambert is putting his heart in this tour so is every one involved Freddie is gone Adam is here go to concerts or stay home.Watch videos or don't at least give credit to every one that are going on with the show.I loved the concert love Adam Lambert they are the best all to gether love them or leave them alone.
It's not possible and certainly would be disrespectful to Queen for reviewers not to mention Freddie when they discuss Queen. When people think of Queen, they think of Freddie. It would be the same if Freddie were the guest frontman filling in for Adam. Scroll on through the reviews if people don't want to see Freddie's name.
@glitzylady
The Toronto concert was a blast!!! And these vids are fantastic!
One question I found myself wondering re STL - this Toronto version vs the Montreal (!!!) version...
I wait for all the vids, but like many others, I always check out KQ and STL first (if they are available), also to get the feel of the atmosphere of that night's concert, he he.
After watching the Montreal STL I found myself "a bit skeerrdd" for STL, a song that is so powerful and "gospellike" (I love it!) turning into "another KQ" (which I also love so much!!!), cause imho STL is such a powerful song (strong emotions for many fans!) where Adam really can let his vocals soar in all kinds of acrobatics, but not a song to be made campy (I found myself wishing...)
Don't get me wrong, I'm at awwww with everything Adam does with his voice, just don't wanna him getting flack from Queen purists saying "soon Lambert's turning all Queen songs to campy queenie songs"... Would love to hear your thoughts?! Other posters as well.
What cannot this man do with his VOICE?!?!?!?!
@The Dark Side
LOVED your comment, so true! And the part of reviewers overlooking the audiences' responses, ashtonishing and unprofessional!
@DRG 6:18
Your post was excellent, too. And the last paragraph re the reviewers, my thoughts exactly!
Why do people keep reacting and answering to the obvious DB, such as @6:51 and @7:46?!?
Stay clear of those and enjoy your time here on Adam News 24/7!
Best videos yet Thanks to the one that took the time and patience to take them & thank you for posting them also thank Adam/Queen for a wonderful concert.God bless all that has worked so hard on this tour we fans truly love you all for this.
