And he goes on to talk about Adam Lambert:

"As the first performer on the Idol stage to perform Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and having worked with the band, Maroulis had kind words for Adam Lambert's recent Madison Square Garden appearance. "
" “He’s freakishly talented. He has an instrument — frankly, like Carrie Underwood, who is the type of girl that can wake up in the morning and wail anything imaginable, and so can Adam Lambert. He has become sort of a pop icon and I just don’t think that he has gotten to do what he really wants to do yet. But how do you turn down a collaboration with [Queen]? I have done work with Brian May and all of them are great, and they have always been big fans,” he said. “I think that Adam is a great performer and capable of doing his own Madison Square Garden shows in time. I don't know why but I wasn't wild about the Adam part of his interview.
@kitty..I have to agree with you, it comes across almost as if he is putting Adam down rather than giving him a genuine compliment. Could be a touch of jealousy.
One think Constantine said is true: Adam hasn't really done what he really wants to do yet. But it will come. Like Kitty and Holly, I got the same feeling about C's comments in general about Adam. He praised him, but there was a hint of something in there that didn't ring right. Con. has certainly had a busy career since Idol. He's done many diverse things. I want it ALL for Adam: stage, screen, TV, and hit songs of his own.

I felt the same way about C's comments about Adam. He obviously doesn't think Adam could make it to MSG on his own yet. Sometimes it's hard for a fellow alumni to accept that some one else has very successfully made it. Adam isn't the only one, who is surprised that Queen personally picked him, for their front man. But he has proven he was totally up for the job, and an obvious choice. I don't think Queen is ready to let go of him for a while, either. Adam and Queen are a very tight team, in all respects
and have given Adam a chance to show the world, he has what it takes to be a rock star.
I thought Constatine gave Adam great compliments. He called him freakishly talented and compared Adam to the very successful Carrie. Constantine has no reason to be jealous, he has a very successful Broadway career. It is true Adam couldn't fill MSG on his own yet. It sounds to me like Constantine thinks Adam will some day just like we do.
I don't care his interview made me feel uncomfortable it was passive aggressive to me.
