Is that an official calendar?
I just looked up US laws. Not legal. Also taking money from Adam's pocket IMO.
I ordered one of these last year with MLG's posters...it was great.
They are not making money from Adam....they just charge what the actual cost is..I know people that have ordered the official calendar to support Adam, but don't really like it, so order a fanmade one too.
I don't know Adam or his team obviously, but I would venture to guess that he fully understands the sort of PR and exposure a venture like a fanmade calendar would allow him. Sometimes "visibility" is a better value than money. Even if the fanmade calendar circulates mostly in the existing fandom... even if 100 people see the calendar, hanging in an office or cubicle etc and it generates questions and interest in Adam, then the production and dissemination of the calendar has been an effective, even powerful, tool. I would venture to guess that Adam is well aware of this.
This sort of venture also generates a lot of friendship and camaraderie within his fanbase, something that Adam has mentioned approving of many times.
I have never ordered any Adam calendar, official or otherwise, but I gotta say, it's really impressive!!
If the calendar is strictly made up of pictures that a person took than it is not illegal to make up a calendar & sell it. However if they are taking photos that do not belong to them & do not have permission to use them then that is illegal.
Sorry freestylebunny but in the US a celebrity also owns their image and you cannot attempt to make a profit from their image without their permission.
The pics look like the fan made posters for each concert which makes me wonder if permission from each photographer was also obtained.
I really don't see it as a goodwill thing Adam and his team would as worth the "visibility.". It's out of their control of what image they want to project or the quality. It also may take away from the sale of the official calendar.

The pool of fans that this calendar venture springs from, and its supporters, are hardcore fans that support Adam almost unconditionally, if not totally unconditionally... do you really think Adam would want to "cause a scene" with them. There's one thing I have always loved about Adam outside of the stage performance realm, and it's his brains and savvy. I would only be guessing as I do not know Adam, but I would guess that Adam is fully aware of how important the unconditional support of his existing fanbase is until such time that he captures a larger demographic of the American Pop Culture & Music buying audience. I am not suggesting that ADam would not look out for his best interests and let fans run amok, of course not, but the pool of fans that this venture springs from seems, through social media anyway, a pretty devote but sane and decent group. I must admit that I obviously know anybody personally, including Adam and his team, but I am familiar, through social media, with the creators of the calendar. I have never bought an Adam calendar, js.
5:13 am,
"but I would guess that Adam is fully aware of how important the unconditional support of his existing fanbase is until such time that he captures a larger demographic of the American Pop Culture & Music buying audience. "
So are you suggesting once Adam becomes more popular he won't value unconditional support as much and would stop bootleg calendars then? Or that he is not stopping it now because he is desperate for fans?
We don't even know if Adam is aware of the calendars. He may not think it is something he wants to stop rather he has to stop it because of the legal image issues. I'm sure he wouldn't "make a scene of it." It is further complicated this time with the use of pics of Queen and their logo.
While the creators of the calendar may mean well, they are breaking the law and could find themselves in a lot of trouble if Adam, Queen or one of the owners of one of the pics decides to stop them.

I love a good discourse, but it is clear to me now that you are not open to seeing another viewpoint, not open to the possibility of there being a gray area here and you're only entertaining a black and white scenario. I am not interested in sharing in a discussion of that nature. Have a good weekend fellow Adam fan.
@8.32pm
The person who makes the concert posters only uses pics taken by people that give their permission, and she has given her permission for the posters to be used for the calendars.
why is this any different to the Adam bags/t-shirts/bedding/phone covers/mugs etc that are available to buy which are all unofficial??? would you have a problem buying an Adam mug?
