Not sure why this rumor is still around as Kirkup at DMG catagorically denied it

In part
“Your story is false in all respects,” Kirkup asserts, “and since other outlets have repeated your story focusing on an allegation which is very damaging to Katy Perry—that she is responsible for another artist getting fired, which is categorically untrue—we believe HITS has a responsibility to disavow this malicious rumor as quickly as possible.”As for parting ways with Gomez, Kirkup writes, “a young woman looking for new management asked us to manage her sixweeks ago. Our advice to her was to take some time off, travel abroad, think through what she wanted for her life and for her career—since she has a lot ofoptions in music, film and television—and when she returned from this trip,we’d all talk. That’s exactly what happened. We found we really just didn’t have the same views or strategy about her career and agreed not to move forward together. As her lawyers can confirm, we never discussed or signed a contract,nor did we ever act on her behalf.

@ll:38 PM

Thank you for that information, of course, there will probably never be a follow-up of their false story. This is exactly how unfounded rumors get around. such a shame; people print anything and get away with it if not bought to the public attention! People should check stories before they print them.

Really liked the way Adam's management team handled the situation! Seems as though he is with a good management team!!

Thanks again for calling this to our attention. GOOD FOLLOW-UP FOR THE TRUTH!!!

5:25 AM, you are very welcome.

It is not good when this type of erroneous story keeps getting spread around the internet and today's journalism seems to have slipped to the level of just copy and paste some other story without caring how accurate it is.
