Lyndsey Parker, Yahoo Entertainment Managing Editor, (and Adam Lambert super-fan) reviews American Idol New York Audition Episode, and Guest Judge Adam Lambert...

"For Your Entertainment: Adam Lambert Guest-Judges on 'Idol'"

A few EXCERPTS from the article:

"It was Throwback Thursday on American Idol this week, when the GREATEST CONTESTANT EVER TO COMPETE ON THE SHOW, from THE BEST SEASON EVER, returned and made history as the first alum to ever serve as a guest judge."

"Sorry for going crazy with the capslock there, but I’m talking about the Glamerican Idol himself, Mr. Adam Lambert — the man with better hair than Keith Urban, zingier one-liners than Harry Connick Jr., and some might even say a prettier face than Jennifer Lopez. So of course a regular old font just won’t do."

"Lately, Idol's producers have been harping on and on, longwindedly and sometimes unconvincingly, about how “American Idol creates stars.” But really, seeing Adam six years after his first Idol appearance, his old Hot Topic hoodie and Manic-Panicked combover swapped for a designer suit and subtle tone-on-tone highlights, drove that point home. In 2009, Adam walked into the audition room looking like some cute emo kid; in 2015, he returned looking like a grown-up superstar."

I always love Lyndsey's flailing. She is a master at it. But then, aren't we all? Adam gave millions of AI viewers a new look at him. I imagine many viewers haven't seen him in a while. And some have never seen him. Wit, charm, looks, humor, and talent all rolled into one amazing human being.

I loved this stint on Idol and Lyndsey's article. Other articles just as nice to Adam. He's our Idol through the ages and that will never change.

Lindsey's berting hard!!! She always does....just like us :)))

Adam was glorious last night....the voice of an angel, the stunning good looks...Thud.

Hope the millions of viewers enjoyed his "second audition" . He was soooo cute when he said, "You made me nervous!" The man who fronts Queen was nervous in his audition....adorable.

Great article, Lyndsey! :)

I agree....Hollywood Anderson's song-writing and delivery was goosebump worthy. The song has an element to it that just reaches your soul. He puts his all into his singing in such am original style. It will be interesting to watch how he handles the standard pieces requited on idol with his unique voice and delivery style. Will he be able to pull off making them all his own?

I thought Travis is an outstanding selection as well. I mean - wow. Seems to be the whole package.

Adam (the contestant toy designer guy) looks like a hoot to watch and I think he will do pretty well... his voice and skills seem quite versatile. He add so much personality, too.

I don't typically watch Idol anymore - not for a long time (umm.. about 6 years, maybe? ;)). These fellows kind of perked my interest. Some of the contestants stories brought tears to my eyes (AI has always been quite good at that). And, Adam's stint didn't hurt - not one bit. If his appearance was intended to entice viewers again...well, it just might have worked for this gal. Only thing is...I'll be missing him now. :(
He did a great job!
