No time to be in love, Adam. You are on tour. May be when you get home, but we don't fall in love with everyone we meet. You have been in love twice, what makes that feeling disappear? Don't expect a relationship to be all honeymoon and no downside.

Just a comment: can we just enjoy the lightheartedness of the gifs and his comments.. and not get into "that" discussion again? Please??? Adam did go on to comment that he's on tour and doesn't have time to date.. And the rest of it is none of our business...

Cute stage banter appears to be the truth.

I know Adam is loving this tour, and it is a huge honor for him to be chosen to be the lead singer, but I think he is also looking forward to going home and enjoying putting the finishing touches to his own music. I think he is very excited about the music finally being released this summer. He started it 2 years ago, but didn't get too serious until he went to Sweden a year ago and worked with Max Martin.
I know all his fans are also excited for the new single to come out soon too.

Many a true word spoken in jest.

By the way, my comment was in reply to @Anon 12:56 PM, not to Adam.. :)))

Maybe Adam will meet someone soon and they can do things like facetime every night and talk during the day. Who knows maybe Adam and Sauli are doing that now.

Anonymous said...

That is such an awkward thing to talk about before singing. Makes me embarrassed for him. He should skip that part and just sing.

This gif proves I'm a total gonner. I've been sitting here watching him move his mouth for the longest time, and I don't even care that he's not making a sound.

@1:44
I agree with you 100%. Adam and Sauli have a history together. Adam and Sauli need to be single right now, so they have freedom to go about their individual lives, without any strings to another person. But that doesn't mean they are not in love with each other, but if you love someone enough, you let them go. In their case, it was to have the freedom needed to follow their careers. It's an odd kind of life right now, but maybe they will eventually be able to stay together permanently or move on to a different life with someone else. IMO the next 2 years may settle things down a bit career wise. Someone said in a comment that Adam never says anything about Sauli when interviewed, that is because he refuses to answer any questions about him. It is understood that Adam will only answer questions about his music. Adam has made that quite clear that questions about Sauli are off the table, and won't be answered.

Sometimes I wish Adam would do less of a banter. The audiences seem to appreciate this lighthearted side of him though.

Adam has always done "banter" even before he was famous. I think it's just his thing and very cute. Not many could hold their own the way Adam does. Adam has said he does not get embarrassed and I believe him. I wish I was like that. More power to him!

yada said...

So do I, nancdruuu2! I'll be the first person to admit that I can be such a dork....
(May as well be confident about it. haha)

To me, I think it's a part of what makes Adam relateable....
It puts his humanness on display in an amusing way... And reveals a touch of his vulnerability. Lest that type of vulnerability be disconcerting, however, I am easily reminded of how remarkably strong and thick-skinned Adam really is and has chosen to be. I think, perhaps, he is really aware of what he's doing up there even more than we may all realize.... :)

Having shared that .... On a global scale, perhaps not everyone will appreciate that aspect of his stage presence come Era3. Sometimes peeps can desire their celebrities to be virtually god-like. Invincible. Especially the men. Sigh...

And if at any point now or in the future that turns out to being the case....
For me, personally, anyway... I'm putting some hopeful expectation into Adam's publicist and management team to let him know. I'm thinking he will be okay :)

I recall in the past that there were those who commented that Adam didn't chat enough with the audience during his shows.. I think he's just cuter than heck when he says a few things.. I went to **some** of his GNT shows back in the day, and a comment I heard somewhat frequently was "he doesn't interact with the audience enough..".. I think he's doing a nice job connecting more with the audience and if he comes across as a little bit of a dork at times it's cool.. Better than coming across as a stuffed shirt or an arrogant jerk... I do like it when he goes "off script" sometimes.. So real... and always fun...

Gabi said...

@glitzylady, I remember that his banter during GNT was pretty limited and scripted and I thought that someone with his charisma could only win by going more "off script". He's doing that now and I guess even if there are some dorky moments at times it makes him relatable and quite endearing.

Banter is great between songs. I've seen some great comments and stories at other artists concerts. Adam is still awkward IMO and not in an adorable dorky way. It would be best if he either has some help with scripted banter he sticks to or to not talk much.

Anonymous said...

@7:51
You are so right, I enjoy some banter between songs, but Adam has been quite awkward sometimes on this tour. It's like he is trying to use the time for a filler, while the band is getting ready. I have noticed there have been a few times he was almost at a loss for words, trying to make his banter lead into the next song
which is a bit different than just chatting with the audience. He should have a few words scripted to choose from if he is leading into the next song. I am surprised this hasn't been done already, he has been touring with these songs for some time now. Or else not say anything for a segway.

Anonymous said...

Agree with both @7:51 and @8:23.
I am actually surprised at Adam being awkward in his banter between songs when I know he is supposedly a great talker.
It just doesn't add up, don't know why.

Gabi said...

I wonder why Adam's PR people or even Brian and Roger wouldn't step in and offer some guidance for some of those weird transitions between songs. Could it be that we fans are expecting too much? Or do we get uncomfortable as we know Adam too well?

Anonymous said...

I like his banter and the audience too given the reactions he gets. I highly doubt he cares what some anonymous concern trolls might think.

Anonymous said...

1:22 am, we aren't concern trolls we are fans expressing our opinions.

I agree with you at 1:22 AM. I think it makes Adam seem so down to earth and adorable. He is just being himself. Love it so much. He will get more comfortable as time goes by; if not; who cares. As long as he keeps us entertained with that beautiful voice. He is not a comedian, so does not need to be scripted.

I think some are just mad because he says that he is not in love. Their problem, not Adam's.

Very surprised at the critical comments; sounds like the same person. I would say get a life; and let Adam be Adam; on stage and off. Love our adorkable baby!!

Just Sang your heart out baby; I will take anything else that comes along with it; and feel very honored to hear anything coming from this beautiful humble talented, kind, down to earth man!! Those that don't like it; put plugs in your ears during that time!

agree, you are so right. Someone here is uncomfortable that Adam is talking about love or not in love.
But why? ;)
It is just adorable and lovely banter. Nothing else, cheer up people!

Anonymous said...

I don't think people "are uncomfortable" just because of this "love-banter". I recall him saying himself the other night to Brian that maybe he should "wash his mouth with soap". He was talking naughty. I think that sometimes he can't control himself and what he is saying when he is too excited. And at these times his banter is not always so adorable and awesome, IMO.

Anonymous said...

Oh my...ya'll think too much...

So glad Adam is in Europe. Nobody there thinks his banter is naughty (lol!) and even if it were, nobody would care. Rock on, Adam, have fun and say what ever you feel like saying. Not that deep.

Anonymous said...

He is very nice with his banter if you compare him to other rock and roll musik people. It is not opera or church. In other words: What do you want from him?
He always did it.
Have you not watch him before?

Anonymous said...

@9:22 AM

Please be accurate when you try and quote Adam; he said nothing to Brian about washing his mouth out with soap; and you should know that. His remark was about a person in the audience when he was down singing, part of Radio GaGa with them; he said something about the man's breathe and he apologized and said; "we are still friends right? Then he looked at Brian feeling a little bad I think, and said something like, "we were so close, so close," and that he probably needed mouthwash too! Brian looked at Adam and playfully said, "you need help", Adam and the whole audience cracked up. Now that was such a lovely dorkable moment; so cute. He was so honest not thinking that he said anything malicious; and no one took it that way. Cutest most funniest moment of the night.

Because it was Adam and not mean spirited; everyone just seemed to love that moment; it endeared him to me even more! I bet Adam is a real hoot with his friends; just love this man; how could you not???

Nice to get facts a little accurate when possible, OK? You are the one being naughty by not telling the truth about what Adam actually said; or at least close to what he said; you were way out in left field making up your so called fact. What you said about Adam was NOT TRUE!!!!

JAK said...

Adams banter is sometimes borderline crude, but considering what his off stage banter with friends probably is, we should be thankful for his restraint.

Anonymous said...

Ditto, JAK!

Okay, OkAY, OKAY! Adam is adorable, everything that comes out from his adorable mouth is adorable, his banter is adorable. He is the Gift Of God, I know!!! Sorry if I misunderstood something He said; the stream was bad.

Does the world go around still?

No one has mentioned that these songs were written by Freddie and were describing his situation. FM was always searching for love and part of the difficulty was people being interested in him due to his celebrity. "Queen Forever" the latest cd from Queen has been described as "love songs" by Roger. So being a fan of Freddie and Adam, there's not too many segues into STL. But I don't take it as a description of Adam's own situation. Honestly, we don't know how many times Adam has been in love, because we don't know everything about all of his prior experiences, only the ones after he came to public notice. Just know that FM found celebrity made life more difficult on a personal level and that it became harder to trust people. Just want Adam to have whatever it is he wants personal and career-wise.

Anonymous said...

I have noted the awkwardness and it does feel a bit odd at times, perhaps because although Adam wears each and every song out, vocally, these are very personal lyrics which he didn't write. Not saying people can't sing other people's songs, but most of Queen's stuff is autobiographical to a degree if you listen to the words.
